Venus moves into Virgo at the beginning of August, following its conjunction with Ketu in Leo, the South Node and ‘remover of obstacles'. Yet Ketu can also remove things we would prefer to hold onto. In the end, whether of this life or a chapter within it, we must let it all go if we are to evolve. The Ketu part shows where we might hold on, or revert back to something familiar, while Rahu, the North Node, points us forward to where we must try something new.  As we have seen in recent weeks, wars have ramped up, reflected in Venus' conjunction with Ketu. Venus' ingress into Virgo, a sign it's fallen in, does not bode well for peace in the more immediate timeframe. The mood is likely to dip, and things you would usually appreciate may lessen in your eyes somewhat. Venus does not have the support of Mercury in Virgo, which, following its retrograde in July, slowly returns to Cancer in August, where Jupiter remains exalted.Venus is opposite Saturn and squared by Mars while in Virgo. With Venus under such scrutiny, it would be far too easy to complain about whatever Venus represents for you. Generally, we're all likely to complain about the lack of accord and goodwill in the world.The concerns are also likely economic, as well as diplomatic. Diplomatic failure may trigger economic issues, of course.Jupiter offers hope that all may yet be well, despite the challenges ahead. However, Jupiter is combust in August as the Sun moves through Cancer, making it difficult to see the results we are hoping for. This is where faith becomes important. We must have faith in the process, even when progress is not immediately visible.An uprising or revolutionary movement may struggle to gain traction or make a meaningful impact on entrenched systems, as Jupiter continues to oppose Pluto in Capricorn. Positive changes (Jupiter in Cancer) you know you must make may not be as easy to implement when there's so much else to adjust to.The biggest adjustment we must make is the eclipses in Cancer and Aquarius. Time can feel warped and events more fated. The positive vibes will return in September, so use August to be open to the change that must happen.Jupiter continues to aspect Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, so this can bring more of a sense of what's the right thing to do, despite Saturn's and Neptune's retrograde in the depths of possibility, asking us all to keep an open mind about eventual outcomes.Whatever form the astrological weather takes for you in August, hold firm to whatever gives you a sense of meaning, while remaining realistic about the issues that must be addressed.

The Moon reaches its brightest in sidereal Capricorn on July 29 at 15.35 BST/ 10.35 EDT, conjunct Pluto and opposite an exalted but combust Jupiter in Cancer. This Full Moon may bring resolution and mark a significant turning point.It occurs in Śravaṇa, the lunar mansion associated with listening and tradition. This is a time to tune in and hear what matters, as Saturn, Capricorn's ruler, begins to backtrack. Ruled by Viṣṇu, Śravaṇa seeks balance and harmony, although this must sometimes be restored through major events that require more adjustments.Globally, tensions may emerge between the profound changes underway and how leaders respond. Important steps are likely to be taken, which will affect the world in various ways. This Full Moon also coincides with Guru Pūrṇimā, a Vedic festival honouring teachers and commemorating the birth of Sage Veda Vyāsa. This year's observance is especially significant, as Jupiter (Guru) is exalted directly opposite the Full Moon.It is a powerful time to reconnect with teachers and teachings that clarify what is right and true, inspiring us to act for the good of all. Emotions may run high as we dig beneath the surface and listen for the deeper truth.

