Covering as much sport as possible including NFL, AFL,NBA, NRL, Cricket, Rugby Union....basically whatever I can fit in an episode plus a whole heap of fantasy football analysis
Remplacement running backs, quarterbacks - injury carnage in the NFL - hopefully listening in will help point you in the right direction! Enjoy!
All the NRL, AFL and F1 action, plus we discuss Mick Schumacher's rise through F2 and whether he will be getting into F1 and who he might unseat. Haas, Alpha... maybe a Schumacher/ Raikkonen partnership... tantalising. Also, we look into momentum in sport, is it a thing? And social media - are people being unjustly scrutinised or are they just stupid? Enjoy!
My pick ups and drops for the NFL fantasy season. Is DJ Moore going to perform? Lev Bells likely replacement and the Washington Football Teams backfield and also - which teams to avoid (Deteoit...looking at you) Enjoy!
What a week in sport! The NFL is back, we discuss the NBA finals and what the Miami Heat will be doing with Bam Adebayo leading them through the finals. Predictions for the NRL and AFL and we go through all the drama at the F1 Grand Prix in Tuscany. Plus we get into the power rankings for each F1 Team - Coutts is determined to prove Ferrari is better than Red Bull. Enjoy!
Another drive, another lot of thoughts on how to do a draft in a redraft league. This time I run through how I like to draft and what to focus on and when. If you want an idea on how to have a solid team your first time put, then have a listen to this Fantasy NFL basics. Hot tip: Your dont win your league from the draft, but you can surr lose it.
This is a quick intro into the types of leagues out there, focusing on the NFL fantasy with the season about to kick off! Have listen if you are just getting started! Next episode to be up soon!
The NFL season is fast approaching so I thought I'd give you my 2 cents on who to target in waivers as well as a bit of NFL Fantasy 101 for anyone out there that classifies as "fantasy curious" so please, enjoy, subscribe, like and or review...please....
Almost a 2 for 1 - 25 and 26 coming out at almost the same day...lucky! This week we talk about the Tigers comeback over the Manly Sea Eagles, Max Verstappen losing a wing in practice at Monza and all the AFL happening with the crossover in rounds, we talk finals footy and who we think will take the flags this year. The NBA finals are hitting their stride with only a few teams left and the surprise package of the Miami Heat with Bam Adebayo taking on the Greek Freak and going up 3-0 in the series. We also run through the NFL roster cuts and Quiddich, a sport? Plus Couttsys wanker of the week and a heart felt something nice from Bermo.
Sorry for the delay and poor editing. We have chastised ourselves like Al Pacing at half time on Any Given Sunday. Anyway, we cover the Tim Tszyu vs Horne fight, Bondi was on-site and gives some great insight into the undercarriage fights as well - watch the footage of the undercarriage women's fights...great odens raven! Also the NRL and the Broncos coach dismissal, the new Cowboys coach in North Qld - we got TODD PAYTEN WOOOOHOOOO...sorry... also the Collingwood Magpies defeated the Carlton Blues. Had to mention that Couttsy said I should... *insert shifty eyes* and all the rest of the sports action.
Now there is more to come on this episode, unfortunately, technical difficulties have made it difficult to get the episode together. Luckily, the content that is available is Nick Crosers' interview. This will give you some great AFL content where he discusses his favourite players to bring you home into the finals. An interesting one for sure! We talk Houli coming back and Bontempelli firing - its a great chat for AFL Fantasy. Also, I have a bit of a chat with myself about draft strategy for NFL fantasy as well - Note: I dont trust Tom Brady as my only QB.
See if you can spot the moment where we had to stop recording and start again. It is seamless but you should be able to figure it out. But anyways - we talk about Anthony Siebold, Wayne Bennett, Tom Lynch and all the AFL and NRL news from this week as well as the NBA playoffs and whether LeBron will win by a lot or a heck of a lot - just kidding, we do some more analysis than that and also talk F1 Drivers.
This is the first episode of Fantasy Friday's! Its a heap of fun where Bermo talks with Col, a long time friend and commissioner of their primary Dynasty NFL Fantasy football league "No Touching of the Hair or Face" which has been running for 5+ years. Bermo and Col get into the best and worst choices they have made with the Dynasty league, the upcoming rookies and next step players like Ronald Jones II, Breshard Perriman and plenty more. Let me know what you think! Enjoy.
Firstly, alologies for the pod being late, life was in the way of it happening but anyways - here it is. We discuss the Blues having a great win and we do not discuss the Pies getting thumped by the Demons. We briefly go through the idea of Pat Cummins as the next captain of the Aussoe cricket team. We also look at the NBA and the Bucks vs Trailblazers game as well as all the other news from the playoffs. Also, slapping. https://youtu.be/7BeMxPezApQ Enjoy.
Aren't you lucky? Two uploads in one day. Both are a great listen - if nothing else, Bondi's whinging at the start is glorious. We go into this Flagship show doing our best to wait until the time is right to just saw that the Adelaide Crows are a big bunch of "insert expletive." I know I enjoyed that but I also enjoyed talking about my something nice moment which was an NFL opt-out Guard from the Chiefs Laurent Duvernay-Tardif. Have a listen to find out what he did that deserved me saying something nice about a member of a team I normally don't like. Also, we get into the NRL, AFL, NBA and a whole range of things with various issues popping up through the Covid bubble with Tavita Pangai Jr, Wayne Bennett and Anthony Seibold causing problems. A couple of statement wins for the Melbourne Storm and the Newcastle Knights. Great fun episode. Enjoy!
