That Love Podcast presents: The Storm Will Never Take You — A Story of Unshakeable LoveFormat/Genre: An audio drama monologue exploring the depth of parental love — part spoken-word audio drama, part heartfelt love story about the bond that shelters us through life's hardest storms.Logline: When a young soul is drowning in fear of exams, failure, and an uncertain future, one voice refuses to let them believe they're anything less than chosen, cherished, and unstoppable.Episode/Project Summary: Amara Whitfield is a young woman buckling under the weight of expectations — exam stress, self-doubt, and a future that feels impossible to face. Her father, Daniel Whitfield, watches her carry burdens no child should shoulder alone, and decides it's time to speak the words she's been too afraid to hear. As he reminds her that no grade defines her worth and no storm can outlast the love holding her up, Amara begins to loosen her grip on fear. Their conversation becomes less about exams and more about identity — about who Amara is beneath the pressure. By the end, what started as a moment of anxiety becomes a promise: she is not alone, and she was never meant to shrink.Written by: Joao NsitaFollow @thatlovepodcast on Instagram and @thatlovepod on Twitter.
“WEAKNESS IS STRENGTH” Upside-Down Kingdom Week 1 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 INTRODUCTION We start with weakness because it's where most of us are. If you're honest, there's something you feel inadequate about. Something you wish you were better at. Something you've tried to fix or hide or overcome, and it's still there. Maybe you struggle with anxiety. Maybe you're not as smart as you wish you were. Maybe you don't have the body you want. Maybe you battle depression. Maybe you're lonely. Maybe you feel like you're failing at parenting or marriage or work. And you feel weak about it. In our culture, weakness is shameful. We're taught to hide it, overcome it, we try to medicate it. We put on a brave face. We project confidence we don't feel. We work harder to compensate for what we lack. But Paul teaches something radically different. He says his weakness was the entrance point for God's power. “I am most content with weakness, with insults, with hardships, with persecutions, with difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10). This is the Upside-Down Kingdom. Weakness is strength. THE CONTEXT: PAUL'S THORN To understand this passage, we need the context. Paul had an experience—an encounter with God that was so profound, so overwhelming, that he couldn't even talk about it directly. He mentions it in verses 2-4. “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven…I know that this man was caught up to paradise” (verses 2-3). He's talking about himself, but using third person, like it was so incredible he can barely reference it. Maybe he was hesitant to brag. Maybe it was so sacred he could only speak about it indirectly. And then: “Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh” (verse 7). Notice that phrase: “to keep me from exalting myself.” God gave Paul a weakness specifically to prevent pride. Specifically to remind him that he was not self-sufficient. That he was dependent. That all his power came from God, not from himself. A thorn. A weakness. Something painful. Something constant. Something Paul couldn't escape. We don't know exactly what it was. Throughout history, people have speculated: physical illness, chronic pain, spiritual attack, a limitation Paul felt deeply. Some scholars think it was vision problems. Some think it was physical ailment. Some think it was emotional or psychological. But Paul doesn't specify. And maybe that's intentional. Because we all have thorns. We all have something we can't seem to get past. Something that humbles us. Something that reminds us we're not in control. THE PRAYER: ASKING FOR REMOVAL Here's what Paul did: “Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me” (verse 8). He prayed. He asked God to remove it. Three times. Which suggests he wasn't praying casually. He was earnest. Desperate. “God, please take this away. Please remove this thorn. I can't function at my best with this limitation. I can't do my ministry effectively. Please.” Do you know that prayer? Have you prayed it? Lord, remove this anxiety. Remove this pain. Remove this inadequacy. Remove this struggle. I can't do my best work with this. I can't be the person I'm supposed to be with this. It's a legitimate prayer. It's honest. It's something most of us have brought to God at some point. And then comes the answer. And the answer might surprise you, might disappoint you, or might transform you. THE ANSWER: “MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT” Verse 9: “He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.'” Not “I'll remove the thorn.” Not “Don't worry, you won't even notice it after a while.” Not “Be strong and overcome this.” But “My grace is sufficient for you.” There's a massive difference between these responses. One response says, “I'll fix your problem so you don't have to experience it.” The other says, “I'll give you what you need to walk through it.” God didn't remove Paul's limitation. But He gave Paul something more valuable: access to divine grace. Access to a power that