Chris Wong, chef and co-owner of Lilijana Eatery in Port Melbourne, brings a unique culinary story to Melbourne's food scene. A former professional hockey player who spent nearly a decade travelling to and from Scandinavia for the winter season, Chris was inspired by the comfort and tradition of the Nordic cuisine he ate in his friends' homes. His restaurant, named after his wife Christine's grandmother, Lilijana, blends Scandinavian and continental European flavours with a focus on house-made sourdough, smoked salmon, and pickles. Chris actually trained and worked in industrial design, but always wanted to work with food. With lockdown and more time on his hands, he volunteered at Gradi to learn some skills and he worked with various mentors in the hospitality industry. Chris and his wife, Christine initially started with a food truck making pizza before transitioning to running Lilijana Eatery with Christine's sister, Steph. The café's thoughtful menu, warm hospitality, and Chris's commitment to sustainability have already earned it a spot in Good Food's top 20 cafes, a testament to their hard work and passion. Chris is a driven chef with an insatiable desire to learn more and he loves sharing everything that he learns with his customers both in the café and in the classes he teaches upstairs on Bay Street. I loved hearing Chris' story and I can't wait to go back to Lilijana Eatery to try more Scandinavian treats.

One city, two Cellars, seven decades, and thirty vibrant jazz personalities. Journeys to the Bandstand: Thirty Jazz Lives in Vancouver is the debut book by author and veteran music journalist Chris Wong (Vancouver Sun, Georgia Straight, Vancouver Courier). It is an in-depth and rich account of the remarkable life stories of several key protagonists in Vancouver's jazz and improv scene. From lesser-known icons such as trumpeter John Dawe, to revolutionary shape shifters such as pianist Al Neil, to essential leaders in today's scene such as bassist Jodi Proznick, Wong chronicles this carefully-curated selection of intriguing lives with a gentle compassion, a steadfast respect for the truth, and a deep love and understanding of the art form itself. The book describes the inspiration, passion, and the lure of a life dedicated to music, but also the emotional, economic, and physical toll that can often accompany such a choice. While chronicling the professional trajectories of his chosen subjects, Wong also shines a light on a city with a rich jazz culture, a supportive community, and a fascinating musical history. Mr.Wong is my guest then we return with a Jazz Show debut recording done at Vancouver's original Cellar with alto and tenor saxophone master Art Pepper playing with three of Vancouver's finest players: pianist Chris Gage, bassist Stan "Cuddles" Johnson and drummer Jimmy Wightman all from an evening on July 23.1959. This wonderful recording was made by the ex-manager of the club, Dave Quarin and it's with his kind permission that you can listen to it on The Jazz Show tonight.

The second installment to the 2 part episode entitled: What architecture school did not teach you?DRAWING BY HAND IS A NECESSARY SKILL TO MASTER ARCHITECTUREThe argument is to make sure that architecture is rooted in the arts and humanities and not entirely a technology-driven endeavour. The essential mastering of spatial experience drawn by hand, over and over again, developing the plan and section, space, volume, and detail is not only for houses and small-scale buildings but complex buildings. The architect would be taken out of the equation if they disregard the fact that architecture is designed inside out and not outside in. If architects are now solely fascinated by technology, the profession is no more different than engineers and building surveyors. Talk Architecture 2023, Author: Naziaty Mohd Yaacob. Chris Wong joins the show to discuss his experience as a panelist at Justice Con. He talks about a wide variety of topics related to Zack Snyder's Justice League and latest inside rumors and info that is happening now and in the future on this Road to DC Fandome. Join this fun and informative conversation. - Chris Wong-Swenson's Ping Pong Flix Show is a YouTube Journalist discussing up to date DC Movie news, DC films, DC Animation and DC Comics Entertainment. He started creating videos when he made a review of Batman v Superman - Justice Con 2020 is a two-day virtual convention held by the fans and for the fans to celebrate Zack Snyder's Justice League finally getting into green light after two and a half years of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut fan movement. - The convention was hosted by The Nerd Queens and ComicBook Debate's own Megan Danielle. It also featured an impressive collection of panelists, including Cyborg actor, Ray Fisher, producer Deborah Snyder, and the man behind the Snyder cut himself, Zack Snyder. - Outside of the cast and crew from Justice League, Justice Con also invited Sheraz Farooqi, Sean O'Connell, Jonita Davis, and Chris Wong as panelists about the diversity in Zack Snyder's films and fandom. - The long-awaited release of the Snyder Cut is to set to drop on HBO Max in 2021 and this final cut of the film will represent a much more diverse movie than its original incarnation, Justice League. It will reveal a much more diverse cast than was seen in the version Whedon finalized in 2017. Snyder is the only credited director on the Justice League 2017 superhero film, but he left during post-production to grieve for a family tragedy, leading to “Avengers” director Joss Whedon stepping in and finishing the material which was radically different from Snyder's initial vision. - The Marvel blueprint wasn't Zack Snyder's idea. He always tried to create an enclosed thing. His original plan for his Justice League movies involved a five movie arc and story. His plan was to follow the story of Superman. Snyder didn't want Justice League released as soon as it was his plan to follow the story of Superman. But Warner Bros execs wanted to get the Justice League team out there as soon as possible. He was rushed into that by Warner Bros and their ploy to catch up with Marvel's Shared Universe. - In Justice Con Panel, Snyder referred to Justice League version that's coming to HBO Max as an “Elseworld” Justice League. It means it doesn't have to be part of the DCEU thread anymore. In DC Comics, the Elseworld label was created in DC Comics to tell stories that used iconic DC Characters but didn't have to follow existing canon. Snyder is free to shape his story into whatever fits what he wants to tell now. - The Suicide Squad 2 is happening with a largely new cast and Guardians of the Galaxy's James Gunn taking over David Ayer as director, The Suicide Squad is one of the most anticipated movies of 2021. - Chris Wong's excited and looking forward to the releases of Snyder's Cut, Suicide Squad, Black Adam (although they haven't started with production) but he is curious about the whole cast of the movie, Superman with Black Adam vs Superman fight, Batman with Robert Pattinson, The Flash, and two secret movie projects that have not yet been announced to the public. - The endless possibilities of Justice League Dark meeting the Justice League is very exciting. JJ Abram's Justice League Dark is entering the DC Universe and produces a new DC Superhero television series that can be streamed exclusively on HBO Max. - With all this different multiverse and stuff, imagine down the line, they do an actual big budget crisis event. When you talk multiverse, what's the next step of multiverse at the end? It's Crisis. It's the Avengers' Endgame. It will put Endgame out of the water. Pucking Funny’s first ever multi interview episode includes talks with Lauren Didusko, Chri Wong and Sarah Dash. All 3 are current members of the Melbourne ICE, and could have more different roads to landing in Australia's City by the Bay. Lauren from regional NSW, Chris from Hong Kong, and Sarah from London Ontario Canada. Their different roads to Australia and to hockey show how no matter a person’s origin, we all have more in common than different.
Welcome to Linda Liu & Partners on air. My name is Chris Wong, I'm a patent attorney in electronics. I have been working here for more than 10 years. It is generally known that the new version of Guidelines for Patent Examination has entered into force on November 1, 2019 in China, of which a highlight is the introduction of the deferred examination system. The introduction gives an applicant the opportunity to request a deferred examination, so that the applicant will have more time to consider the scope of protection or whether to submit more divisional applications.
