In the Christian church, the Pharisees are often seen as the epitome of hypocrisy.-- the essence of all that is wrong with Judaism. But what if Jesus' teachings were borrowed straight from the traditional writings of these rabbis? What if Jesus wasn't teaching something "new" but something "true" that had always existed in the sacred teachings of these Jewish sages. Kathy and Gary demonstrate how Jesus' teaching flowed in the stream of Pharisaic teaching of his day. Placing his teachings in their proper perspective and context hopefully chips away at underlying anti-Jewish messaging in the Christian church.
Christianity is generally focused on right thinking to determine who's in and who's out. Therefore doctrines and creeds are at the core of what it means to be a Christian. Throughout the history of the church, heresy (wrong thinking) has been dealt with swiftly and often violently. Whose job is it to determine is a belief is heretical? Do we have a 21st century version of "burning heretics at the stake"?
Did Paul Convert To Christianity? by Torah Talk
Perhaps no one in history has been more misunderstood than the Apostle Paul. Did Paul convert to a new religion? Did he argue against keeping the Torah? Let's get up close and personal with this Jewish apostle to the Gentiles.
It seems that all of a sudden all of our societal institutions have gone "woke." But is this a new phenomenon or one as old as the book of Genesis? Join Kathy and Gary as they explore the legacy of Nimrod that has been passed down to all of our institutions in 2024 , even our churches.
Mixing Faith And Politics - The Religion Of Marxism by Torah Talk
Kathy and Gary discuss the sacred duty of a pastor to teach from a Biblical perspective about all relevant issues of the day, even the tough political ones: illegal immigration, the out-of-control growth of the welfare state, abortion, same-sex marriage, and transgender ideology. The church's failure to address these issues head-on from the pulpit may be the greatest contributor to the rampant godlessness that has engulfed our society today.

The controversy of the Paris Olympics runs much deeper than many know. Here's why.
Christian Antisemitism Part 1 & 2 by Torah Talk
What Happens When We Die- Part 2 by Torah Talk
Kathy and Gary discuss the origins of the Christian idea that believers go to heaven when they die. Is it Biblical and what are the logical implications of this belief on the Biblical promise of a bodily resurrection?
Kathy and Gary respond to the accusation that the Hebrew Roots Movement is a cult by clarifying some of the differences between this movement and standard Christianity.
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulders..." What did the prophet Isaiah mean by saying the government shall be the Messiah's shoulders? Which government was he talking about? Is it real or metaphorical? Where is it located– in heaven or on earth? Why don't we hear about this government in our churches today?
Are Our Hands Stained With Blood- Part 2 by Torah Talk
Are Our Hands Stained With Blood- Part 1 by Torah Talk
What exactly is a kingdom? How can we as a 21st century believers living in a nation that prides itself on not being a Kingdom-a nation that literally was birthed in opposition to the idea of a king and a kingdom– actually understand what Yeshua was talking about when He said “Thy Kingdom come… ” More importantly, how can we prepare ourselves for life as citizens of God's kingdom? Kathy and Gary discuss the major paradigm shift needed for Christians to understand that God is establishing His kingdom government on earth and that Yeshua will one day reign from Jerusalem using Torah as the law of the land.
Ask any Christian what the gospel message is and you will get varying degrees of the same answer: Jesus died on the cross for my sins. Is it possible that this standard answer is not only limited but quite self-centered? Does the common Christian use of "the gospel" as a type of "get out of hell free" card miss the point? Does the Bible warn about those who preach a different gospel?
For centuries the institutional church has been quick to label any theological ideas that challenge established church doctrine as heresy. Kathy and Gary examine the history of heresy in the church and its connection to the persecution of the Jewish people and of all those who engage in behaviors that are deemed "Jewish." This disturbing pattern seems to be alive and well today.
Why does the church as a whole reject the Jewishness of Jesus? Why does it reject the centrality of Israel in God's plan of salvation for the world? Is it stubbornness, is it self -righteousness or is it something much more basic and primal.
Kathy and Gary discuss the premise of Jonathan Cahn's Book "The Return of the Gods." Is it Biblically-based and does it explain the insanity we are experiencing in the world today? More importantly, how have believers contributed to this societal chaos and confusion.