doesn't depend on Paul's strength, but on God's. And here's the key: “Power is perfected in weakness.” Not “power despite weakness.” Not “power if you overcome weakness.” But “power is perfected in weakness.” Meaning: weakness is the very condition in which power is most fully realized. The weakness itself becomes the vehicle for power. This is counterintuitive. This is the Upside-Down Kingdom. THE REVELATION: HOW WEAKNESS BECOMES STRENGTH Here's how this works practically. This is crucial to understand. When you're strong, when you have it all figured out, when you don't need help, when you're self-sufficient and confident, you're inclined to trust yourself. You believe in your own capability. You lean on your own understanding. You solve your own problems. You push through on your own power. And you never experience the need for God's power. You never access it. Because you never hit the limit where you have to. But when you're weak, when you've exhausted your own resources, when you can't do it on your own, when you've tried everything and nothing works, you're forced to trust something beyond yourself. You have to. You have no choice. And that's when God's power becomes available to you. Not because God wasn't available before. But because you weren't available to receive it. Your strength was in the way. I think of a man I know who built a successful career on his own strength. Self-made. Driven. Ambitious. Confident in his own ability. He worked eighty-hour and ninety-hour weeks. He achieved everything he set out to achieve. And by all external measures, he succeeded. And yet, he was miserable. No peace. Constant stress. Anxiety about maintaining it all. Empty victories. Success that tasted like ashes. Then his body gave out. Burnout. Panic attacks. Insomnia. His strength failed him. And he couldn't fix it. Meditation didn't work. Exercise didn't work. Pushing harder didn't work. Because the problem wasn't something he could solve through willpower. So in desperation, he stopped trying. He stopped fighting. He admitted: “I can't do this on my own.” And in that admission, something shifted. He got therapy. He started taking medication. He asked for help. He learned to rest. He learned to pray not from obligation, but from desperation. He learned to say “I don't know” and “I can't handle this” and “I need help.” And in that weakness, he found something he'd never had in his strength: peace. Real connection with God. Authentic faith. Deep dependence. Unshakeable stability. His weakness became the doorway to his deepest strength. APPLICATION: YOUR THORN IS AN INVITATION So here's the question for you: What's your thorn? What's the limitation you wish you didn't have? The struggle you keep trying to overcome? The weakness that embarrasses you or frustrates you or keeps you up at night? Maybe it's something internal: anxiety, depression, loneliness, self-doubt. Maybe it's something external: illness, disability, chronic pain, something you can't change. Maybe it's something relational: conflict you can't resolve, someone you love who won't come back, a relationship that's broken. Maybe it's something about yourself: your appearance, your intelligence, your talent level, your capacity. Whatever it is, you've probably tried to overcome it. You've worked on it. You've fought it. You've prayed about it. And it's still there. And here's what Paul is telling you: That thorn might be an invitation. Not an invitation to give up. Not an invitation to stop trying to grow or to accept harmful situations. But an invitation to stop relying on your own strength and start relying on God's. Because here's what's true: You were never designed to be strong enough on your own. None of us were. Our culture tells us we should be. Be self-sufficient. Be independent. Be strong. Take care of yourself. Don't burden others. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps. If you're struggling, it's because you're not trying hard enough. But Jesus never taught that. Jesus said, “Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Weary. Heavy-laden. Weak. Tired. Burnt out. Those are the people Jesus invites. Not the strong. Not the self-sufficient. But the weak. And when we finally accept that invitation, when we finally admit we can't do this on our own, when we finally stop pretending and start being honest about our limits, something shifts. We stop performing. We stop pretending. We stop trying to be strong enough. And we discover that God's grace really is sufficient. It really is enough. More than enough. THE PRACTICE: NAMING YOUR WEAKNESS So practically, what do we do with this? First: Name your weakness honestly. Don't hide it. Don't minimize it. Don't pretend it's not there. “My anxiety is real. My loneliness is real. My inadequacy is real. My pain is real. My struggle is real.” Naming it is the first step to surrendering it. Second: Stop trying to overcome it through sheer willpower alone. You've probably tried that. If willpower could have fixed it, it would be fixed by now. So stop. Admit that your strength isn't enough. Third: Bring it to God. Really bring it. Not in a formal, churchy way. But honestly. “Lord, I'm weak here. I don't have the strength for this. I've tried and I've failed. But Your grace is sufficient. Your