Beloved, this is our last installment of Empathica's Journey through the Emotional Circuits.When was the last time you laughed—really laughed?I'm a night owl, and I spend time in a few communities on X. Late at night, we shake off the day's stress, step out of conversing about current day issues and economics and joke around, and laugh until it hurts.Maybe you have a few people in your life who can pull real laughter out of you. Or a show you go back to when you need a deep, belly laugh.Every time I laugh so hard that I can barely breathe, I'm reminded of how rarely I laugh at all.Capricorn's take life too damn serious. Guilty!So…..When was the last time you did something purely for the joy of it—without a productive purpose, without justification, without that voice in your head whispering…Who do you think you are?There was a part of you that was born knowing how to play.A child who danced without choreography. Who imagined entire worlds before breakfast. Who expressed joy as naturally as breathing.And somewhere along the way — through criticism, through responsibilities that came too soon, through a world that valued output over aliveness — that part of you was told to sit down and be serious.Your play circuit — the neurological system responsible for joy, creativity, bonding, and spontaneity — didn't die.It went into hiding. It's still there, beneath the productivity guilt and the fear of being seen as foolish.Still waiting.And if you've been wondering why rest doesn't actually restore you, why weekends feel like another obligation, why joy feels like something other people get to have — this is why.Let me explain how this works.The play circuit lives in the interplay between your limbic system (emotion) and prefrontal cortex (thinking).When activated, it releases endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine — the neurochemistry of happiness, creativity, and social bonding.In children, this system develops trust, resilience, and flexibility.In adults, it sustains innovation, intimacy, and mental health.It is not a luxury. It is a biological necessity.But when trauma enters childhood — when joy was interrupted, when lightness was punished, when the environment required seriousness for survival — the play circuit shuts down.The brain learns: Happiness is dangerous. Being seen in my joy makes me a target. I must earn the right to feel good.And unconscious vows form: I must always be productive. It's not safe to express my joy. My creativity is not valuable.These vows don't just steal your fun. They steal your flexibility. They rigidify your thinking. They make rest feel like laziness and joy feel like irresponsibility.They slowly drain the color from a life that was meant to be vivid.Here's what happens neurologically when the play circuit is suppressed chronically:Your dopamine pathways become reward-deficient. You stop being able to feel satisfaction from small pleasures because your brain has been trained that only achievement counts.Your serotonin regulation falters. You feel low-grade depression that no amount of accomplishment can fix because accomplishment was never the source of well-being — simple presence was.Your endorphins stay dormant. You lose access to natural pain relief, stress resilience, and the physical lightness that comes from unstructured movement and laughter.Research on play deprivation in adults shows clear correlations with increased rigidity, depression, and reduced problem-solving capacity.Your joy is not frivolous, love. It is the foundation of a flexible, creative, connected life.Without it, you are running on fumes — efficient, maybe, but not alive.Here's what I want you to understand: You don't heal your way into joy. Joy is the healing.It's not the reward for finishing your inner work. July 19 - 25: FIND A WAYAs the pace begins to steady, this week's astrology invites us to lift our eyes from the trail beneath our feet and look toward the horizon. Recent months have demanded constant adjustments, but the sky now offers a wider perspective. Mercury is preparing to resume direct motion, Jupiter shines brightly from Cancer, and the deeper currents represented by the outer planets become easier to recognize. Rather than focusing only on the next task, this is a week for noticing the long arc of your journey and the quiet forces that have been shaping it all along.By request, let's check in on the outer outer planets, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto who are all placed at 10 degrees of the signs they occupy. These outer transpersonal planets tend to push and indicate generational trends, spiritual awakenings, and evolutionary shifts. Neptune draws us collectively into spirituality, mysticism, and universal love, with the flip side also offering confusion, escapism, and deception into the realm of possibility. Currently retrograde and in Uttarabhadra/Pisces, Neptune is bringing our consciousness into the depths of cultural, religious, and even subconscious foundations. Uranus triggers awakenings, revolutions, insight, and innovation. Disruption of the status quo, personal