I was at MomoCon working with the Momentum 2025 speedrun marathon! I will be back at Summer Games Done Quick 2025 as a host! SAG-AFTRA is now pushing back over Fortnite's use of James Earl Jones' voice to say generative AI voice lines instead of trying to work with existing voice actors who have taken over the Darth Vader character in other games. There are a few games that can't run on the Switch 2, but it's really not as surprising or bad as you think. Die ursprüngliche PS4-Version von Days Gone litt unter erheblichen Performance-Problemen, insbesondere einer einbrechenden Bildrate, die den Spielspaß empfindlich störte – ironischerweise mehr als die eigentlichen Zombiehorden. Auf der PS5 lief bereits die ältere Version technisch problemlos, die Remastered-Auflage stellt nun die finale Politur dar. Die Entscheidung, ob das 10-Euro-Upgrade zur PS5-Fassung gerechtfertigt ist, hängt stark von den eigenen Ansprüchen ab, da viele der Detailverbesserungen erst im direkten Vergleich wirklich ins Auge fallen. Ein klarer Pluspunkt ist die überarbeitete, deutlich realistischere Lichtdarstellung, die vor allem nächtliche Erkundungstouren mit dem Motorrad atmosphärischer gestaltet. Neben den zusätzlichen Modi (Horde, Speedrun, Permadeath) sowie der Integration von DualSense und 3D-Audio sucht man nach substanziellen, spielverändernden Neuerungen jedoch vergeblich. Für Liebhaber des Zombie-Shooter-Genres und all jene, die das Original verpasst haben, ist die Remastered-Version sicherlich einen Blick wert. Wer das Abenteuer auf der PS4 jedoch bereits erlebt hat, wird angesichts der eher kosmetischen und inhaltlich überschaubaren Erweiterungen wohl kaum einen zwingenden Grund für ein erneutes Investment sehen.

Val Kilmer was an excellent actor who could do it all. Whether he was the lead, a supporting character, or Batman himself, Kilmer always left his mark. Most people know him from Tombstone - and rightfully so! We talk about our fondest memories of one of the best actors of this generation.People already know there is no way a whole year will go by without a Stephen King adaptation. 2025 is testing how many King works movie going audiences will go out and see. We already talked about The Monkey, so what is next? We also do something different this week. Anyone up for a speed run?Demonoid from 1981 has an awesome poster. Why there are scantily clad babes clinging to a demon a la Conan the Barbarian is something the film never answers. The vampire in the background also remains a mystery. Still, it is an awesome poster that horror movie fans should check out.Regrettably, the film is nowhere near as good. It is a confusing mess that does not bother to explain much. No one has any definable motivation and the twist ending seems to go against what seems to be the hand's ultimate plan. It seems like the filmmakers did not know whether Demonoid was heading to theaters or network television and the score is straight out of the 1970s. There is a weird charm to it, but is it enough?The Hell House LLC franchise is a cult favorite that often gets overlooked. When it was announced the writer/director Stephen Cognetti would be releasing a straight forward haunted house story, we were excited. His work in found footage was excellent and we wanted to see how it would translate to a more narrative form of storytelling.Unsurprisingly, the scares were the best part of 825 Forest Road. It is in the actual storytelling where the film loses a little of its luster. While there is nothing that is outright bad, there are some very noticeable flaws. The attempts at family drama fall flat and there is very little character development. The ending would have been fine for found footage, but for an actuall movie…?