power is perfected in my weakness. So I'm going to stop trying to be strong and start trusting that You are.” Fourth: Live differently because of it. Maybe your weakness means you need to ask for help. Maybe it means you need to slow down. Maybe it means you need to be honest in community. Maybe it means you need to be honest in community. Maybe it means you need professional help—therapy, medication, coaching. Maybe it means you need to develop spiritual practices you've resisted. Do whatever it takes to stop pretending you're strong enough. And fifth: Watch for God to show up in ways you didn't expect. Because when you stop leaning on your own strength, when you stop white-knuckling through life, you create space for God's power to actually work. CONCLUSION Here's the paradox that closes this: The thing you're most ashamed of might be the thing that makes you most useful to God. Think about it. Paul's thorn—whatever it was—never went away. He carried it his entire life. But because he carried it, because he knew his own weakness intimately, because he had to depend on God's grace every single day, he became one of the most compassionate, most spiritually powerful leaders in history. Why? Because he didn't just believe that God's grace was sufficient. He lived it. Daily. He knew it in his bones. His weakness authenticated his faith. If you're sitting here today feeling weak, feeling inadequate, feeling like you're not enough, I have good news: That feeling might be the most honest thing about you. Because you're not enough. You were never meant to be. You were designed for dependence. For trust. For grace. And when you finally accept that, when you stop fighting it and start surrendering to it, when you stop trying to be strong enough and start receiving God's strength, you'll discover what Paul discovered: Your weakness isn't a liability. It's an opening. It's where God's power enters. This is the Upside-Down Kingdom. And it starts with weakness.

What keeps us steady when life becomes uncertain, painful, or overwhelming? In “Unshakeable: Abiding in Jesus,” Minister Kevin Howell teaches that lasting stability is not found in circumstances, possessions, success, or even our own strength—it is found in remaining connected to Christ. Drawing from John 15:1–11, John 8:31–32, and 1 John 4:9–17, Minister Howell explains Jesus' picture of the vine and the branches. The Father prunes, Christ produces the fruit, and believers are called to abide—remaining in His Word, depending on His strength, obeying His commands, and staying connected to one another through love and service. This practical and encouraging message reminds us that everything in the natural can be shaken, but those who remain rooted in Jesus do not have to fall away. As we abide in Christ, He gives us the strength to endure life's challenges, bear lasting fruit, and walk with peace, joy, and spiritual stability.
An angry customer can become your biggest critic. Or your most loyal advocate. The difference is how you respond. In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down how customer complaints can expose weaknesses in your operations, strengthen your service, and create deeper brand loyalty. Most unhappy customers never complain. They simply leave. The customer who speaks up is giving you valuable information about where your systems failed and an opportunity to prove the integrity of your business. In this episode, you'll learn: • Why customer complaints are valuable feedback for improving operations• How defensiveness prevents businesses from fixing recurring problems• Why speed, accountability, and direct action can rebuild trust• How an impressive recovery can turn an angry customer into a lifelong supporter The truth is simple: Mistakes do not always destroy trust. Refusing to take responsibility does. Own the problem. Fix it quickly. Deliver a recovery that exceeds the customer's expectations. When you respond with extreme accountability and zero ego, a complaint can become one of your strongest brand-building opportunities. Your Network is your NETWORTH! "Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10In Hebrew, the phrase "be still" literally means to stop — to let go. Let go of the fight. Let go of control. Trust that God is God, and we are not.We trust pilots with our lives without knowing their names. We trust Uber drivers with our safety without seeing their record. Yet we hesitate to trust the God who holds the entire universe in his hands. What would it look like to surrender control today and trust God with the outcomes we've been white-knuckling?God doesn't promise an unshakable life — he promises an unshakable Himself. And that changes everything.

Think About It - Philippians 4:5-9
Can your faith remain steady when life feels shaken? In this message from 2 Thessalonians 1, we discover that God never promised His people a life free from hardship—but He does promise to build an unshakable faith in the middle of it. As Paul encourages the Thessalonian church, we're reminded that trials can strengthen our faith, deepen our love for others, and anchor our hope in Christ. Through every season of uncertainty, God invites us to let go of our own plans, remain close to Jesus, and grow in our understanding of His faithful character.

