This week's episode is an update on Neptune. I literally went from not believing in pets, to loving, Neptune Tigerlilly Roi, like I have loved no other. Am I...a middle-aged dad
I've been gone for a while, now I'm back on da same shit I was
Gil Scott-Heron said, "the revolution will not be televised," knowing that true revolution happens in people's minds; is the evolution of our thinking. Very many people, indiscriminate of color or creed, have just recently figured out that the government, and the corporations that own the government, do not give a fuck about us. People who, hitherto, have sided with oppressors, are now being radicalized by the knowledge that they are, in fact, being oppressed and complicit in the oppression and exploitation of others. And I think that's fucking dope, because it presents us with an opportunity to dismantle this bitch.
I decided to chat about the slap, because I felt like respectability politics and the colonial compulsion to erase black women were causing folks to be deliberately obtuse. There is literally legislation being passed to stop hair discrimination that specifically targets black women, and still people think black girl hair is a laughing matter. Black women are not punching bags or punchlines. Folks have been lynched in the name of "protecting" white women and a slap in defense of a black woman got people losing their minds. That slap proved that a lot of folks don't care what is said or done to a black woman and even more need some sense knocked into them. Though I am not a true crime podcaster, I've been known to give them a listen. In fact, the first podcast I ever listened to was "Serial," back in 2016. I became obsessed with Adnan's case, because it was such a clear case of wrongful conviction. Not just because he had no motive or means to kill Hae, but because even if he did it, there was simply not enough evidence to garner a Murder-1 conviction. The prosecutions entire case was Islamophobia and vibes. It's maddening and I truly wonder how those twelve jurors feel about their verdict. I saw a viral tweet wherein these cousins came out as a couple and black twitter started draggin' them
TW // Violence, Death, Self HarmI am 1000% certain, I am what's wrong with my generation and I couldn't be happier about it. One thing about being bombarded by a constant barrage of debt, death, and mass destruction, while surviving wage slavery, is that I have a better understanding of why colonization happened. There were people living in conditions far worse than anything I've experienced in my life, who were at a point where they would do anything, murder anybody to escape the hell they called "life." That hell was living under the rule of european monarchy, in the 15th century. It's 2022, I am living under the rule of european, plutocratic oligarchy, and I get it, and I'm done.Buy Me A Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letmebitchbitchPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/letmebitchbitchWebsite: www.letmebitchbitch.com Twitter: @letmebitchbitch IG: letmetellyousomethinbitch

My experience with cocaine was not at all what I thought it would be, but some how, still very on brand. If I had to rate the high, I'd give it an 8 outta 10 (when ingested after a Sativa pregame). The means of ingestion though...negative zero-no stars-do not recommend. For me, life is packed with stimuli one could become addicted to, so drugs ain't special. I rolled the dice at Party McFly and, thankfully, didn't crap out; I'd call that a win. Although I am NOT in love wit da coco, I am glad we had a meeting in the ladies' room. I was trynna be cute and ended up looking like a plum foo. If I had a time machine, I'd go back to that day and wear flats. Not because of the physical pain/damage to my feet, which wasn't completely unbearable, but because of how deeply it bruised my ego.
This is actually an excerpt from a #marcopolo I sent to my bestie, that I converted from video to an MP3 because I felt like it was minisode worthy. Also, today mah birfday! There were these chimes, and everytime his eyes met mine, I could hear them ring. It felt as though that sound was reverberating through the mulitverse and every version of the two of us, were all connected. Was this guy my soulmate, or was I just getting eye-fucked by a Scorpio king? I may never know. Nevertheless, I believe in love at first sight. When one considers that much of the "generational wealth" that exists, was generated by systemic Black death, exploitation, and oppression; is generational wealth a pro-black goal? Is it a healthy goal? Is it a goal at all? Or is it something we've been programmed to want, so that oppressors can use the power of our spirituality/spirits to keep this system running. We are powerful beings. What we manifest, materializes, and we gots tuh be mo' careful. The 90's were a lituation in many ways, they were also a hot ass mess, but I digress. When I was a girl-many, many moons ago-you couldn't tell me I wasn't the next Monifah (yes, that's a B.A.P.S reference). I wrote songs and performed them for my parents, who were really sweet, cause I was an artist and sensitive about my shit. Little did I know, at the time, some of my lyrics were sexually explicit. Chile...
