Austin Hill wins for the first time at Dega with a late yellow in XFinity. Cleetus McFarland gets a Top 10 in the ARCA race, which wasn't a total cluster. The announcing was also good since Jamie Little wasn't on the call. Thoughts about the "run what you brung" All-Star Race idea being canned along with Lionel halting die-cast production due to tariffs, but there are definitely other reasons.

Shiyan Koh, Managing Partner of Hustle Fund, and Jeremy Au discussed: 1. 6 Million Population: Singapore's population reached 6 million in 2023, up from 5 million in 2010. Shiyan noted the population was 2.7 million when she left two decades ago in 1990, highlighting rapid growth. Increased density has boosted economic diversity, comparable to New York City's business environment. Unlike USA or the EU, Singapore's population growth is driven by legal immigration due to strong border enforcement. International events like the F1 Grand Prix and Token 2049 contribute to an influx of expatriates, reinforcing Singapore's role as a global business hub. 2. Anti-Immigration vs. Education Assimilation: With Singapore's GDP per capita at USD 88,000, which six times higher than neighboring Malaysia, Shiyan highlighted that Singapore naturally attracts workers from ASEAN countries. She emphasized that immigration often fills jobs that the local population does not. Jeremy noted that immigration, while necessary for economic growth, is controversial globally, especially when people feel its benefits aren't equally shared. They both suggested that schools should serve as platforms for integrating immigrant children, given Singapore's declining birth rate. They also discussed how international schools, equal government funding across local schools, socio-economic factors, tuition, and parent self selection drives competition across families for local school slots. 3. US$230M Bitcoin Theft Lessons: 20-year-old Singaporean Malone Lam was arrested in Los Angeles for stealing 4,100 Bitcoin, worth USD 230 million. He partied hard with the proceeds, gave away Birkin bags at nightclubs, and bought luxury cars. Prioritizing long-term thinking and value creation leads to sustainable success, rather than chasing short-term career gains that sacrifice integrity. Jeremy and Shiyan also touched on fostering "kampung community spirit”, the impact of alumni networks and socioeconomic background on local school performance, and the role of expatriates in Singapore's business ecosystem. === Shiyan Koh is the Managing Partner at Hustle Fund, a venture capital fund that invests in pre-seed software startups in the U.S., Canada and Southeast Asia. Prior to that she was VP Business Operations and Corporate Development at NerdWallet, a Fintech Startup that helps users with a range of financial decisions through content, community and tools. Over the course of six years at NerdWallet, she led product teams, ran business operations and corporate development, and helped grow the company from US$1M to US$150M in revenue. === Watch, listen or read the full insight at https://www.bravesea.com/blog/singapore-population-growth Nonton, dengar atau baca wawasan lengkapnya di https://www.bravesea.com/blog/singapore-population-growth 观看、收听或阅读全文,请访问 https://www.bravesea.com/blog/singapore-population-growth Xem, nghe hoặc đọc toàn bộ thông tin chi tiết tại https://www.bravesea.com/blog/singapore-population-growth Get transcripts, startup resources & community discussions at www.bravesea.com WhatsApp: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VakR55X6BIElUEvkN02e TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@jeremyau Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jeremyauz Twitter: https://twitter.com/jeremyau LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/bravesea Spotify English: https://open.spotify.com/show/4TnqkaWpTT181lMA8xNu0T Bahasa Indonesia: https://open.spotify.com/show/2Vs8t6qPo0eFb4o6zOmiVZ Chinese: https://open.spotify.com/show/20AGbzHhzFDWyRTbHTVDJR Vietnamese: https://open.spotify.com/show/0yqd3Jj0I19NhN0h8lWrK1 YouTube English: https://www.youtube.com/@JeremyAu?sub_confirmation=1 Apple Podcast English: https://podcasts.apple.com/sg/podcast/brave-southeast-asia-tech-singapore-indonesia-vietnam/id1506890464

In the latest edition of The Auto Action Rev Limiter Podcast, we dig deep into ‘our' Oscar Piastri's first F1 Grand Prix Win… and we say ‘our' because he has been an Auto Action Columnist before the other motorsport media in Australia even knew his name. He is the 115th winner of a Grand Prix and the 5th Australian to do so. The side play was the petulance of Lando Norris and the dummy spitting tantrum of Max Verstappen, who didn't like working for a living. We also digest Chaz Mostert's dominant weekend in Sydney as he hunts the Bulls. He's passed Broc Feeney in the title race, and now he has his eyes on Will Brown. Plus we've got all the news that matters. The Rush Hour Melbourne Catch Up - 105.1 Triple M Melbourne - James Brayshaw and Billy Brownless
