Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna joins me on today's show. As an Air Force veteran, Rep. Luna made sure to attend Pete Hegseth's Senate confirmation hearing and has her own thoughts about combat scenarios that she unpacks on today's show. 206 Democrats, the same ones that consider themselves defenders of women's rights voted NAY on the passing of the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. Rep. Luna has received an incredibly disturbing whistleblower account from a Marine MARSOC raider that is absolutely daming to the Biden state department. She shares with us what she was told and her eagerness for Rubio and Harmeet Dhillon to take office so justice can be served. This weekend is the All American Inaugural Ball 2025. Longtime producer of the event Michael Harrigan gives us insight into the storied Washington D.C. celebration. It is also a time to honor our veterans and Deborah Snyder from Operation Renewed Hope Foundation will be there to pay tribute to our veterans. Deborah's organization is vital in helping veterans that are at risk or currently homeless and she shares the great work she is doing. One last thing I forgot to mention, I am hosting the ball this year and looking forward to celebrating President trump back in the White House. Featuring: Rep. Krista takes a deep dive into the career of filmmaker Zack Snyder and shares how that journey led to his latest undertaking, Rebel Moon - Part 2: The Scargiver. This second film in the Rebel Moon franchise continues to expand the sci-fi universe that was introduced to audiences with Rebel Moon - Part 1: A Child of Fire. The pair talk about Snyder's life-long love of photography, examine the films that inspired him growing up, and discuss his experience attending ArtCenter College of Design, in Pasadena, California (where the idea behind Rebel Moon first started to form). Snyder also digs into the unique logistical challenges that Rebel Moon - Part 1 and Rebel Moon - Part 2 presented, explains what it was like to direct Sofia Boutella through the films' epic action sequences, and shares what he loves about collaborating with his wife (and Rebel Moon's producer) Deborah Snyder. Deborah Snyder has produced some of the biggest blockbusters and action franchises in the last decade including Wonder Woman, 300 and Watchmen. Her newest work, Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver arrives on Netflix this week. It's the second instalment of the Rebel Moon series, a space opera set in a fictional galaxy with a female protagonist. Deborah produced it alongside her husband and long-term creative collaborator, director Zack Snyder. She joins Jessica Creighton live in the studio.Today is the deadline to register to vote in the local elections on May 2nd. The most recent data suggest that 4.3 million young people in England aren't currently registered. Jessica speaks to Sharon Gaffka, who's supporting the Give an X campaign, calling on young people to get involved. A survey by the youth led charity My Life My Say also says that fewer than 1 in 6 of young women trust politicians and more than four in 10 believe their vote won't make a difference in an election. Professor of Politics and Director of the Global Institute for Women's Leadership at King's College London will join Jessica to explain the trends behind the latest data. In 1927 journalist Sophie Treadwell attended the sensational trial of Ruth Snyder, a New York woman accused murdering her husband. Ruth was found guilty, along with her accomplice lover Henry Judd Gray, and both were executed by electric chair in January 1928. Those events inspired Sophie Treadwell to write the play Machinal, which premiered on Broadway later that year. A recent production has just transferred from the Theatre Royal Bath to the Old Vic in London and its star, Rosie Sheehy, along with US academic Dr Jessie Ramey join Jessica to discuss the case of Ruth Snyder and why Machinal still resonates with audiences today.