liberation, and tech advancement can be results when Uranus is in effect. Currently direct and at 10 degrees Taurus, a fixed earth sign ruled by Venus, Uranus could be acting like a plow in fertile fields, digging in, pushing around, and revealing fertility in environments that feel stable but are bordering on stuck.Pluto governs transformation, the cycle of creation and destruction, and the hidden, deep elements of life and death. Retrograde Pluto sits at 10 degrees of Capricorn, about a third of the way through its nearly 20 year transit through Saturn's earth sign, indicating deep changes in foundations, restructuring of governmental and business entities,  and revelations about karmic responsibilities on a large scale. This week, exalted Jupiter at 10 degrees Cancer will directly aspect both Neptune and Pluto, which could feel like a warm, guiding hand that pushes toward making mystical leaps and transformational discoveries needed to stay on path and growing. Saturn sitting with Neptune assists us in recognizing what needs to be released or recycled. Mars sitting with Uranus could bring a turbulent jolt that advances us through what has felt comfortable but stagnant. The Sun approaching Jupiter this week deepens the state of combustion, fusing the positive wisdom of Jupiter with the powerful light of the Sun. The waxing Moon gets alone time this week, moving through Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio, inviting careful activity at the beginning of the week, social connection in the middle, and deep introspection as the week winds up. Retrograde Mercury stabilizes and resumes direct motion at 23 degrees Gemini on Thursday, July 23rd. The Long Cycles Become VisibleSomething unusual is happening in the sky this month.Not just the weekly transits. Something larger. A convergence of long cycles that rarely become visible all at once — briefly illuminated in ways that allow us to feel their presence and direction. This week I am taking more time than usual to orient you in that larger field before walking the specific transits.The Three Long CyclesIn astrology, when two outer planets meet in conjunction, they seed a cycle that unfolds over generations. Three of these great cycles were seeded in the last 130 years. This month all three are being activated simultaneously.Neptune conjunct Pluto in Gemini, late 1890s. Gemini governs mind, language, communication, and how reality is constructed and shared. This conjunction seeded a revolution in all of those domains — mass media, the discovery of the unconscious, technologies that transformed how human beings perceive and communicate. The AI emergence, the fracturing of shared reality, the speed at which language and information now move — this is that Gemini cycle in its current expression.Uranus conjunct Pluto in Virgo, mid-1960s. Virgo governs the body, healing, and the relationship between the individual and the systems they inhabit. This conjunction seeded a revolution in identity and power — civil rights, feminism, the environmental movement, the questioning of who gets to belong and on whose terms. The wounds of who has been excluded, whose body deemed less valuable, whose labor extracted — this cycle is still metabolizing in the collective body.Uranus conjunct Neptune in Capricorn, early 1990s. Capricorn governs structure, authority, and the institutions that organize collective life. This conjunction seeded the dissolution of old structures of collective meaning — the fall of the Soviet Union, globalization, the beginning of the internet age, the slow unraveling of institutional frameworks that once held collective life together. Those structures have never been fully replaced. What is breaking down in collective systems right now is this Capricorn cycle in its current expression.This month, through flowing trines and sextiles, all three cycles are being activated simultaneously. Hola New Paradigmers!My heart goes out to all those in pain,I wish I could make it all better,In this high-tech world that can be distant and cold,It's important that we all stick together.☉These are tricky times full of a lot of uncertainty and transformation.  They are particularly tricky as the "trans-neptunian planets" (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) are involved in the "eye" that I speak of in today's report. Uranus is the personal unconscious, Neptune is the collective unconscious and Pluto is the unconscious soul.  And they're all in direct, absolute alignment!  Some would say they're ganging up on us forcing an ego awakening to the workings of unconscious spiritual forces. Ha, I would be one of those "some!" So, the thing about our unconscious is that it is hard to own and easy to project.  When describing unconscious forces at work in the chart, clients will often say "Oh no, that's not me, that's Charlie, Sam or Sally!"  Let me give you an example.  The 210 degree (Scorpio flavor) quincunx has to do not only with control "giving to get."  In the words of my now passed friend "Buz" Myers, when Venus is in an 8th house inconjunct, "it means you are giving of yourself sexually because you are receiving something back.  