Billy Slater and Peter Psaltis unpack a high-scoring opening weekend that proved preseason form is often a "reality check" once the real whistle blows. They break down why the Melbourne Storm remain the gold standard of preparation and how the Penrith Panthers continue to use their defensive intensity as a mirror to expose their rivals. Key Highlights The 24-0 Record: A deep dive into Craig Bellamy’s staggering 24-year undefeated streak in Round 1 and what it reveals about the Storm's elite preseason standards. Wayne’s World at Souths: The Rabbitohs’ 40-point explosion and why a fit Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker make them the most dangerous attacking unit in the comp. The "Mirror" Effect: Billy explains how Penrith’s relentless pressure forces opponents like the Broncos to confront their own fitness and mental deficiencies.
