IN THIS PODCAST: In the passage for today Jesus sends out His disciples into the world to proclaim the good news to all peoples. He gave them important instructions to adhere to as they began their missions. Today, we are all called to be missionaries as part of our baptismal commitment just as Jesus did 2000 years ago. The church also commemorates this day as a memorial to St. Maria Goretti. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 10:1-7 by Rev. Fr. Joseph Beck, CSsR, on 06 July 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: This gospel passage continues with Jesus commissioning the disciples to go and preach the good news to the people. Fr. Charles has a message for us today about raising our children in the right christian way. Today's parents are going through many frustrations and struggles to bring up in the right way. He says we can take comfort in the fact that we are not alone in this. We need to cultivate a sense of detachment and do our job to raise our children in christian values and leave the rest to God. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 10:7-15 by Rev. Fr. Charles Vijay, CSsR, on 07 July 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: Our faith is built on the faith and blood of the Apostles, saints and martyrs. This was attained the hard way through struggles, persecution, sacrifice and martyrdom. Just because we bear the name of Christ and follow in His footsteps we are very unpopular and liable to persecution. But Jesus assures us that those who suffer persecution because of His name, He will continue to stand with us and the power of the Holy Spirit will be invested in us. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 10:16-23 by Rev. Fr. Edgar Moreira, CSsR, on 08 July 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: The passage for today is in continuation of Jesus sending out the apostles on their missions. Jesus chose unworthy people and gave them an awareness that they are priceless in the eyes of God. He says that they will encounter hardships and persecution on His account but assures them to fear not as He will be with them in their journeys. In this context, Fr. Gerard quotes St Francis de Sales saying ‘to fear God out of love and not love Him out of fear.' This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 10:24-33 by Rev. Fr. Gerard Solomon, CSsR, on 09 July 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: In the gospel passage today we are reminded that God comes first in our priorities and the rest follows. Our faith needs to be rooted in Jesus and not in the false sense of security and material possessions. God leaves us with hard choices between Him and our Families and wealth. He assures that everything will fall into place as long as we surrender to Him even if we have to face rejection and persecution on His account. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 10:34-11:1 by Rev. Fr. Gerard Solomon, CSsR, on 11 July 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: In the gospel passage today Jesus denounces the cities Corazon, Betsaida and Capernaum because of the hard heartedness of the people there despite the many wonders and miracles performed by Him. In the same way Jesus questions our way of life. Are we able to accept Jesus and change our lifestyle to live one like the Lord wants us to? He invites us not to be indifferent and hard hearted but to repent and return to the Lord. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 11:20-24 by Rev. Fr. Siluvai Muthu, CSsR, on 12 July 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: Today we celebrate the two pillars - Sts Peter and Paul, who were the foundation of the church after Jesus. Jesus inspired these two unique individuals and called them to fulfill a mission in the church. Fr. Christopher points out that in the same way, we are also entrusted with a unique call to fulfill our mission in the church today. He opens our eyes to answer this call from God in all faith and sincerity. This is an awakening call that each and every one of us is unique and each one has a particular mission to be fulfilled using all the talents and resources that we are blessed with. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 16:13-17 by Rev. Fr. Christopher Ponnusamy, CSsR, on 29 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: In this homily, Fr. Robin outlines the life and teachings of the Blessed Sarnelli as an example to reflect on the passage for today. To be a disciple of Jesus we need to abide in HIM. In doing so we need to move away from our own self centeredness towards being more God centered. We need to reach out to the abandoned and marginalized like Genaro Sarnelli and become messengers of love in Gods kingdom. It is therefore necessary to preach the gospel not in words alone but more so in action. This homily was preached on the passage from Jn 15:1-8 by Rev. Fr. Robin Kumar, CSsR, on 30 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: All are welcome to join the table of the Lord, even the greatest sinners; the Lord gives an invitation for cleansing, pardoning and change of life of St. Matthew, whose life is an example of this. Let us pray for the grace to accept the Lord in our lives. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 9:9-13 by Rev. Fr. Prakash Lakra, CSsR, on 01 July 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: This homily hovers on the thought “to know Jesus there is peace and if there is no Jesus in our lives, there is no peace.” The question of fasting and leading austere lives is highlighted in Jesus and his disciples who did not entirely follow the laws like the scribes and pharisees. Our reasons for fasting during specific times calls for us to share that suffering of Christ and be one with Him for our salvation. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 9:14-17 by Rev. Fr. Sandeep Menezes, CSsR, on 02 July 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: In this gospel passage Jesus rewards the tremendous faith of the Roman soldier whose daughter had died and the lady who was suffering for 12 years with hemorrhage. He cleansed and healed them by His touch. Fr. Abraham adds that an encounter with Jesus, transforms us, cleanses us, heals us and brings new meaning into our lives. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 9:18-26 by Rev. Fr. Joseph Abraham, CSsR, on 04 July 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: In this gospel passage we see that Jesus spent all His life doing good. He relentlessly went about helping people with his words of comfort, compassion, healings and miracles. This did not augur well with the scribes and Pharisees who found fault with everything He did even to the extent of claiming that His powers are from the evil one. But Jesus is not cowed down. In fact He doubles up His work even more zealously and relentlessly. The message from this passage is: Never stop doing good, because at the end of the day it is only Our Father in heaven who who will judge us, This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 9:32-37 by Rev. Fr. Charles Vijay, CSsR, on 05 July 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: We hear in the readings today about opening our lives to the Word of God. Fr. Shane Varghese challenges us to ask ourselves as Catholics what impact the ‘Word of God' has in our lives. He asks if we take time everyday to meditate on God's word as a person and as a family. We will be empowered to withstand and handle the pressures of life when we read the word of God and live by the teachings. We will be able to gaze on the Lord when we are rooted in the faith and power of God's Word. This is very much reflected in the lives of saints John Fisher, Thomas Moore and Paulinus. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 7:15-20 by Rev. Fr. Shane Varghese, CSsR, on 22 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: Today is the feast of the birth of St. John the Baptist who was chosen by God to be the forerunner to announce the coming of the Messiah. The life of St. John the Baptist teaches us to be humble and accept the will of God. The name ‘John' was not a common name and it indicates that ‘God is gracious'. Fr. Joseph challenges us to live our life as St. John the Baptist and practice the humility he professed. This homily was preached on the passage from Lk 1:57-66,80 by Rev. Fr. Joseph Abraham, CSsR, on 23 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: On the feast of the solemnity of the most sacred heart of Jesus, Fr Shiju explains to us this great mystery. Just as the heart is a vital organ and the centercentre of feelings and emotions, from it flows actions that define us as moral beings. We celebrate this to commemorate that God still loves us and as a symbol of Jesus' self sacrificing love. The essence, the substance and nature of God is love and that is what we celebrate today. This homily was preached on the passage from Lk 1:57-66,80 by Rev. Fr. Shiju Mulaserril, CSsR, on 24 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: Today the church celebrates the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In this homily Fr. Robin enlightens us on the compassionate and merciful heart of Mother Mary which was dedicated to God and God alone. The heart that we venerate today was not only pure, holy, glorified and dedicated to God, but one which also was broken, pained, distressed and shattered from the day she said ‘yes' to God's divine plan. Mary did not question the ways of God, but always pondered on them in her heart. This homily was preached on the passage from Lk 2:41-51 by Rev. Fr. Robin Kumar, CSsR, on 25 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: Today's gospel passage speaks about the most desolate moment in the life of Jesus where He gives us His mother as our mother. In doing so, she became the ‘Mother of the church'. Mary holds all those who believe and follow her Son, close to her heart. On the feast of our Mother of Perpetual help, we are reminded of God's faithfulness and the assurance that Our Mother is journeying with us in our struggles, giving us hope and strength in our quest for eternal life. This homily was preached on the passage from Jn 19:25-27 by Rev. Fr. Shane Varghese, CSsR, on 27 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord.

