    Digital content is a part of our everyday life. Media and marketing is in almost everything we interact with, especially on social platforms. Almost each piece of shared content is a remake, recycled, or originated somewhere else (meme). Games also fall victim to this dilemma. Companies such as Nintendo and Activision re-introduce their own concepts with a new shiny label makes their content outdated compared to other smaller companies looking to break ground with hot or “new” concepts. We discuss our diverse opinions.

    Negative reviews impact more than how a game sells. It impacts how other people perceive a product or service. As a social norm, consumers believe in reviews made by real people as a good judgment of a product or service which then influence buying habits. These reviews can also create a bandwagon effect, which can hurt a product or service’s credibility. The more people voice something is bad, the more people believe it is true.

In this episode, we discuss the games which aided in developing our cognitive and emotional skills. This is currently a controversial topic in the mental health field. Some see the benefit in technological apps like breathing apps etc but are still coming to understand how games like smash brothers, first-person shooters, etc are therapeutic. The easy answer is that video games are rich in storytelling and metaphors which is how we help kids heal.
