The Dwarf Fortress Roundtable podcast is a true gem for fans of the game. As someone who discovered Dwarf Fortress through its Steam release, I was thrilled to stumble upon this podcast in search of information and discussion about this breathtaking game. The hosts, Jonathan, Roland, and Tony, bring a perfect blend of insights and irreverence to each episode, making it an entertaining and informative listen. Whether you're a casual player or a hardcore fan, there's something for everyone in this podcast.
One of the best aspects of The Dwarf Fortress Roundtable is the wealth of tips and information about the game that the hosts provide. They delve into the intricacies and complexities of Dwarf Fortress with ease, sharing their own experiences and strategies while also bringing in guest speakers to offer different perspectives. Each episode leaves me with helpful nuggets of knowledge that I can apply to my own gameplay.
Additionally, the humor and camaraderie between the hosts make listening to this podcast an absolute joy. They have great chemistry and their banter adds a light-hearted touch to discussions about a game that can be quite daunting for newcomers. It's clear that they are passionate about Dwarf Fortress and genuinely enjoy engaging with their audience.
However, one minor downside of The Dwarf Fortress Roundtable is that sometimes there can be inaccuracies or confusion when discussing updates or dev logs from the game. While this doesn't detract significantly from the overall quality of the podcast, it may leave more seasoned players wanting more precise information at times.
In conclusion, if you're a fan of Dwarf Fortress or even just curious about it, I highly recommend giving The Dwarf Fortress Roundtable podcast a listen. The hosts' expertise combined with their witty banter create an enjoyable experience that will leave you itching to dive deeper into the world of Dwarf Fortress. From informative discussions to humorous anecdotes, this podcast truly captures the essence of what makes this game so captivating.

Sorry it took us so long to get back - but we're finally here, ready to talk all about the PAX West 2022 Dwarf Fortress Demo. https://youtu.be/uE-FCtGdwMI
Greetings folks, Jonathan here - hope everything's going well for you. I know that we'd planned to do an episode detailing advanced world generation this time around, but as things worked out… we've not done that. Instead, we're starting our summer hiatus a bit earlier than planned - which feels about right - seems this first half of the 2022 season has had a lot of hiccups and delays. We take these breaks twice a year to make sure the show doesn't turn into a job - Dwarf Fortress Roundtable is a hobby for us and we love doing it, but there is definitely work that goes on behind the scenes - and taking time off a couple times a year helps make sure it doesn't turn into drudgery. In any case, we'll be back in September and we'll definitely do that advanced world generation episode within the first couple episodes. - unless of course we have a new release to cover, in which case we'll play it by ear. As usual, we'll be suspending our Patreon donations while we're in our dormant state - and I'd like to thank all our patrons for their continued financial support - When we do the fake ad reads during the episodes and say "This segment of Dwarf Fortress Roundatable is made possible by…" - those patreon donations absolutely make the podcast possible - so thank you so much. Also, We'd like to extend our warm thanks to all of you out there that download and listen to each episode. We had no idea that we'd get through 70 episodes when we started this thing - and our listenership has been growing steadily the whole time. Thank you so much and we look forward to doing this for the long haul. So everybody have a good remainder of your northern hemisphere summer and southern hemisphere winter, and we'll talk to you again in September. Happy Fortressing everyone.
