At Riverina Paceway for the Nutrien Equine - Standardbred Race Series 5, I caught up with James Locke, who last Sunday received the TAB Kevin Newman Award for Driving Excellence at the 2025 Gallagher Harness Racing NSW Annual Awards.   James was voted by the public for the best drive of the season following his win with Megs Monaro at Leeton on July 7, 2025.

On Group 1 racing night at Alexandra Park , Blair Orange secured two major victories. Kyvalley Roy produced a very impressive performance to win the IRT New Zealand Sires' Stakes 3YO Trotters, and Jumal followed up with success in the Woodlands Stud NZ Northern Derby.

After Harrison Orange drove his first Group 1 winner at Alexandra Park last weekend, I caught up with him in New Zealand.