Zack Snyder's Justice League This time, we're taking a special look at Zach Snyder's Justice League and along the way we ask, could Ben Affleck have been the best onscreen Batman, exactly how much of the film is in slow motion and is there a future for the DC Extended Universe? Let's dive in… Cast & Crew Directed by Zack Snyder: After previously directed Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Snyder took on the humongous task of putting his touch on the DC Extended Universe by directing Justice League. However, during production, Snyder's daughter, Autumn, committed suicide and Snyder along with his wife and producer, Deborah, left the film and Joss Whedon was hired to take over the director duties. Whedon would ultimately wind up rewriting the majority of the film and reshooting close to 80% of the material Snyder had previously shot for the film.  The cast from the Whedon Cut of Justice League remained unchanged but here's a quick rundown: Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth J.K. Simmons as Commission Jim Gordon Joe Morton as Dr. Silas Stone There are also some newer additions in keeping with the continuity of the previous films: Willem Dafoe as Vulko Jared Leto as The Joker Harry Lennix as Calvin Swanwick/The Martian Manhunter Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor Joe Mangianello as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke These two actors had previously appeared in the original Justice League but their scene was completely reworked for the new edition Aftermath of the Justice League Following the release of Justice League in 2017; the film became a massive critical and commercial flop due to Whedon's rewrites, reshoots and bloated budget of nearly 300 million. Estimates vary on the budget but Warner Brothers had projected that the film had to make over $675 million for the film to become profitable. However, due in part to the critical reception and the lack of major marketing (40% on Rotten Tomatoes and 45% on Metacritic), Justice League only managed to gross $658 million and ultimately cost Warner Brothers $60 million. Due to Justice League flopping, it put the future of the DC Extended Universe in jeopardy even with the success of films like Wonder Woman, Shazam, Aquaman and Joker bolstering the concept of the shared universe of DC heroes. Even actors in the film expressed disappointment such as Ciaran Hinds who publicly decried his character's depiction in the film noting it was drastically different from what was originally imagined. Other actors like Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa also expressed their disappointment in Whedon's decisions in his new cut. Almost immediately following the bomb of Justice League, a fan movement was born on social media and could summed up with a simple hashtag, #ReleasetheSnyderCut and took off from there. It can't be stated enough just how the original Justice League threw off the trajectory of the entire series with directors Patty Jenkins and James Wan basing their films off of what Zack Snyder was working on with his cut of the film. Deborah Snyder, who was one of the main driving forces for the films, left the project along with her husband, ultimately crippling the series. Following the growing fan movement and building for over two and a half years, Warner Brothers announced in May 2020 that Zack Snyder would return to release his original vision for the film. He was given $70 million in additional funds to reshoot scenes with the original cast returning, update the visual effects and finish the film score from Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL.  Major Changes from Joss to Zack After viewing the film in its four hour entirety,

To quote Cyborg: "I heard about you. Didn't think you were real." After years of speculation, hashtags, and a global pandemic, director Zack Snyder has released his version of the film he began working on back in 2015.  Does the vision of original director Zack Snyder turn the much maligned Justice League movie into a masterpiece? Does the final result justify the existence of the #releasetheSnyderCut movement? Why did Joss Whedon and Warner Brothers make the decisions they made 4 years ago? To avoid SPOILERS for "Zack Snyder's Justice League", skip over 43:18- 1:10:03 of the episode. In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman's (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad, and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.Written by: Chris Terrio, Zack Snyder, and Will BeallDirected by: Zack Snyder The Movie Podcast is one of Canada's top film and review podcasts. In this episode, Joe interviews Director of ecological think tank The Institute of Ecotechnics, and publisher and CEO of Synergetic Press, Deborah Snyder. Snyder talks about her past- meeting people from the Institute of Ecotechnics at a conference about the solar system, time working with Richard Evans Schultes, participating in a traveling theatre company, and the early days of the Heraclitus (a research ship built for a 2-year expedition through the Amazon, which is now being rebuilt to soon visit and chronicle remote coastal cultures). She also discusses Biosphere 2, ecotechnics (the discipline of relating the technosphere to the biosphere), regenerative agriculture, and the idea of natural capital- assigning economic (or other) value to an ecosystem as a way of both identifying keys to ecological longevity and increasing corporate or governmetal interest in the environment.  She talks about books she's published or work she's been inspired by from a veritable who's-who of names listeners of this podcast should be familiar with: Dennis McKenna, Wade Davis, William S. Burroughs, Mark Plotkin, Ralph Metzner, John Perry Barlow, and Claudio Naranjo. And she's very excited about a 2-day symposium Synergetic Press will be putting on in May to commemorate the launch of Volume 1 of Sasha Shulgin's course curriculum on the nature of drugs.  