Cal & Liam wrap up another Superman themed month with an Elseworld's tale. This month's trip around the multiverse finds the Good Brothers reviewing an episode of the oft-forgotten 2006 animated series Legion of Superheroes, which co-starred the Man of Steel for each episode. Together, our hosts review the third overall episode of the series titled "Legacy." With an episode that debuts a mysterious redhead with the initials "LL" that vies for Superman's attention, causing the Legion to be left in a lurch without his help, the hosts discuss how this felt like an intro to a character with bigger plans for the series. They also discuss the unique look to the series and some of the cameos including a certain "Bastich" and even a DCAU homage. Also discussed is of course the music supplied by the Dynamic Music Partners as well as the voice cast which features a DC animation voice acting legend and a voice more well-known for being a web-slinger than the Man of Tomorrow. The Good Brothers are back with a new episode of the pod, but are taking a second look at one of the best episodes of Superman The Animated Series with a re-review of "The Late Mr. Kent." The hosts give a full plot synopsis and discuss the insanity of what they were able to get past the censors, the noir style narration from Clark being the episode's defining trait and the delicate balance of speaking on the real areas of concern around capital punishment and the justice system without talking down to an audience. The Good Brothers are joined this week by returning guest and Batman The Adventures Continue artist Jordan Gibson to look at The New Batman Adventures episode "Never Fear." The hosts discuss the ins and outs of the episode including Tim Drake's reaction being a direct result of his upbringing, Batman being sloppy when he's robbed of fear and why the inversion of the Scarecrow character from writer Stan Berkowitz stands out as a hallmark of an underrated DCAU contributor. Jordan also talks about recently coming into possession of the original "Never Fear" storyboards, TMS's work on the episode being the most anime style Batman that there will ever be, theories on the new Scarecrow look and overall design and why this episode was a big influence on Jordan when doing the art for BTAC. The Good Brothers are back once again with one of the final new Static Shock reviews left on the schedule with a season four episode titled "Wet and Wild" which features the return of Aqua Maria and Hot Streak, working together as a couple and the interesting introduction to the possible Bang Baby syndrome that gave them and Static and Gear their powers.
