*Talk with Sarah* is inspired by the youth. Here, we cultivate a community of different races and tribes to serve God’s purpose in our generation: living a more yielded life. We are the essential fragment of society, and as they say, we are the leaders of tomorrow. However, there are some issues, questions, and habits we are faced with. We need someone to talk to, air our views to, and talk about how best to cope or deal with such issues. Imagine what the world will be if we all lived out our purpose. This podcast is to the youth, letting them know that we care and see them.

It all keeps falling apart! I have the pieces, I've put them together yet, to my frustration, they won't stick. I've tried everything: taken them apart, put them back together, scraped, polished, changed the arrangement; you name it. I've tried it all. I can't give up. My life is on the line here. It's mine to fix. It needs a form. I need this fast. I'm crumbling. The pieces are getting more and more with every fall. I need them together before all I have left is dust. Help! Little beginnings Ever heard the story of the tortoise and the hare? Here it is anyway: A Hare was making fun of the Tortoise one day for being so slow. _"Do you ever get anywhere?"_ he asked with a mocking laugh. _"Yes, I do"_ replied the Tortoise, _"and I'll run you a race to prove it."_ The Hare was quite amused at the idea of running a race with the animal with the highest reputation for a lack of speed, but, for the fun of the thing, he agreed. So the Fox, who had agreed to act as judge, marked the distance and started the runners off. The Hare was swiftly far out of sight and to make the Tortoise feel very deeply how ridiculous it was for him to try a race with a Hare, he lay down beside the course to take a nap until the Tortoise should catch up. The Tortoise meanwhile kept going slowly but steadily, and, after a time, he passed the place where the Hare was sleeping. But the Hare, unsuspectingly, slept on; and when at last he did wake up, the Tortoise was near the goal. The Hare jumped out of his sleep and ran as fast as his legs would take him, but it wasn't enough to overtake the Tortoise in time. Note that the tortoise started off very slowly and he probably wouldn't have had anything on the hare if not for the pride of his opponent. He didn't beat himself up for being slower. He just kept "running" at *his* pace. He wasn't intimidated by the speed of the hare. His beginning wasn't so great but with consistency and endurance, he won against all odds. *Be the tortoise* *Talk with Sarah* --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/talkwitsarah/message
... It was a stormy day and war was brewing. The two armies were geared up and ready to fight. All that stood between them was a wall. Being built many years ago, that wall looked insignificant but a more determined eye would see a young man who was stuck. Not because he had been hooked but because he couldn't afford to come down. That would mean he had to pick a side and that wasn't part of his plan. He was eating from both pots and didn't want to stop. He had too much to loose. The benefits he'd have to give up were impossible to let go of. Picking one side would mean betraying the other. The wind blew and he held on tight. Falling of that fence was not an option. He could not decide so he sat there, on the fence, one leg and arm on either side, just he and his dilemma. He felt it before he felt it. The sound of a gunshot echoed in the wind. War chants could be heard and a body was seen falling from the fence. Soon enough the fence went down too and he was gone for good. No one searched for him because he was not an ally to either side. He was neither here nor there. He died on middle ground. *Pow!* A heavy slap landed on my face. It's all my fault because I didn't give him attention. He was talking to me in the room but I was busy on my phone. It's all my fault, don't blame him. My heart is being broken into pieces day by day. Some days it feels as literal as it sounds, other days my body feels like that when he gets annoyed. Sometimes I feel loved, sometimes I just don't know. I don't feel like we're dating because what I hear all the time when I ask is that it's complicated. Nevertheless, I'm in love, and I believe it's mutual. We've been together for so long that I can't imagine my day without him. I really didn't want anything serious when we first met, so we just flowed with the vibe (thinking, “let's just see how it goes”) and here I am wanting more. I give him my all, like a partner would, but I'm not. I don't know who I am, or what I mean to him. I don't know what to do. People will always want you to act, behave or speak in a certain way because that's how culture or society has shaped their view. Even when you act or behave in the way they want you too, it still not enough. Fitting in today has cost a lot of harm than good, it strips you of your identity. Trying to be someone that you are not or “fit in” just means that you are unaware of who God says you are, yes we are in this world but not of it, we are not to conform to the dictate of the world, but we are to stand out, stand up tall and be proud of who we are. Our lights are for the world to see, so don't let people tell you to dim your light. It's time for you to illuminate and be a bright light that you are

