The Positive Episode!! Episode 61: In this episode we are joined by our good friend from across the pond, Steven Van Elk to get a more upbeat perspective on the current state of events! We are fed up with all the negativity surrounding the wedding industry right now, so with the vaccine roll out going well both here in the UK and in the US things are finally looking up! We’re all coming into wedding season and although bookings are a little down from normal for everyone, it is safe to say we are all buzzing to get back behind the lens and infront of a wedding ceremony again! Obviously it wouldn’t be an episode from one half of the Wedding Photo Hangover without some booze so we chat whiskies, our favourite films and also field some questions from the Facebook group. Enjoy! Got any questions? Send us your questions and thoughts on the show to hello@jameskelly.co or join our Facebook group here and leave your comments, questions or share your images (please do not bombard the page with heaps at a time). We also chat about the equipment they use when undertaking such a huge amount of travelling during a wedding day, his Instagram followers, Jim’s thoughts on wedding albums, his printing with his Canon Pro-222 and how he prefers to offer a single shot beautifully printed than an album. Most of mine are through wedding fairs I know you stay late, how do you deal with the drunken idiots at that time Would you like the Facebook group to be more active? Aside from Body & Lenses, what have you found to be must carries. * When do you set up any extra gear such as flashes? What occasions to you need ‘extra gear’ for? * How often do you upgrade gear? Welcome to episode 19 - Wedding photography special. Ross and I teamed up with Steven & Dustin from the Wedding photo hangover podcast. There is a BIG WARNING with this episode. There is a little bit swearing, alcohol and just all round silliness. We talk with them about wedding photography, sports photography, and landscape photography in this episode. Q&A: Is it okay to shark a client out from underneath another photographer? Have you ever forgotten the names of the bride and groom? How can you fix the sun's reflection in the water so it doesn't look wavy? How do you find a cool location for a selfie with sun and light and water and mountain? I wake with the rooster to do sunset shots but the sun is not setting. I wake with the owl to do sunrise shots but the sun is not rising. What am I? (I'm sorry I had to include this to relieve myself of the burden of being the only person to see this awful thing).