You are not giving because it's enjoyment or pleasure.  You're not giving because it's spiritual.  You're giving because it's manipulative and there is something in return that you need back.  You need back whatever the sign is.  So if it is Taurus, you need money or security.  If it's Capricorn, you need prestige, and you are willing to submit to get the prestige that you want.  If it's in Libra (or the 7th house) you need to keep harmony/balance so there are no fights and arguments, but you are still doing for a reason: to get something back." For this week's leg of the yod with Venus/Pluto she's in Virgo: you may be giving to get work, you may be giving because you feel guilty ("perfect people serve and give") or inadequate if you don't, the list can go on according to the house where Virgo falls in your chart.  Anyway, that is just one leg of yod going on this week and sex is only one element within the complex archetype of Venus, I just thought I would give you something to think about.  There's just too much going on to explain it all in a Pele report newsletter, sorry! But to close on a happy note, ALL these astrological aspects are simply indicators like the hands on a clock, that's its time folks.  It's time to wake up to our own unconscious, it's time to wake up to the deception that has been perpetrated upon the masses for centuries by those in power, and it's time to wake up to the supernatural forces behind all phenomena that we experience through these physical bodies on this physical planet earth.  It CAN be a rude awakening and/or a joyous awakening but the end result will be the same:  We are far more powerful and able to create reality(s) than we thought.  Enjoy the process! Get Together by the Youngbloods!  https://youtu.be/34YUI3CmckA?si=1BYSYwM3YFM6UEBaSo Much Love,Kaypacha

My Dear ListenersThe Message of the Capricorn Full Moon in ReflectionIt has taken me a week to get this episode uploaded.  I had recorded it a day or so before the exact full moon, June 29th.  But,  I was plagued with tech issues.  But, in typical Capricornian fashion, I've  been determined to get it posted.  Why, might you ask?The Capricorn/Cancer combo is described through a type of relentlessness, and a step by step process that characterizes the "cardinal" energy of these two signs.  This means that if you have a substantial amount of Capricorn and Cancer in your chart, there is a need to plan, create and build according to your desires and intentions.  Interestingly enough, I don't have any earth elements by sign, but I have  a meaningful sign placement in the 10th house, which is associated with Capricorn.Since  we've landed on the opposite side from Sun in Cancer, right into Capricorn, we intuitively feel and perceive something is starting to happen with our projects or ideas. Ah yes, in earthy Capricorn we can now start to make plans, set goals and bring structure to what we want.  What the lunar phases offer us are life rhythms for accomplishing our desires. The cardinal mode in the sign of Capricorn embodies energy for beginning, taking action, and getting things launched  through concrete steps.  By the way, Cancer opposite Capricorn( when viewed as a unit can be complements to each other) is the cardinal mode, emotional, feeling and visioning/dreaming action part of this duo. So how does Capricorn under the rulership of the planet Saturn connect us to this life rhythm movement.  When the Moon is in Capricorn, we each receive an intuitive signal that energy for beginning, planning and taking action is much easier to use during this time frame. When this door, portal, or window of opportunity opens,  it's  time to pay attention and take realistic steps toward manifesting your wishes, dreams and desires.  Capricorn Moons give us a key for planning and getting things done.  Under the  upcoming New Moon in Cancer, July 14th,  the new seeds can be planted.It's important to have patience with your goal, project or idea,  as you build your step by step stairway to the stars,  through balancing inner harmony with solid planning.  Oh, yes, Capricorn plans sometimes have to and need to change directions, so don't be surprised. Some preliminary data from the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument, also known as DESI has resulted in a swath of popular science articles claiming dark energy is diminishing.  Well… It's worth starting by saying that many of the core project team have stressed it's just the first data release – there'll be at least four more, so everyone should probably just chill a bit until more data is available.   Dear Cheap Astronomy – Why do eclipse paths run in different directions? Yes folks, it's that rare event when we actually answer an astronomy question. So, solar eclipses. As you know, the Earth's rotation makes the Sun appear to cross the Earth's daytime sky following a line we call the ecliptic. And yep, that's no coincidence, but we'll get to that. The ecliptic is not a fixed path because of the Earth's tilted axis of rotation.