Billy is back from his country footy cashie to deliver an All Sports Report - as Oscar Piastri takes his first ever F1 Grand Prix win in Hungary. Damian Barrett is in to talk positives and negatives from round 19, before Billy attempts a phone topic so bad that JB exercises a veto. We get a much better phone topic, then Josh in Albury has a crack at $10k with Guernsey Cash. Billy looks at the highlights of the weekend in footy, and then in case you were affected by the Microsoft outage over the weekend - we replay our interview with four-tie Olympic gold medallist Cate Campbell. Then we finish up one of Billy's all-time worst performances, with a really poor joke about Pepsi.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Oscar Piastri is just the fifth Australian to win an F1 Grand Prix, but his victory came in the shadows of controversy. Teammate Lando Norris railed against McLaren orders to hand Piastri the win, before eventually succumbing to team pressure. While Piastri had earned the right to preferential treatment earlier in the race, it's raised a litany of questions about the political manoeuvring taking place at breakneck speed. Senegalese international and former Chelsea goalkeeper Édouard Mendy is considered a legend of football. Becoming the first African to be awarded both the UEFA and FIFA goalkeeper of the year in 2021, followed by a big money transfer deal to Saudi Arabia, Mendy has reached the very heights of the game. But football careers don't last forever, so he is diversifying, and can now add a new line on his CV - as an investor in Francophone Africa. This week we speak to the man with arguably the hardest job in F1: Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur. Fred is bringing Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari next year. We get into that with him, what (or who) else Ferrari still needs to win a world championship and how Fred uses humour to get his way. He talks about managing the fragile confidence of Ferrari team members and how he is pushing them to take more risks. Former Ferrari F1 engineer Rob Smedley of “Fernando is faster than you” fame helps us read between the lines along with Motorport.com Italy's F1 Editor Roberto Chinchero. Fred Vasseur, 56, has been in motorsport for 35 years. He had huge success in F3 and GP2 (the forerunner of F2) with ART – making champions of drivers like Hamilton, Nico Rosberg and Nico Hulkenberg. He came into F1 in 2016 as boss of Renault F1 team, (now known as Alpine) he joined Sauber in 2017 and gave Charles Leclerc his F1 break with the team. He transferred to Ferrari for the start of the 2023 season and is now a multiple F1 Grand Prix winner.
Since 2018, Formula 1 has partnered with AWS to harness the power of its data both on and off the track, having developed the next-generation F1 car which launched in 2022 and an enhanced viewing experience for fans through data-driven F1 Insights powered by AWS, which have become a key aspect of the broadcast production on a race weekend. Now, as the partnership continues to push the boundaries of innovation, Formula 1 is set to introduce generative artificial intelligence (generative AI) through AWS tools, to drive creativity and solutions throughout the sport, as well as increasing operational efficiency. As an example of that increased creativity, AWS, the Title Partner of this weekend's FORMULA 1 AWS GRAND PRIX DU CANADA 2024, will debut the first-ever generative AI-inspired F1 trophy. AWS explored a range of traditional, elegant trophy designs and applied generative AI to conceive the perfect award. The result is inspired by the research that went into the development of the 2022 F1 car, where AWS cloud technology was used to help formulate the car design, and represents an F1 car's aerodynamic wake complete with details that celebrate the race's home country including a maple leaf and Montreal's St. Lawrence River. The trophy was crafted by a silversmith based in the UK, merging new technologies with the rich and elegant traditions of F1. Formula 1 and AWS are also inviting fans to experience the power of generative AI first-hand by designing their own trophy. Using the PartyRock F1 trophy generator, fans are encouraged to get creative for a chance to win a trip to a Grand Prix in the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. For more information on the competition, and the generative-AI trophy design process, visit here. Looking ahead, the partnership will see the development of Statbot which will utilise the power of generative AI to effortlessly analyse historical data from the F1 archives to supply the broadcast production team with key facts and statistics quicker than ever before. It will feed the team with answers to specific questions that could include, "When was the last time a driver won their first F1 Grand Prix as a rookie?", to which Statbot will give the answer: "Lewis Hamilton in 2007 at the Canadian Grand Prix". Information is currently researched manually in preparation for, and during, race weekends but with the Statbot tool the production team will be able to access relevant information significantly faster during the broadcast. F1 is also working with AWS to apply generative AI to the process of root cause analysis (RCA) to more efficiently identify and address the underlying cause of technological issues that occur off-track during races. This tool will enable F1 to investigate system errors by asking questions of logged data using natural language, thereby enhancing F1's ability to maintain peak operational performance during races, minimise downtime and ensure a seamless race for teams, drivers, and spectators. Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer, Formula 1 said: "For over six years, AWS has been an invaluable partner, revolutionising the use of data to enhance how we operate across the sport. Our worlds continue to merge as we look to game-changing technologies, like generative AI, to elevate both the on-track competition and off-track experience for fans. AWS's commitment to innovation enables us to help push the sport forward and we're excited to see the first-ever generative AI-inspired trophy on display in Canada this weekend and give fans the opportunity to showcase their love for F1 through the design of their own trophy." Neil Ralph, Principal Sports Industry Specialist, AWS said: "Formula 1 cars generate more than a million data points per second and that's just the start. F1 captures additional data on the drivers, circuits, weather, and the amazing history of F1 itself. At the core of our partnership is the ability to extract valuable insights from all of this data. With AWS's gen...

