Given the digital resources at our fingertips, what's the point in giving our presence, time and energy to showing up and engaging with people, as a body of faith, in our local community? In the Why Church? series, we'll talk about what the church can and should be in our day, for us as individuals, for our communities and for the world. This week we will discuss "Church as Force for Good." In an increasingly post-Christian world, it's more important than ever for the church to be a force for good in the community and the world.
How does the church fit into our lives and the world today? Given the digital resources at our fingertips, what's the point in giving our presence, time and energy to showing up and engaging with people, as a body of faith, in our local community? In the Why Church? series, we'll talk about what the church can and should be in our day, for us as individuals, for our communities and for the world. This week we will discuss "Church as Healing Place." Isolation leads to shame, condemnation, and despair, but hope and healing are found in a community of people who carry one another's burdens.
How does the church fit into our lives and the world today? Given the digital resources at our fingertips, what's the point in giving our presence, time and energy to showing up and engaging with people, as a body of faith, in our local community? In the Why Church? series, we'll talk about what the church can and should be in our day, for us as individuals, for our communities and for the world. This week we will discuss "Church as Forged Family." The church is meant to be a place of welcome, belonging and nurture where people can love and be loved.
How does the church fit into our lives and the world today? Given the digital resources at our fingertips, what's the point in giving our presence, time and energy to showing up and engaging with people, as a body of faith, in our local community? In the Why Church? series, we'll talk about what the church can and should be in our day, for us as individuals, for our communities and for the world. This week we will discuss "Church as a People of the Way." The church is a countercultural movement of people who practice the way of Jesus, not club for those who claim certain beliefs.
How does the church fit into our lives and the world today? Given the digital resources at our fingertips, what's the point in giving our presence, time and energy to showing up and engaging with people, as a body of faith, in our local community? In the Why Church? series, we'll talk about what the church can and should be in our day, for us as individuals, for our communities and for the world. This week we will discuss "What is the Church." The Church is not just a place or an event on Sundays, but the called out, gathered and scattered followers of Jesus empowered by the Holy Spirit.
We all have influence regardless of age or occupation. The question is not do we impact others, but how? Throughout our Influencers series, we will examine the faith of four young people who had an enormous effect on the society and culture of their time. And, we will consider how we can make a difference in our own spheres of influence. This week, pastor Allen will explore Timothy's impact on others. Timothy influenced others with the faith that was given to him.

Throughout our Influencers series, we will examine the faith of four young people who had an enormous effect on the society and culture of their time. And, we will consider how we can make a difference in our own spheres of influence. This week, pastor Allen will explore Esther's impact on others. Esther made a difference by facing her fears and speaking up against injustice.

Throughout our Influencers series, we will examine the faith of four young people who had an enormous effect on the society and culture of their time. And, we will consider how we can make a difference in our own spheres of influence. This week, pastor Allen will explore David's impact on others. David's passion for God is what drove him and caused others to follow.

And, we will consider how we can make a difference in our own spheres of influence. This week we will explore Joseph's impact on others. Joseph overcame enormous obstacles and setbacks in order to fulfill his God-given potential. We can too, but it will require patience, integrity, faithfulness, forgiveness and trust wherever life takes us.
Nature is not just part of our biological DNA, it is also in our spiritual DNA. Long before there were synagogues or churches, humans' experienced God outdoors- in the garden, mountains, water and wilderness. Following in the steps of Jesus, we will see how all of these play a part in his relationship with his heavenly father and teaching ministry in our new "On Location" series. This week Allen will teach out of John 20:14-16 where we learn life will flourish under the care and control of a loving God. .
