Diana says, “I think overall the role of a nurse practitioner can be summarized as a leader in improving patient outcomes, providing evidence-based care, and allying with the interdisciplinary team to improve quality of care.” The nurse practitioner role is dynamic. It is a newer role, so it is still in its formative years, and current nurse practitioners, like Diana, are taking a leading role in forming the profession.Diana also talks about strokes. Diana's episode is really interesting and important because she talks about the aspects of strokes that she thinks aren't talked about enough. She mentions that, “we only have one brain.