My first love "You can't forget your first love". It's a very cliché saying but it's one I agree with. My first love is too big a part of myself to be forgotten. I loved Him right from when I knew what the word "love" meant. How could I not love Him when He was always there? Through my mood swings, sick times and happiest moments, He never left. We did everything together. From eating to walking to studying, you name it, He was right next to me. We were inseparable or, as most people would put it, joined at the hip. He was my confidante. He was the one person I would always want to talk to. Whether I was angry, happy, sad, excited, frustrated or just downright tired; He would be the first person on my mind. He understood me so well and I trusted Him with my innermost thoughts. He had become a huge part of my life. We used to spend so much time together. We would talk endlessly for hours and I'd feel like only minutes had passed. Sometimes we would just be silent. Staying in each other's company and saying nothing wasn't awkward or uncomfortable. It was calming, reassuring. Knowing He was there was enough for me. He was so caring. If I needed anything, I wasn't scared to ask Him because He would always deliver. There were times when I wouldn't even need to ask. He just knew. Being Human, I drifted from him several times but every time I returned, I would find Him waiting with open arms. No judgement whatsoever from Him. He'd take me back like I never left. What's not to love? His kindness left me baffled on most days because he never wanted anything but my love in return. Just thinking about Him makes me smile. I've had many "loves" since I've known Him but I can't say the same for any of them. Because His love is the only true love, it will forever remain unforgettable. I loved Him then, I love Him now and I know now that I'll always love him. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/talkwitsarah/message

God's love for diversity is immeasurable He created different types of people, race or culture for his pleasure being composed of unique elements. Like a diamond worship is multifaceted. It has many aspects. Worship is far more than music and feeling the songs. Worship is a lifestyle and it's all about God. Bringing pleasure to God is called worship and anything you do that brings pleasure to God is an act of worship. Today we would be worshiping God in music. Remember Worship is not by mouth and lip service but where your heart is It is not a part of your life but it is your life. It is not just for church services alone we "worship God continually and praise him from sunrise to sunset". Worship is a "HEART POSTURE " . --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/talkwitsarah/message

I heard a funny story once of two men who stood across from each other looking at a figure. One said it was 6 while the other said it was 9. Both men were adamant that what they were seeing was right and convinced that the other was wrong. They argued on and on. The story had no end but truth be told, neither was wrong. It's all about perspective. The same can be said about a glass half full or half empty. Life presents us with impossible situations sometimes. It's just like a boy given a basket of lemons. Depending on who is asked, the lemons are either useless or very useful. Half empty is tossing them out because, really, how many lemons can a boy eat? That's giving up the moment things are tough. Half full is doing something productive with those lemons. He could sell them or make lemonade out of them. This is what I like to call a silver lining. To every situation there is a bright side. No matter how dark it gets, there's still a trace of light. A wise man once said *"facts will be facts but the truth(the word of God) remains the same".* The way you define a situation affects the outcome. *Look at your glass. Is it really half empty or half full?* --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/talkwitsarah/message
Hurt! No! That doesn't even touch the surface of how I feel. You promised that I wouldn't feel like this. That You would give me joy. That I would have peace. You said You never lie but how am I supposed to believe that? Night and day, I'm constantly beaten up by the same people that you have asked me to love yet you say I have joy? How do You explain this anger I feel in spite of your promise of peace? Day after day, my mind is whipped and bruised. The torment is unbearable. Your son already went through this for me so why do you still let me suffer so much? I'm tired of this. Why have you left me to do this alone? If it's something I did, I'm sorry. I need you back. I'm carrying all this pain on my own and I can't let go. I've lived with tears for a while but he won't take any weight off. Where have you gone? You promised that you'll never leave so where are you now that I need you most? I have all these excesses and I have no one to help me. So, this is it? My life started out fine. With each new day came love and joy that I was always happy to meet. But, year after year, it looked like my life was gradually losing meaning. What was I really doing? Time seemed to pass slowly everyday just to taunt me, to piss me off! The mind games. How can I forget? Lately, they've become so many that I just stopped dealing. I'm constantly reminded of what a waste I've become. I look in the mirror and see a stranger. It's almost like I'm living in the shadow of my former self. In the stillness of night, when the lights are turned off and everyone else is asleep, I'm wide awake, battling my own thoughts that keep coming back to haunt me. I keep repressing and now my bottle is full. Hopelessness and despair have become my companions. All the sadness and anger just won't go away. I try to wrestle but I keep getting pulled back down. Let me tell you a story Tick-tock goes the clock. She used to love that rhyme as a child. It never seemed real to her until now.Everyday kept passing like a second and she couldn't keep up. Time was in a never ending race. Ever elusive, it wouldn't stop running even when there was no chase. Time finally seemed to slow down to a crawl when a shot was fired. The pandemic hit and suddenly time was tangible. She could almost reach out and touch it. The race appeared to have stopped without plans of resuming in the near future so she did nothing but simply exist. She made no plans, learnt nothing, planted no seeds because she was accountable to just one person - herself. Even when the preacher spoke about there being a time for everything, she gracefully paid no attention. She had time on her side afterall. Time's wound began to heal and crawling turned to walking. Time was ready to run again and she wasn't ready. She hadn't gathered enough momentum. She hadn't gathered anything really. The race resumed and she was beaten by time. Are you her? The clock is ticking. *Come talk with Sarah* --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/talkwitsarah/message
