Warner Brothers - Discovery Merger: Good news for DC Comics? Join us as we discuss the nerd news of the week! We discuss the Warner Bros and Discovery merger, how the acquisition of Warner Brothers will affect DC Comics, a chicken nugget that might be worth more than you, and some video game face offs! In this episode: ● Warner brothers was sold to discovery for a few hundred dollars ● The new Warner Bros logo looks like it was made in 3 minutes. It does not look good at all. We think they might change it soon into something very memorable. ● Shazam 2's suit no longer has a cape and the suit itself is not as padded as it used to be. It will be interesting to find out how they will explain the time jump because the children are not as young as they used to be. ● Since Black Adam and Shazam are being filmed at the same time and location, we think there might be a short crossover cameo at the end of the movie. ● DC's future looks very optimistic. ● The Mcdonald's BTS crossover is a complete rip off. You don't get anything special, except for BTS branded packaging and you have to pay more! ● Resident Evil 8 Village is top notch, we recommend you buy it! ● Peacemaker 2021 is in production and they've already had a casting change. The actor who was supposed to be the villain of the show left because of creative differences. ● Saints Row is more about the gameplay than the storyline. ● It might not be worth buying a PS5 because everything can run fine on your laptop. ● Spiral movie is more of a survival horror film than a particularly scary one. There's nothing Aquaman can do to vision. Batman Vs. Black Panther: Team Wakanda has so many mutants that will defend it. Batman over relies on gadgets. But, Batman always has a contingency plan, he knows about alternate universes and has something for everybody. It would be a long drawn out battle Batman would have a plan to beat everyone in the DC universe. T'challa is more of a strategist than Batman Batman makes the choice to protect Gotham, T'challa was born into his power position. New Jack's career is not PG enough to be shown on TV. If anybody would've been ECW's poster child, it would have been New Jack - he really solidified the extreme style. The Venom trailer gives away too much. They shouldn't have shown us Carnage. The purge films are films that make you think, because they have a degree of realisticness. Watching them you end up thinking “this could really happen”. If we had a purge day every year in real life, crime would only go down at first. The logic of purge movies is confusing. Why do families take road trips near where the purge is going to be? It doesn't make sense. Netflix getting Sailor Moon made shows their expansion into anime. CW's powerpuff girls is counter content sparked by Netflix's expansion into Anime. The ‘Wakanda Forever' title feels like it is pandering to the death of Chadwick Boseman. The title ‘The Marvels' implies they might be trying to get rid of Captain Marvel. Which is not okay because it seems like they are shoving the movie under the rug too quickly. There's nothing about Jupiter's Legacy's trailer that looks too enticing. If you are going to retell he-man it would be great to go in the direction of Skeletor. He started creating videos when he made a review of Batman v Superman - Justice Con 2020 is a two-day virtual convention held by the fans and for the fans to celebrate Zack Snyder's Justice League finally getting into green light after two and a half years of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut fan movement. - The convention was hosted by The Nerd Queens and ComicBook Debate's own Megan Danielle. It also featured an impressive collection of panelists, including Cyborg actor, Ray Fisher, producer Deborah Snyder, and the man behind the Snyder cut himself, Zack Snyder. - Outside of the cast and crew from Justice League, Justice Con also invited Sheraz Farooqi, Sean O'Connell, Jonita Davis, and Chris Wong as panelists about the diversity in Zack Snyder's films and fandom. - The long-awaited release of the Snyder Cut is to set to drop on HBO Max in 2021 and this final cut of the film will represent a much more diverse movie than its original incarnation, Justice League. It will reveal a much more diverse cast than was seen in the version Whedon finalized in 2017. Snyder is the only credited director on the Justice League 2017 superhero film, but he left during post-production to grieve for a family tragedy, leading to “Avengers” director Joss Whedon stepping in and finishing the material which was radically different from Snyder's initial vision. - The Marvel blueprint wasn't Zack Snyder's idea. He always tried to create an enclosed thing. His original plan for his Justice League movies involved a five movie arc and story. His plan was to follow the story of Superman. Snyder didn't want Justice League released as soon as it was his plan to follow the story of Superman. But Warner Bros execs wanted to get the Justice League team out there as soon as possible. He was rushed into that by Warner Bros and their ploy to catch up with Marvel's Shared Universe. - In Justice Con Panel, Snyder referred to Justice League version that's coming to HBO Max as an “Elseworld” Justice League. It means it doesn't have to be part of the DCEU thread anymore. In DC Comics, the Elseworld label was created in DC Comics to tell stories that used iconic DC Characters but didn't have to follow existing canon. Snyder is free to shape his story into whatever fits what he wants to tell now. - The Suicide Squad 2 is happening with a largely new cast and Guardians of the Galaxy's James Gunn taking over David Ayer as director, The Suicide Squad is one of the most anticipated movies of 2021. - Chris Wong's excited and looking forward to the releases of Snyder's Cut, Suicide Squad, Black Adam (although they haven't started with production) but he is curious about the whole cast of the movie, Superman with Black Adam vs Superman fight, Batman with Robert Pattinson, The Flash, and two secret movie projects that have not yet been announced to the public. - The endless possibilities of Justice League Dark meeting the Justice League is very exciting. JJ Abram's Justice League Dark is entering the DC Universe and produces a new DC Superhero television series that can be streamed exclusively on HBO Max. - With all this different multiverse and stuff, imagine down the line, they do an actual big budget crisis event. When you talk multiverse, what's the next step of multiverse at the end? It's Crisis. It's the Avengers' Endgame. It will put Endgame out of the water.
