One of the foundational truth we are called to incorporate in our foundation is to have faith in God. Faith is not only express in believing God's word but in faithfulness toward God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. To be faithful to God is to be obedient to his word and to the path he guides us on no matter what we have to face. God tells us that he doesn't give us more then we can bare, we are to trust him and keep moving forward through obedience. Jesus in his last days on earth ask one question he wondered if he would find faith which includes faithfulness on earth when he would return.

In Matthew 12:15-21, we encounter a profound paradox: the hope the world had been waiting 400 years for didn't arrive as expected. Instead of a conquering superhero-Messiah wielding political power, Jesus came as a servant-Messiah, whispering to those He healed not to make Him known. This wasn't weakness—it was strategic humility. Isaiah's prophecy reveals Jesus' heart: He won't break a bruised reed or snuff out a smoldering wick. What does this mean for us today? If we're feeling beaten down, overlooked, or like our flame is flickering out, Jesus sees us exactly where we are. He doesn't come to break us further but to mend us, to fan our dying embers back into flame. The audacity of God's plan is staggering—He didn't just come to save one nation but the entire cosmos. When we know Jesus, we know hope. When there is no Jesus, there is no hope. This Christmas season reminds us that hope isn't a concept we grasp; hope is a Person who grasps us. Jesus meets us in our helplessness, our hopelessness, our spiritual homelessness, and invites us into something greater than ourselves—a kingdom victory that's already won.

There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to walking with Jesus. Our journeys are not linear- they will look different. But the truth that Jesus is the image of the invisible God, Emmanuel, God with us remains and is for all of us. As we walk our own journey with Him we experience the fullness of God.Message by Devin Burton, "No Better Time" as part of our "Walking with Jesus" series. Message from November 23, 2025. Centralia Community Church, Centralia, WA. cccog.comWe are all being formed. If we're not intentionally being formed by Jesus himself we are likely being formed by something or someone else unintentionally. Walking with Jesus is allowing Him to transform us through habits and disciplines that shape us into who He created us to be. This journey isn't linear or one-size fits all, but the invitation is to move with Jesus, together in community.

In this powerful message, Living for Jesus – No Middle Ground, we are reminded that there is no safe middle place when it comes to following Christ. Drawing from John 1 and other key scriptures, the sermon confronts the illusion of “neutrality” and shows that we are either with Jesus or against Him. With biblical insight, relatable examples, and a heartfelt call to decision, the message challenges us to move beyond lukewarm faith and embrace full surrender. This isn't just about good works or religious activity—it's about receiving the life and light that come only through Christ. True success isn't measured by possessions, achievements, or reputation, but by having Jesus at the center of our lives. As the message concludes in a time of prayer and altar call, listeners are invited to recommit, rededicate, or make a first-time decision to follow Jesus fully.Be encouraged, be challenged, and above all, be reminded: living for Jesus leaves no middle ground.

John 6:59-60 These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum. Therefore, many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?” Today, we learn that the teaching about the bread of life took place in the synagogue of Capernaum. We also learn that it wasn't just the crowd that balked at His teaching. Many of His disciples had a hard time with the statement Jesus made. I think the difficult statement was in verse 56. “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.” Who can listen to it? Or we might say in the context of eating, “Who can stomach the idea of eating His flesh or drinking His blood?” Something to note about Jesus' love for God and for these people: He wanted His Father to get all the glory. He didn't try to be relevant or present His message in such a way that His listeners could understand what He said from a natural mindset. Rather, He spoke the truth of the gospel with 100% trust in the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts. I'm not suggesting that we shouldn't try to communicate God's word as clearly as we can, but ultimately, only the Holy Spirit can open the heart to understand and effectually believe. Like Jesus, we want to love them by speaking the truth as clearly as we can, but trusting God to do His work of drawing them to Jesus. There are many difficult or puzzling statements made by Jesus that are recorded in the gospels. If we focus on them, we may find ourselves plagued with many doubts. However, we aren't responsible to do something with what we don't understand. We are responsible to respond to what we do understand. Deuteronomy 29:29 attests to this fact. “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law.” The context is different, but the truth is timeless. Let's not stumble or grumble about the things we don't understand or that are difficult statements. Instead, let's be amazed at the truth about Jesus that we do understand, apply it to our lives, and share it with others. The encouragement I draw from these verses is that in living to love with Jesus, there will be times I don't understand what's happening, but I can trust Him, nonetheless. In the following verses, we'll see that is the attitude of some of the disciples. Bottom line is this: Love flows out of trust. May we trust in Jesus no matter what happens in our lives. He is worthy of our trust and worthy of the glory it brings Him when we do so. I invite you to become a partner in our ministry. Would you pray about becoming a regular supporter of Elijah Ministries and the Live to Love with Jesus ministry? I hope you will receive the joy and benefit of "giving it forward," so others may receive encouragement to turn their hearts to God and to live to love with Jesus.