Las Vegas public safety agencies spent months planning for the first-ever Formula 1 Grand Prix race and hosting football's biggest game of the year. As part of their preparations, the Clark County Fire Department and other Las Vegas public safety agencies worked with the FirstNet Authority's Network Experience Engagement Program. Through a collaborative planning process, FirstNet ensured first responders were prepared for these major planned events, as well as an unexpected avalanche just north of the city. Podcast Guest: Doug Harder, Senior Public Safety Advisor, First Responder Network Authority Brian O'Neal, Assistant Chief, Clark County Fire Department, Nevada
After another great weekend of motorsports and the NFL Draft, Phil and Josh return for E218 of the GSP. The Penske cheating scandal didn't affect Scotty McLaughlin and the Thirsty 3's, since he won Pole and became a two-time winner at Barber. Josef Newgarden definitely took a lot of hits with his press conference and Tim Cindric's lame excuse too regarding the cheating scandal. In lighter news, Georgina the mannequin dropped off the bridge and got run over by debutant Luca Ghiotto in the process. The guys go over all of this along with the firing of David Malukas at Arrow McLaren after never racing for the team. NASCAR raced at Dover for their only time of 2024 with the rivalry of Hamlin and Larson coming through. Larson had the faster car, but Dennis played the aero blocking game and held the Hendrick driver off. The Joe Gibbs Racing weekend started with Ryan Truex winning his second straight XFinity race at The Monster Mile after a great battle with Carson Kvapil. Phil and Josh review their teams NFL Draft hauls along with other key players picked who could make an immediate impact in the league. For the GSP Roundup, Phil looks at NHRA, MotoGP/Moto2, Formula E, Indy NXT, AMA Supercross and F1 Academy. The guys get back to preview the F1 Grand Prix of Miami and NASCAR Cup and Trucks at Kansas prior to Josh's Sim Segment and Show Close.

We open with the news Kate Middleton is having treatment for cancer and how Em was right in her assumptions that we shouldn't be speculating about BBL's and the like. Especially when a woman is undergoing a medical treatment that we don't have all the information on. Sending WTF thoughts to the Palace PR team and speculating on Kate's marriage to Prince William though, still falls into an open season situation. Then we pivot into an update on Em and Vincie's Friday inside the Mercedes AMG tent at the F1 Grand Prix, with a side quest into female F1 drivers and why Vincie doesn't trust optometrists anymore. Em and her daughters went to a family friend's 21st birthday where they witnessed some truly awful DJ work, which inspired Michael to reveal he's wrapped on Season 3 of ‘The Newsreader' and spent the weekend DJ-ing the wrap up party too. Then it's back to Sunday at the F1, with a side of airport lounge downgrades thrown in. Finally, Beyoncé is due to drop her country music album this weekend, which side quests on Em's rogue Instagram posts, Emsolators commentating on Beyoncé's singing ability, and more sing-ger, vocalist, entertainers and singers chat too. Plus, in our Sealed Section, on our premium service Emsolation Extra, Em and Michael talk about Rebel Wilson naming Sasha Baron Cohen as the celeb trying to stop her publishing her memoir, something that REALLY connected with Em.
