On August 11th, 2009, 15-year-old Kayla Berg, after a fairly unremarkable day of hanging out with friends, went out with a trusted family friend, named Kevin Kielcheski.  Although Kevin was 9 years older, Kayla had known Kevin virtually her entire life, was somewhat of a 'protective older brother-type,' and there was nothing unusual about them spending time together, according to her friends and family. Kayla has never returned home. After 16 years of investigations and searches, authorities have been unable to find her. She would be seen a short time later at a local McDonalds before allegedly being dropped off at a house 34 miles away. She would never be seen again. A welcome home gift, a condemned house, and a viral You-Tube video.On August 11th, 2009 15-year-old Kayla Berg left to go riding around with a 24-year-old male friend in Antigo, Wisconsin.  He says he dropped her off at a friend's house but no one else can confirm that story.  What police discovered about the house he claimed he dropped her off at leaves more questions than answers.  Where is Kayla Berg?Kayla is a white female 5'2, 108 lbs.  She has brown hair and brown eyes.Last seen: wearing a  red spaghetti-strap top, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, tan low-heeled sandals and a silver ringed necklace Scar on her right shin and small chicken pox scars on her right cheek and the right side of her nose. She has abdominal scars from laparoscopic surgery, and her appendix has been removed. 15-year old Kayla Berg and her mom Hope Sprenger, moved back to their hometown of Antigo, Wisconsin - from Texas, nearing the end of July and beginning of August 2009. Despite the joy she felt at seeing her old friends and family from her hometown, Kayla had to leave behind friends and her gymnastics team in Texas. One of her brother's friends picked Kayla up at her father's house at about 8:30 p.m. The two arrived at McDonald's half an hour later. Kayla ran inside, talked briefly with her friend, and then left. She had told her friend she planned to ride around in the car for a while. "The last we pretty much know about the story we have, is around 10 p.m.," said Antigo Police Chief Eric Roller. "The male says he dropped her off ... at her boyfriend's house in Wausau." Wausau is 34 miles from Antigo. Sprenger didn't approve of the boyfriend. "I didn't feel comfortable that he was 19 she was 15," she said. The brother's friend said he last saw Kayla when she got out of his vehicle and walked toward a house she said was that of her boyfriend. No one else saw Kayla get out of the car, Roller said, but investigators were able to confirm that the 24-year old driver returned at midnight to his parents' house in Deerbrook, about 45 minutes away. Six days later, on August 17, Kayla's mother reported her missing. A reward is being offered by Kayla's family for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for her disappearance. An additional reward is being offered by Langlade County Crimestoppers. The sixth suspected victim was 17 year old Shirley Stewart. On January 2nd, 1980, she was last seen leaving her job at a at a maid clinic in madison. Almost a year and a half later, on July 16th, 1981, four archaeology students where mapping a state park in the town of westport. Westport is a small town just north of Madison. Not too far from the Waunakee Marsh state wildlife area. As the students were mapping the Indanolo area on the north shore of Lake Medona, they discovered Shirley's body, hidden in a bush about 50 feet into the thick woods. www.searchingforclosure.com

The case of Susan Lemahieu is honestly one of the more tragic cases I've looked into since I started to investigate the mad city murders.. Normally when I run a newspaper search of victims names, I get hundreds of articles. When I ran Christine Rothschild name and narrowed the search results to only show articles between 1968 and 1969, I was shown almost 300 articles. But when i searched for Susan with no date restrictions, I only found 9. And the majority of them only linked her to the other women associated with these murders, all of whom had so many more articles. There are a multitude of theories out there.