I recorded the first rendition of "I love the Golden Girls" back in January of 2020. Then, when DMX transitioned, I re-recorded the episode after learning that he too, loved The Golden Girls. All this time, I thought I had released this episode already and realized tonight that I hadn't. So in honor of our last Golden Girl, going to have her cheesecake in the sky with Bea, Estelle, and Rue; here is the DMX version of "I love the Golden Girls."Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/letmebitchbitchWebsite: www.letmebitchbitch.com Twitter: @letmebitchbitch IG: letmetellyousomethinbitch
Happy New Year, y'all. The 2020s have been a doozy thus far, but I'm still holding out hope for 2022. Thank you all for embarking on this podcasting journey with me. As most of us have, I learned a great many lessons from my first love. One being, do not hold on to anything past it's expiration. This episode should be titled, "Why You Being Weird To Me?" or "Roi Sings The Hits." I drop some lines from SZA, Bey, and Jazmin Sullivan (part 2), because R&B lyrics really do be serving the tea. To quote Tink, "even though we're done I wouldn't put you through no pain, but it hurts my heart to know you don't feel the same." It all just made me laugh even harder when he tried to come back.

I've been natural since, the year of our lawd, twenty and zero eight. Three big chops later, I've finally learned what works for my hair. My first big chop was intentional; I gave up the creamy crack for the sake of my edges. My second big chop, though intentional, was a trauma response. I'd gotten broken up with via text, after a six year relationship (y'all uh hear about that next week). However, my third big chop was an accident
In this episode, I define "conspiracy theorist," and discuss aliens, the cosmos, my ancestry, and the assassination of Malcolm X. I may not walk around with an aluminum foil hat on my head, but I do be theorizing and put zero trust in the media, gov'ment, or super rich. Although my theories may be a little "out there," the fact remains, that this is a system built on and sustained by the oppression of indigenous lands and people. Now, if that ain't conspiring, I don't know what is. Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/letmebitchbitchWebsite: www.letmebitchbitch.com Twitter: @letmebitchbitch IG: letmetellyousomethinbitch
A lot of folx informed me that the "I Just Do It - Microsode," was too much heat and pressure for just a microsode. So, I went ahead and recorded a few episodes expounding on the topics I touched on, ever-so briefly, then. In this episode, I discuss how gender identity and sexuality can be easily confused (especially when one hasn't been taught that they both exist on a spectrum) and share my internal journey to realizing I am not bi. Two things I realized whilst editing this episode: 1) the patriarchy teaches us to view women as sexual objects, which may have contributed to my own sexualization of women I admired. 2) My H.S. homie may have set up this secret rendezvous between me and my roommate during brunch; I was running to the bathroom a lot, thanks to those dang mimosas, who knows what they were talkin' bout. Hmmm...
In part 2 of "I Been To College," I concluded the story of the trail that had me ready to wild, discuss other issues I ran into in academia, and encourage the youf dem to still pursue their education; cause Roi love da kids. This colonial empire is a scam within a scam, and college, is one of the biggest scams of them all. I have always loved learning and been pretty good at, if I do say so myself. However, college was a whirlwind, for me, for so long. When things were smooth sailing academically, my personal life would be a cluster fuck of hateration and holleration in the dancery. In part one of this episode, I discuss some triumphs and dip a toe into the story of one trail, that had me ready to wild. Though these episodes are both about unattachment, and rather short, I didn't feel like the audio was related enough to be one episode. TW // Murder, Acid AttacksI practice unattachment to maintain quality mental and spiritual health. Sometimes, I do catch myself backsliding, but for the most part, "I let go and left flow" (that's from the movie, 'Something New') or "relax, relate, release" ('A Different World'). It's really that simple, but simple ain't easy...I highly recommend India Arie's albums 'SongVersation' and 'SongVersation: Medicine' for assistance with healing work.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/letmebitchbitchWebsite: www.letmebitchbitch.comTwitter: @letmebitchbitch IG: letmetellyousomethinbitch ( I don't be posting on Instagram.)