Notable Quotes “I’m from Illinois. I’m from the rural midwest. All my family are farmers. There is a gulf of understanding about plant medicines and the potential of these medicines in places where people are really desperate for these kinds of tools to help with youth health and mental well-being- good well-being. Chris Wong joins the show to discuss his experience as a panelist at Justice Con. He talks about a wide variety of topics related to Zack Snyder's Justice League and latest inside rumors and info that is happening now and in the future on this Road to DC Fandome. Join this fun and informative conversation. - Chris Wong-Swenson's Ping Pong Flix Show is a YouTube Journalist discussing up to date DC Movie news, DC films, DC Animation and DC Comics Entertainment. He started creating videos when he made a review of Batman v Superman - Justice Con 2020 is a two-day virtual convention held by the fans and for the fans to celebrate Zack Snyder's Justice League finally getting into green light after two and a half years of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut fan movement. - The convention was hosted by The Nerd Queens and ComicBook Debate's own Megan Danielle. It also featured an impressive collection of panelists, including Cyborg actor, Ray Fisher, producer Deborah Snyder, and the man behind the Snyder cut himself, Zack Snyder. - Outside of the cast and crew from Justice League, Justice Con also invited Sheraz Farooqi, Sean O'Connell, Jonita Davis, and Chris Wong as panelists about the diversity in Zack Snyder's films and fandom. - The long-awaited release of the Snyder Cut is to set to drop on HBO Max in 2021 and this final cut of the film will represent a much more diverse movie than its original incarnation, Justice League. It will reveal a much more diverse cast than was seen in the version Whedon finalized in 2017. Snyder is the only credited director on the Justice League 2017 superhero film, but he left during post-production to grieve for a family tragedy, leading to “Avengers” director Joss Whedon stepping in and finishing the material which was radically different from Snyder's initial vision. - The Marvel blueprint wasn't Zack Snyder's idea. He always tried to create an enclosed thing. His original plan for his Justice League movies involved a five movie arc and story. His plan was to follow the story of Superman. Snyder didn't want Justice League released as soon as it was his plan to follow the story of Superman. But Warner Bros execs wanted to get the Justice League team out there as soon as possible. He was rushed into that by Warner Bros and their ploy to catch up with Marvel's Shared Universe. - In Justice Con Panel, Snyder referred to Justice League version that's coming to HBO Max as an “Elseworld” Justice League. It means it doesn't have to be part of the DCEU thread anymore. In DC Comics, the Elseworld label was created in DC Comics to tell stories that used iconic DC Characters but didn't have to follow existing canon. Snyder is free to shape his story into whatever fits what he wants to tell now. - The Suicide Squad 2 is happening with a largely new cast and Guardians of the Galaxy's James Gunn taking over David Ayer as director, The Suicide Squad is one of the most anticipated movies of 2021. - Chris Wong's excited and looking forward to the releases of Snyder's Cut, Suicide Squad, Black Adam (although they haven't started with production) but he is curious about the whole cast of the movie, Superman with Black Adam vs Superman fight, Batman with Robert Pattinson, The Flash, and two secret movie projects that have not yet been announced to the public. - The endless possibilities of Justice League Dark meeting the Justice League is very exciting. JJ Abram's Justice League Dark is entering the DC Universe and produces a new DC Superhero television series that can be streamed exclusively on HBO Max. - With all this different multiverse and stuff, imagine down the line, they do an actual big budget crisis event. When you talk multiverse, what's the next step of multiverse at the end? It's Crisis. It's the Avengers' Endgame. It will put Endgame out of the water. BRINK OF GREATNESS

“I used to walk to work every day in Crystal City,” Snyder says of the area in Northern Virginia near the Pentagon. Each day, she encountered veterans like Clarke, whose situation astounded her. “I couldn’t believe it. He was homeless, right here in my area.” That is where the story begins. Lieutenant Colonel Deborah Snyder served for 22 years, US Army, UH-1 Huey Test Pilot, UH-60 Blackhawk Pilot. Her passion to serve was at the center of her military career; so much that, in retirement she found herself with that same desire back here at home. This time it would be to serve and honor our military vets that were most forgotten. There are approximately 68K Veterans living in transitional shelters, in tent cities and on the streets. “I don’t think we should have homeless vets,” says Snyder, "It’s a fixable problem.” Lloyd Clarke, a Vietnam-era vet found himself homeless at 66 years old, Snyder and Operation Renewed Hope Foundation assisted in finding him a new home. “She’s very serious about helping the veterans,” states Clarke. Operation Renewed Hope Foundation (ORHF) is a Veteran-let nonprofit organization providing quality housing and supportive services to homeless Veterans. ORHF partners with the Department of Veterans Affairs. The organization arranges for permanent housing for homeless Veterans, they provide vehicles, and assist with health care and other services.  “At night when I lay down, I see a ceiling over my head,” Snyder says. “I think of these vets who see the inside of a car or a tent. It’s really nice to see someone go from living in a shelter or in a vehicle and see them happy.” The story continues on the Brink of Greatness Podcast… The Next Leap Forward The 5 words that motivate Deborah Snyder; from the mouth of a veteran... “She has changed my life”.  Mother Teresa summed it up well – “We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.” For Further Insight: Website:  https://operationrenewedhopefoundation.org/ Donate Here:  https://operationrenewedhopefoundation.org/how-you-can-help/make-a-donation/

He created a science-fiction based mythology revolving around ancient space deities known as the New Gods. Similar to the gods of Earth lore, the New Gods were larger than life, possessing fantastic powers, which they used in a never-ending struggle between good and evil. Fourth World characters include Steppenwolf and Darkseid. Noticias y pollo frito Saludos a Frederic Werthan. Definitivamente NO. – Hugh Jackman ¿¿¿ confirma ‘Old Man Logan‘???