Exhausted by religion? Jesus has a better way! Let's be realwhen someone says Christianity is easy and light, some religious folks lose their minds. Watch out! That's easy believism! they cry. But Jesus actually said it. His yoke is easy. His burden is light. So why do we turn it into hard work? Somewhere along the way, we swapped rest for religious stress. We made it about moral performance instead of Christ Himself inspiring us from within. We mixed new wine with old, crusty rule-keeping. But Jesus calls us to something radically differentgrace, rest, and a life where He does the heavy lifting. So, are we going to believe Him or keep clinging to exhausting religion? This message will challenge everything you thought you knew about walking with Jesus. Watch now and step into the real Christian lifewhere the world may not be easy, but our connection with Him is easy and restful. Discussion Questions for Matthew 23, Mark 2, Luke 10, and John 7: 1. In Matthew 23, Jesus warns about the heavy burdens the Pharisees place on people. How do we sometimes fall into the trap of carrying religious burdens God never intended for us? 2. Why does Jesus expose the hypocrisy of the religious leaders? What does this reveal about God's heart for us to walk freely in His grace? 3. In Mark 2, Jesus speaks of new wine requiring new wineskins. How does this illustrate the radical difference between law and grace? 4. Why do you think mixing the old with the new is so destructive? How does trusting the purity of God's grace free us from religious striving? 5. In Luke 10, Jesus tells Martha that Mary has chosen what is better. What does this teach us about relaxing with Jesus rather than worrying about religious performance? 6. Why do we sometimes feel like we need to do more to please God, and how does Jesus' response to Martha challenge that mindset? 7. In John 7, Jesus invites the thirsty to come and drink, promising rivers of living water. How does this contrast with the exhausting efforts of legalism? 8. What does it mean for the Spirit to flow from within us? How does this reshape the way we walk with Jesuswithout heavy lifting? 105// Trusting Jesus No Matter What: Mark 13:1-8 In today's episode, we're talking about how Jesus told His disciples to stay ready for anything! Life can be unpredictable, with challenges and surprises, just like the wars, disasters, and tricky people Jesus warned about. But no matter what happens, we can always trust God's promises and hold on to the truth in His Word. Find out how you can stay alert and keep your heart focused on Jesus, knowing that He'll always be with you. Key Points for Kids: • Jesus tells us to stay alert: Life can be hard, and not everything we hear is true. But Jesus is the real truth, and He helps us know what to believe. • Things may change, but God doesn't: Even when the world feels confusing or scary, God's promises never change. We can trust Him no matter what! • Stay ready by trusting Jesus: Staying “awake” spiritually means we pray, read God's Word, and keep loving others. Memory Verse: Mark 13:8 - “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.” Do you have a question for Rachael? Maybe you have questions about God, the Bible, or something you heard on the podcast. Go ahead and leave me a message! Do you want to share your faith with your friends but have a hard time figuring out how to do that? Do you want to learn how to connect the Bible to your real life? Well then, this is the show for you.   My name is Rachael, and I am your host. I have been a Children's Pastor for a long time, and one of my favorite things is helping kids learn how to understand the Bible. I think that sometimes people think that the Bible is just for adults, but God actually really wants kids to know about Him. So, on this podcast, we are going to learn all about God's Big Story and how he shows Himself to us through the Bible. As we learn together what the stories in the Bible mean, we can learn how to live out our faith in our everyday lives.