Assisi Saldanha, CSsR, on 28 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord

This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 6:7-15 by Rev. Fr. John Matthew, CSsR, on 16 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: The people nowadays invest a lot of money, time and resources to acquire wealth and secure a safe future. This wealth and treasure is perishable and does not last forever. In today's gospel Jesus tells us not to yearn for treasures on earth but earn treasures for ourselves in heaven. Fr. Siluvai Muthu reminds that in the words of Jesus “ Do not live for treasures on earth but for the treasures in heaven” This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 6:19-23 by Rev. Fr. Siluvai Muthu, CSsR, on 16 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord

This passage helps us understand the various aspects of our life in relation to God. Fr. Charles asks us to continue our work here on earth while ensuring God is in the centre of it all. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 6:24-34 by Rev. Fr. Charles Vijay, CSsR, on 18 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: It is our inherent nature that we are judgmental of others while we generally overlook our own shortcomings. We are quick to condemn others for their actions. In this gospel passage Jesus encourages us to profess the virtue of being merciful and less judgemental and instead to be supportive of our neighbour to overcome their shortcomings. Our actions seem hypocritical when we try to remove the speck from our neighbors eye while we have a log in ours. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 7:1-5 by Rev. Fr. Christopher KL, CSsR, on 20 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
IN THIS PODCAST: In life we realize that some people possess an insatiable hunger for authority and power. We have no power of our own. Whatever authority we possess is only because God has permitted it. It is very clear in the scriptures that ‘a humble and contrite heart will see the face of God.' We should approach God in full faith, complete trust and humility in ways that appear narrow for it is these stringent and disciplined paths that lead us to eternal life. This homily was preached on the passage from Mt 7:6, 12-14 by Rev. Fr. Gerard Solomon, CSsR, on 21 June 2022. Let us reflect and pray to the Lord