Wow! So good to FINALLY line up schedules with Tim from Fortify Physiotherapy in Queensland. Tim came on the podcast to chat about the basketball, load management with the NBA stop start season and the NFL having no preseason games. Tim and I grew up in Townsville, watching Sam Mckinnon and Rob Rose play for the Crocodiles and loving playing basketball together and against each other for many years so when he didn't pick the San Antonio Spurs for the NBA championship with Greg Popovich taking out his 7th title...nah it was ok, LeBron and the Lakers are definitely looking the goods. But have a listen to some great insights into managing players and injuries, more great content to follow. Look him up at: fortifyphysiotherapy.com.au/ instagram.com/fortifyphysiotherapy?igshid=1u35vz0vgnjl3
Heading into a week where we all ended up scattered across the country, we finally managed to get it all together and even put an interview in it from Across the Pond Podcast as well. But we talk about Antonio Brown and the suspension from the NFL, the outputs, MLB, NBA and of course we look through the weeks NRL and AFL (dont get me started on Collingwood...) and with Melbourne going into COVID lock down, but we talk about how it sure hasn't slowed down St Kilda in the AFL. Also, Coutts picked a pretty cheeky Wanker of the Week and Bondi found something from Russia with, well love I guess.
Well what a week. 2 pods - lucky you guys! So we had Across The Pond Podcast host interview earlier in the week and now this week the guysget together and talk all about the AFL, NRL and the NFL. Sadly we had to talk a great deal about #mentalhealth and it was a big thing with the passing of Shane Tuck at the age of 38. We also went into the Lies getting hammered, the Broncos reshuffle and the coaching changes that are happening in the #NRL enjoy!
This episode is a special one with Mehmet from Across the Pond Podcast having a chat with Bermo and running through his love of the New England Patriots and Bermos reciprocated distaste for all Patriots fans but the one thing they definitely agreed on was Drew Brees. What a champion. But they did talk Premier League, Champions Leage and Nottingham Forest FC so have a listen, let us know what you reckon. Enjoy.
Bermo is back after another mishap landing him in hospital...this bloke is about as healthy as a double bacon cheeseburger with a smoking habit but at least this week we got a solid podcast sorted- we covered some sad news with Shane Tucks passing as well as cricket legend Barry Jarman which was not a great way to start pod but we talked about Siebolds possible departure from the Broncos and Paul Greens definite departure from the Cowboys. We talked a great deal about the F1 and even a throw back to Mick Malthouse. Of course we talked about the NFL, AFL and NRL as well as the Brumbies having a win in their Super League return. Enjoy!
Bit of a different show this week with so much happening, we tried to cover as much as we could with the Cowboys returning to their losing ways, Wayne Bennetts jab at the Broncos management and Cam Newton getting signed by the patriots, we had lots to get through. Of course we discuss the Wanker of the Week and Bondis Obscure Sport as well. Enjoy! This is the obscure sport we talked about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IS-5tBlSAoA&feature=share Wanker Of the Week info: https://amp-theage-com-au.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/amp.theage.com.au/sport/afl/magpie-steele-sidebottom-cops-four-match-ban-20200701-p557wd.html?amp_js_v=a3&_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQFKAGwASA%3D#aoh=15945421357050&_ct=1594542154095&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theage.com.au%2Fsport%2Fafl%2Fmagpie-steele-sidebottom-cops-four-match-ban-20200701-p557wd.html
We took a bit of time this week to look at both the NRL and AFL and talked about the drop offs from clubs that were meant to be surging for the flag like the West Coast Eagles and the Richmond Tigers and to a lesser degree the NQ Cowboys while we looked at the possibility of having Bondi read our Tarot cards because he was the only one that saw the unlikely Matthew Rowell and the Gold Coast Suns look unstoppable. Plus we look at Couttsys Wanker of the Week and Bondis petrol inducted obscure sport and some thunder is stolen which prevents Bermo from saying something nice. I guess he can continue hating that team this week. Enjoy!
Well Bermo ended up back in a hospital bed for...you guessed it! His back....again... But we are professionals, kind of, but the good news is that we all got to see a metric tonne of sport. The Carlton Blues had a win so Couttsy was stoked, the Collingwood Magpies got up so Bermo was happy but the Cowboys let us down so Bondi was disheartened but we still ran through all the big stuff check out our website: Notdanpatrick.com See all of our articles in the opinions page - enjoy!
Apologies for the late upload, Bermos fault this week, that damn back was playing up after the surgery but luckily we are all professionals...I promise... but we get into a heap of great stuff this week with the NRL, AFL and rugby union all having things happen this week with video review errors, the new NRL rules with the truck and a heap more with the wanker of the week continuing in spectacular form and Bondis Obscure Sport being brilliant as always. Plus - Bermo says something nice about a team he doesn't like, this week it's Port Adelaide. Also Bermo has a whinge about the Collingwood magpies.
Cracking week, all very excited with us writing all new articles and with plenty of sport started and soon to be up and running, praise be to the sports gods! Couttsy has a doozy wanker of the week and Bondis Obscure Sport is sensational as always. Thanks for joining us!