Folks, we're wrapping up spooky month with the scawriest thing I've ever done–I spent two & a half years in a toxic work environment. I worked for a union whose employees had to unionize, because of how abusive management was
Mother-daughter relationships are...hard. They're made even more difficult by the constant competition women a subjected to, as well as, the idea of children as property. The story of how I got my sideshow boobs, is where these two issues converged on my body. My mother and I loved each other very much, but she was not "one of my little friends" and I was not hers.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/letmebitchbitchWebsite: www.letmebitchbitch.com Twitter: @letmebitchbitch IG: letmetellyousomethinbitch
I, for one, am so happy that people from Generation X and even older generations, are hopping on the therapy, healing stones, alt medicine bandwagon. Obviously, many have been on it, however, they're not the ones out here turning folks into cannon fodder. So many older members of our community are still carrying past hurts, disappointments, and traumas; like emotional comets, dragging their baggage behind them and destroying everyone/thing in their path. HEAL! It's not easy, it's not free–hell, most of the time–it's not even fun, but it's worth it; you're worth it.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/letmebitchbitchWebsite: www.letmebitchbitch.com Twitter: @letmebitchbitch IG: letmetellyousomethinbitch
C-i-t-y, you can see why... This episode is about growing up in N.Y.C. Staying in the vein of spooky season doe, it's also about gentrification–which is some scary shit. I also touch on being ready to throw the hands when it came to my man, back in the day, cause Queens queenz don't play
Keeping up with spooky season, I decided to talk about some real scaurry shit–generational trauma. There are so many things we believe are too benign to be considered generational trauma, that are taking folks out. Religion, social taboos, delusion...can all be generational traumas/curses. And, how can we heal what we don't see as "that big'ah deal?"Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/letmebitchbitchWebsite: www.letmebitchbitch.com Twitter: @letmebitchbitch IG: letmetellyousomethinbitch
I figured I'd set off Spooky Season with a scary story... One hot, summer night, in 2002, I almost fire and brimstoned my whole family. So I'm trying something new and dropping microsodes during the weekday. Less than two minute ramblings that maybe didn't fit into a specific episode or came to me all after the fact. This is a quicky on -isms. Isms are just an excuse to be harmful, and when there are no women, negroes, or queer folx to abuse; harmful people will direct their negativity at whoever is around. So be cautious and maybe require a higher standard for those you invite into your life. Hope y'all enjoy. Peace!Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/letmebitchbitchWebsite: www.letmebitchbitch.com Twitter: @letmebitchbitch IG: letmetellyousomethinbitch
This episode is about the end of my sketch comedy group. It's also the story of how I let an unhealed, raggedy heffa bring me out my character—NEVER AGAIN. I learned from this experience, that responding to disrespect with humility and grace, is the easiest way to determine if it is deliberate. When you give grace to someone who is being deliberately ungracious to you, they will continue to raise the stakes, in order to move you to anger. On the other hand, nothing mitigates accidental disrespect faster, than staying cool and being respectful.P.S. Yeah, I'm lowkey a raptress.
This episode was recorded shortly after DMX was hospitalized, but before his actual passing. Rest In Power, Dark Man X. Chile...the cishet men finna drag me after dis, but what can I say? Saturn is my chart ruler, so when it comes to marriage, I don't play. Folks gone do what they want, this I know; but my standards and values are set up in a way, wherein, I can't fuck nobody's husband, but mine. That being said, had this man not been married, would I have not hesitated to deplete him of all his fluids? Undoubtedly. Was his being married the only thing stopping me from bustin' it WIDE open? Duh...he was fine AF. I am a New Yorker, and on this day, the twentieth anniversary of the destruction of The Twin Towers, I figured I'd speak on "good and bad." I relinquished ideas of "good and bad" many moons ago; for a more sustainable and tangible moral code. For me, things are either charming or tedious; they either uplift or degrade life; they're either tiring or inspiring and that's it. As a member of the living, I have a vested interest in life and anything that compromises said interest, has got to go. TW// black death, anti-blackness, violence. This episode is about why and when I had to stop watching "This Is Us" and many, many, many other shows. Mental illness/breakdown being a stigma in a community bombarded by systemic brutality, is in itself, an act of antiblack violence. How can one be well in a system sustained by their torture and death, by their erasure? Dis whole thang upsettin' me and my ancestors...Being honest about our hardships, about being unwell in spaces that were not created to help us thrive is an act of self-love. For all of the loved ones who came before us, that could not speak of what they'd endured, we must be vocal and break oppressive cycles. SPEAK
I see weird shit...in my dreams. This week's episode is about my crazy dreams that are part ancestral message, part astral travel, and all strange. I once dreamt I was being chased by a hoard of rats, and fell, and they started climbing up my leg. I could feel the weight of the first rat on my actual leg and woke up quick, fast, and in a hurry. In this episode, I talk about the power of "I am," especially in combination with gratitude. Roi is a very numerology, astrology bitch, so y'all gone get deez manifestation tools. I also speak, briefly, on my experience with sound healing. Jesus, sound heal my audio, please.
As promised, the second half of last week's episode is here. I mentioned before that I had A LOT to say about the janky folx I've lived with, and this two part saga stands as listening proof. Sidenote: we ain't never uber pooling again, y'all. After this thing, you either have 'x' money or you stay your ass home. Speaking of home, mine hadn't been "where the heart is," for many, many L.A. years. It was, however, where the drama reside. This is the episode about my pseudonym: Roi i.e. Renouncing Our Isms.Isms are divisive beliefs used by oppressors to marginalize and exploit the masses. Exploited folks, on the other hand, typically use Isms to gain access to institutions built on and sustained by their oppression and exploitation—leveraging existing Isms against one another, and even, creating new ones, to scale the "respectability latter." We have been programmed to identify with Isms as a firewall against evolution and subsequently, freedom. In other words, when the exploited/excluded are working to be included within oppressive regimes, they are not working to dismantle them.