In this inspiring compilation of The Burn Podcast, Ben Newman brings together two incredible stories of drive, purpose, and the relentless pursuit of growth — one from the world of wellness, the other from the hardwood.First, Lexi Johnson, founder of Lexi J Wellness, shares how she turned a global shutdown into an opportunity to serve others. What started as workouts in her unfinished basement during the pandemic became a thriving community that empowers thousands of women to take control of their health and mindset. Lexi opens up about the powerful letter she wrote to her father that changed his life — and how that moment became the heartbeat of her mission. From small-town roots to nationwide impact, her story is proof that when your burn comes from a place of love and purpose, there's no limit to what you can build. Then, Drew Hanlen, one of the most respected basketball trainers in the game, joins Ben to talk about mastering the mental side of success. Having coached NBA stars like Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, and Bradley Beal, Drew reveals what separates the good from the great — a commitment to the unrequired work that others avoid. He also shares lessons from his book Stop Bullshitting Yourself, a wake-up call to anyone standing in their own way. Through his words, Drew reminds us that greatness isn't about talent — it's about consistency, accountability, and a refusal to settle.Together, Lexi and Drew embody what The Burn is all about — the inner fire that fuels your discipline, the courage to believe before results appear, and the resilience to keep pushing when comfort calls.************************************Learn about upcoming events and coaching: https://www.workwithbnc.comGet Ben's latest book The STANDARD: https://amzn.to/3DE1clY1stWork directly with Ben: https://www.bennewmancoaching.comConnect with Ben Newman:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/continuedfightFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/Continuedfight/Twitter: https://twitter.com/ContinuedFightLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ben-newman-b0b693Qlogix: www.Q-logix.com/benhttps://www.bennewmancoaching.com************************************Learn about our Upcoming events and programs:https://www.workwithbnc.comLet's work TOGETHER https://www.bennewmancoaching.comLet's work together to write YOUR next book- BNC PublishingSend us a messageOrder my latest book The STANDARD: Winning at YOUR Highest Level: https://amzn.to/3DE1clY1st Phorm | The Foundation of High Performance Nutrition1stPhorm.com/bnewmanConnect with me everywhere else:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/continuedfightFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/Continuedfight/Twitter: https://twitter.com/ContinuedFightLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ben-newman-b0b693
Pastor Jamie Crawford delivers part four of the "Unshakeable" series, "Built to Last," teaching that God prepares believers through clearing, stretching, and settling seasons to form deep, lasting foundations. He urges listeners to trust the process, deepen their faith and obedience, and remember that what God builds will stand—turning current rubble into lasting breakthroughs.

The Exhortation of the Unshakeable Kingdom
Amy Davis | RespondIn this session, Amy talks about the difference between temporary calm and the lasting peace found in Christ. Walking through Ephesians 2 and Philippians 4, she explores how Jesus becomes our peace in the middle of anxiety, pressure, uncertainty, and everyday struggles.Rather than offering quick fixes, this session looks at prayer, gratitude, and fixing our minds on what is true as practical ways to experience God's steady presence.Respond Women's RetreatPlease leave a review on Apple or Spotify to help others grow in their faith. Something is shifting. With Uranus now in Gemini and 2027 on the horizon, Nicole has been feeling the pull to say things differently — and in this episode of Unshakeable with Human Design, she follows that pull into a conversation she's been wanting to have for a while. It started with a simple question from a listener: "Is there anything in my chart that tells me whether I should do this?" It's exactly how most of us have been trained to think about Human Design. But Nicole's answer challenges the whole premise — because your chart was never meant to be a crystal ball. In this episode, she unpacks what Human Design is really here to do, the difference between inner authority and outer authority, and why one has to come before the other. She also gets honest about an industry that loves to sell the magic pill — the prescriptive readings and AI reports that hand you all the answers — and why that feels so good but costs you the one thing Human Design is actually here to give you. If you've ever wished your chart would just tell you what to do, this one's for you. For years, dry cleaners have used strong chemicals to remove tough stains from delicate fabrics. Things like perchloroethylene, DF2000 and liquid silicone. And usually, the stain goes away. But what do we do with the stain of sin . . . the stain that’s evident on every human heart. “What can wash away my sin – nothing but the blood of Jesus.” Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie shows us how the Lord can wash our sins as white as snow. The time to buy a fire extinguisher is before a fire starts. The right time to put on your seatbelt? When you first get in – before the car accident. The time to prepare for a crisis? When we give someone a birthday gift, we don’t ask them to give it back when they disappoint us. Well, God doesn’t revoke the gift of eternal life when we do something that displeases Him. Our salvation was purchased at Calvary . . . and that purchase was final. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out how we can rest in the finished work of our salvation, but then set our minds on moving forward in our walk of faith. It’s good encouragement for good times and bad. The Harvest Crusade is coming to Angel Stadium on July 11!
