1) Servidor: Cuando se comprende lo que es el servicio, al toque se comprende que no está ligado al poder y mucho menos a las apariciones o pretensiones. Me encanta la frase: “el que entra como papable, sale como cardenal”. Estos días pasados hemos escuchado mucho eso, porque la Iglesia no es un ámbito de poder. El papa Francisco nos remarcó mucho eso y hasta a los curas nos recordaba que no somos “patrones de estancia”. El servicio pasa por hacer el bien y aportar a la vida del otro sin esperar nada a cambio, porque lo que hagas tenés que hacerlo por convicción y no por conveniencia. El hacer las cosas por conveniencia lo único que hace es que siempre estés esperando el crédito o el rédito del otro y cuando ese otro no lo cumple, todo cae. 2) Practican: La felicidad no pasa por lo que hago al otro y mucho menos por lo que me dé el otro, sino más bien por las cosas que hago y con lo que practico en lo que hago. Si hago las cosas para adquirir un beneficio personal a cuestas de otros, puede que esa felicidad esté reducida a lo sentimental; pero si no hago las cosas con convicción y sin esperar del otro, puede que esa felicidad esté unida a mí actitud de vida y a mi cotidiano andar. 3) Contra mí: Es también claro saber que hay gente cercana a uno que puede lastimarte o simplemente difamarte. No falta en el trabajo aquel que ya sabe tu punto débil y cómo hacerte enojar, o no falta ese familiar que se desapareció por tema de herencia o simplemente porque no le gustó cómo una vez le contestaste. Los que hablan de ti hablan más de ellos que de ti, pero no des espacio para que eso te quite la paz. Aprende a conocerte incluso en los conflictos; cuando escuches lo que hablan de ti, entonces más tienes que volver a ti. Algo bueno está por venir.

Jautājums, vai kara darbība ietekmē laikapstākļus, protams, ļoti aktuāls kļuva pēc Krievijas iebrukuma Ukrainā. Karš norisinās jau ceturto gadu. Katru dienu redzami kadri ar sprādzieniem, degošām degvielas un naftas bāzēm, no kurām gaisā paceļas milzu dūmu mutuļi, kas dažkārt ir saskatāmi pat meteoroloģiskajos satelītos, ne tikai augstas izšķirtspējas, ko lieto militārām vai dabas katastrofu novērtēšanas vajadzībām. Tas, protams, liek uzdot jautājumu, par to, kā tas ietekmē vidi? Skaidrs, ka kara darbība videi ir graujoša. Piesārņojums gan ūdeņos, gan augsnē ir tik liels, ka vajadzēs daudzus gadus, lai šīs vietas atjaunotu. Krievijas armija uzspridzināja arī Kahovkas ūdenskrātuves dambi un vairāk nekā divu tūkstošu kvadrātkilometru lielā ūdenstilpne izzuda, kardināli mainot vidi. Šo stāstu no Ukrainas ir ļoti daudz, bet šoreiz nošķirsim ietekmi uz vidi no tiešas ietekmes uz laikapstākļiem. Laikapstākļus ietekmē fizikāli procesi, taču kā parasti, tie ir savstarpēji saistīti, mijiedarbojas un ķēde ir tik gara, lielākoties līdz galam neizzināma, jo jebkurai stihijai vai vētrai mēs varam izsekot tikai nelielu pēdējo posmu no tās izcelsmes ceļa. Parasti, kad Latvijā ir kādi neparasti laikapstākļi, jautā, no kurienes tie? Piemēram, šis aukstuma vilnis maijā. Nedēļām ilgi mūsu reģionā valda ziemeļvēju plūsma, to rada paaugstināts spiediens uz rietumiem no Latvijas virs Atlantijas okeāna un pazemināts spiediens virs Skandināvijas austrumiem un Krievijas. Šāda situācija ir klasiska aukstuma viļņiem mūsu reģionā, nekas neparasts, bet kāpēc tieši tagad tāda ir izvērtusies, tālāk jau šķetināt ir sarežģīti. Tāpēc par tūlītēju kara ietekmi runājot, jāsaka - karš Ukrainā neatstāj nekādu, vismaz kaut cik nomērāmu ietekmi uz laiku ne Latvijā, ne lielākoties arī pašā Ukrainā.  Jautājums parasti ir par lielajiem ugunsgrēkiem, dūmu mutuļiem, vai tie tiešām neietekmē laikapstākļus? Ne tik ļoti, lai tas būtu pamanāmi. Piemēram, pēc kādām lielām kaujām, bobardēšanām vai naftas rezervuāru degšanas nav manāms, ka tuvākā vai tālākā apkārtnē izmanās temperatūra vai citi atmosfēras parametri. Te noder ļoti vienkāršs salīdzinājums. Kad tiek uzspridzināta kāda degvielas noliktava, tur sadeg vairāki miljoni litru naftas produktu. Bet kaut vai Latvijā transporta vajadzībām vienas dienas laikā tiek iztērēts jeb sadedzināts 3-4 miljoni litru dīzeļdegvielas un benzīna. Ukrainā, rupji rēķinot, iedzīvotāju skaits ir aptuveni 20 reižu lielāks, tātad normālos apstākļos, kad saimnieciskā darbība norit kā ierasts, visticamāk, šis rādītājs arī būtu proporcionāli līdzīgs – dienā transportā vien tiktu sadedzināti ap 60-80 miljoniem litru naftas produktu. Tas ir vairāk, nekā vairumā šo degošo degvielas rezervuāru, ko mēs video kadros no kara zonas redzam. Tas nozīmē, ka rēķinot tīri fizikāli, cik daudz siltuma no sadegšanas un cik daudz gāzu nonāk atmosfērā, neiegūstam pēkšņu, ļoti ievērojamu palielinājumu. Mēs nemanāmi sadedzinām daudz vairāk.  