Fear is something we all face. Whether it's anxiety, insecurity, depression, uncertainty, or something else, the question is: What do you do with your fear? Do you try to ignore it, face it in your own strength, or bring it to Jesus? Looking at Psalm 56:3, "When I am afraid, I put my trust in you," we see why David knew could trust God. God saw him, knew him intimately, rescued him, and faithfully led every step of his life. Because of who he is, we can trust Jesus in the hard times, the waiting, and everything in between. No matter what, we can trust Jesus.

Jesus taught us to respond to insults not on the basis of rights, but on the basis of His grace. Examples given by Jesus: No right to retaliate. (v.39) No right to possessions. (v.40) No right to time. (v.41) No right to money. (v.42) Lesson: So Christians possess no rights at all, but we possess overflowing grace! Reflection questions for our personal development: 1. If we wish we could strike back at someone who has hurt us, what do we really desire? 2. Why are we quick to take offense or ready to resent being insulted? 3. How does it affect us when others take up our time or cost us money?

Recentemente, me deparei com uma coluna da atriz Ingrid Guimarães no jornal "O Globo" intitulada "Se Jesus estivesse aqui". O texto, que rapidamente viralizou, tenta pintar um Cristo que se amolda perfeitamente ao paladar da nossa cultura atual: um Jesus que "pularia ondas", "tomaria vinho com espíritas" e "meditaria com budistas". À primeira vista, parece uma mensagem de amor e tolerância, mas, quando olhamos de perto, percebemos algo muito mais perigoso.O que estamos vendo aqui é a tentativa de criar um "Jesus Relativo" — um ícone que não confronta, não transforma e, principalmente, não exige arrependimento. Eu acho curioso, para não dizer trágico, quando figuras públicas que não vivem a realidade do Reino tentam ensinar à Igreja quem é o seu próprio Senhor. A Igreja estuda, segue e serve a Cristo há 2.000 anos. Não precisamos de uma releitura artística para entender o que está escrito de forma absoluta nas Escrituras.Jesus não é uma ideia positiva que você molda conforme sua conveniência. Ele é O Caminho, a Verdade e a Vida. Ele amava os pecadores? Sim, profundamente. Mas Ele os chamava à Metanoia — uma mudança radical de mente. Ele não se unia ao pecado; Ele libertava as pessoas dele. Dizer que Jesus aceitaria todas as práticas religiosas como caminhos válidos é ignorar Sua própria voz nos Evangelhos e abraçar a heresia universalista.Além disso, precisamos falar sobre esse ataque sutil à Igreja através da frase: "Amo Jesus, não o fã-clube". Entenda: a Igreja é o Corpo de Cristo. Ela é imperfeita, sim, porque é composta por nós, mas ela é a Noiva que Ele virá buscar. Não existe relacionamento com o Rei enquanto você despreza o Seu Reino e a Sua família.Neste vídeo, eu quero pontuar por que esse discurso "simpatizante" de Jesus é, na verdade, uma negação de quem Ele realmente é. This is the third sermon in a four part sermon series.

In Matthew 12:15-21, we encounter a profound paradox: the hope the world had been waiting 400 years for didn't arrive as expected. Instead of a conquering superhero-Messiah wielding political power, Jesus came as a servant-Messiah, whispering to those He healed not to make Him known. This wasn't weakness—it was strategic humility. Isaiah's prophecy reveals Jesus' heart: He won't break a bruised reed or snuff out a smoldering wick. What does this mean for us today? If we're feeling beaten down, overlooked, or like our flame is flickering out, Jesus sees us exactly where we are. He doesn't come to break us further but to mend us, to fan our dying embers back into flame. The audacity of God's plan is staggering—He didn't just come to save one nation but the entire cosmos. When we know Jesus, we know hope. When there is no Jesus, there is no hope. This Christmas season reminds us that hope isn't a concept we grasp; hope is a Person who grasps us. Jesus meets us in our helplessness, our hopelessness, our spiritual homelessness, and invites us into something greater than ourselves—a kingdom victory that's already won.

✈️ Como Voar em Meio à Tempestade e Chegar Seguro?No episódio

John 6:59-60 These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum. Therefore, many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?” Today, we learn that the teaching about the bread of life took place in the synagogue of Capernaum. We also learn that it wasn't just the crowd that balked at His teaching. Many of His disciples had a hard time with the statement Jesus made. I think the difficult statement was in verse 56. “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.” Who can listen to it? Or we might say in the context of eating, “Who can stomach the idea of eating His flesh or drinking His blood?” Something to note about Jesus' love for God and for these people: He wanted His Father to get all the glory. He didn't try to be relevant or present His message in such a way that His listeners could understand what He said from a natural mindset. Rather, He spoke the truth of the gospel with 100% trust in the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts. I'm not suggesting that we shouldn't try to communicate God's word as clearly as we can, but ultimately, only the Holy Spirit can open the heart to understand and effectually believe. Like Jesus, we want to love them by speaking the truth as clearly as we can, but trusting God to do His work of drawing them to Jesus. There are many difficult or puzzling statements made by Jesus that are recorded in the gospels. If we focus on them, we may find ourselves plagued with many doubts. However, we aren't responsible to do something with what we don't understand. We are responsible to respond to what we do understand. Deuteronomy 29:29 attests to this fact. “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law.” The context is different, but the truth is timeless. Let's not stumble or grumble about the things we don't understand or that are difficult statements. Instead, let's be amazed at the truth about Jesus that we do understand, apply it to our lives, and share it with others. The encouragement I draw from these verses is that in living to love with Jesus, there will be times I don't understand what's happening, but I can trust Him, nonetheless. In the following verses, we'll see that is the attitude of some of the disciples. Bottom line is this: Love flows out of trust. May we trust in Jesus no matter what happens in our lives. He is worthy of our trust and worthy of the glory it brings Him when we do so. I invite you to become a partner in our ministry.