Ir pētīts, cik daudz Krievija patērē degvielu un aplēses ir dažādas, robežās no 9 līdz 15 miljoniem litru dienā, bet Ukrainas patēriņš ir starp 3 un 4 miljoniem litru dienā. Arī sprādzieni paši par sevi lielākoties neizdala tik lielu siltumenerģijas daudzumu, lai ietekmētu gaisa temperatūru. Šeit atkal var veidot salīdzinājumu ar redzamo, iespaidīgo sprādzienu, kas izdala ap vienu gigadžoulu siltuma, bet, piemēram, lai apkurinātu 60 kvadrātmetru dzīvokli visu apkures sezonu, vajadzīgs pat 30 reižu vairāk enerģijas. Parēķinām, cik miljoni kvadrātmetru ik ziemu ir jāpkurina, cik tur aiziet daudz siltuma gaisā, bet to tā, ka piekurinām savas telpas, ārā siltāks uzreiz nekļūst.   Vēl arī stāsts par ziņu, kas aplidoja Latviju pagājušajā nedēļā, ka gaidāmā vasara Baltijā būs viena no karstākajām pēdējās desmitgadēs, temperatūra pārsniegs +34 grādus. Toms Bricis ir izsekojis, ka šī ziņa nāk no poļu meteoroloģijas entuziastiem. Uzreiz jāsaka, lai kāda būs vasara, šīs ziņa līdz Latvijai nonāca sagrozīta, ar piefantazētiem elementiem un droši ticamu prognožu tik ilgam termiņam tāpat nav.

Any chance a few of the forwards might get on board the Moose caboose? Time to Restump Podcast the emotional roller-coaster Friday night ride, resulting in a loss to the powerful premiership favourite Pies. Collingwood are deservedly premiership favourites so there is some level of merit in Freo's Friday night performance. However, we just can't do honourable losses any more. While the 14-point margin suggests a closely fought contest, the reality is Freo should have handed out a six-goal belting. How are we so talented in finding unique ways of avoiding victory! What are we playing dodgeball with winning? I mean it is almost impossible to lose a game of football when you clock up near on 30 more inside 50s than your opponents. You hate to think it but… only our beloved Dockers could manage that. The issues aren't exclusive to one area or positional group pf players but, while the forwards didn't exactly help themselves, the delivery to them was atrocious. We strangely went in with a host of talls and it seemingly inspired the mids to sit the ball on their heads! If I didn't know any better, I'd have thought we subbed Blake Acres back in for a game. It literally got to a point where you thought Uber could have delivered the ball more efficiently!I mean we won the centre clearances 21 to 7 which is an absolute smashing! We tripled their centre clearances; we doubled their inside 50s and we yet somehow find just one more scoring shot and lose by a couple of goals. Don't tell me that wouldn't stump the Myth Busters crew!Unable to get the balance right between fast and painfully frustratingly slow play was never going to end well and, again, while the forwards did little to help themselves out, often all going up for the same ball, imagine trying to lead when you don't know what the mids and ball carriers are going to do. In fact, I don't even know if the mids and ball carriers new what they were going to do.It shouldn't have to be applauded but it was comforting to see that, while not at levels we saw against the Crows, the energy and intent was there. However, the turnovers wiped us out and the inability at times to hit simple kicks and handballs when under little to no pressure, continued to destroy us.  Some have suggested the performance was subpar given the Pies rested Pendlebury, De‘Goey, Maynard and Mihocek. But let's not forget Jamie Elliot, Steele Sidebottom, Jack Crisp, Will Hoskin-Elliot and Jeremy Howe were all there. Add Dan Houston, Tim Membrey and Darcy Moore and they pretty much had eight 200 gamers. We're not throwing the towel in because we're only a game and % off the final eight pace. But at the moment, in our current form or lack thereof, a game and % feels like we're a fair way back. AFL logic suggests JL needs a miracle from here to keep his gig going into 2026, but does laying the entirety of the blame on him give the players a free pass? Could a few do with an incentivizing stint back at Peel? Couldn't hurt to send an actual message. We've prattled on here long enough and we're getting nowhere!