The scattering and eventual regathering of both houses of Israel is a MAJOR theme of many of the Biblical prophets and it is even found in the Torah. In this second part of a two-part series, Kathy and Gary discuss the prophecy of Judah and Ephraim and how it is being fulfilled in our day. What does the fulfillment of this prophecy mean for believers today?
Join Kathy and Gary for Part 1 of a story of Biblical proportions, as they dive into a prophecy that is being fulfilled in our time and impacts each and every believer in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Kathy and Gary both share their testimonies, explaining how a desire to follow Torah is not an effort to earn salvation but a love response to God's grace.
Kathy talks with her guest Mikayla Hedrick about an issue that has prompted a great deal of discussion among those of us who are returning to the Hebraic roots of our faith. As we learn more and more about how far the institutional church has strayed from the beliefs and practices of the first century believers, we are left in a quandary--do we stay connected to local church institutions because we have simply always done so, or because we value the relationships we have made over the years, or because we simply don't have anywhere else to congregate? Or do we break with the traditional church because it does not fit with our new-found knowledge, our restructured belief system and the new practice of our faith? It is a real problem. And frankly each of us is left to deal with it as best we can. "We're not Jews although we look a lot like Jews to most Christians. We are not Christians even though we look like Christians to most Jews. Who are we? And where do we fit in? Do we have an identity crisis?"
The Bible says much about bread. It talks of both physical bread and spiritual bread. Yeshua describes Himself as "the bread of life." The prophet Isaiah warns us not to spend our money on that which is not bread, but that is exactly what we have been doing. The enemy has not only corrupted our physical “daily bread” through human greed and misplaced priorities, but He has also been the source of an anti-bread campaign that is cleverly designed to separate us from our physical and spiritual daily bread.
A Pharaoh Who Knew Not Joseph: When Leaders Forget God by Torah Talk
We all know that in times of trouble, the most natural human response is to want that which is causing pain to be removed– or for us to be removed from that which is causing pain. Rarely, would we voluntarily choose to stay in the midst of it. And yet, the God of Israel almost always allows us to remain smack in the middle of pain, trouble, and hardship. But what about the Biblical pattern of Goshen- the safe place God provided for the Israelites right in the middle of Egypt? Can we expect a "Goshen" in times of trouble? What will it look like and how will we find it?
Why The Biblical Covenants Matter To Us by Torah Talk
Yeshua is the Torah! The Torah is still in effect and followers of Yeshua would be wise to acknowledge it and act accordingly. How it must pain Yeshua to hear those who love Him say “The Torah has been abolished.” Everything about his life, death and resurrection proves otherwise. The church has had blinders on for over 2000 years as the enemy of our souls has convinced us that obedience to God's word is somehow a sin.
In this episode, Kathy and Gary talk about the Biblical holiday known as The Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot in Hebrew. They also consider the interesting connections between this holy day and the American holiday of Thanksgiving. The men and women who founded our nation did so with a deep and abiding respect for the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Much of what we know as traditional American values are really Biblical values and much of what we know as American law and justice is actually based on the Torah.
Torah Takes: Come Out Of Darkness by Torah Talk
In part 2 of a 2-part series titled "Imposter Christianity and Babylon the Great," Kathy and Gary focus on false prophecies and perversions of the gospel message that are coming from within the church. Has the inconsistent witness of the church over thousands of years made it a target for the enemies of God? Will future persecution of believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob come from those "professing" to represent the Judeo-Christian faith? History, the Biblical prophets and Jesus Himself all point in this direction.
Our God separates and divides everything and everyone.
In Part 1 of a 2-part series, Kathy and Gary talk about our world's current view of Christianity and how it is now identified as a threat to our nation. Is the stage being set for future persecution of believers of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and will the source of that persecution come from a "religion" that claims the mantle of "Christianity"?
In a second part of a two-part series on Deitrich Bonhoeffer, Kathy and Gary discuss the concept of "cheap grace." Bonhoeffer wrote: "Cheap grace is the deadly enemy of the church...Having laid hold of cheap grace, they ae barred forever from the knowledge of costly grace. Deceived and weakened, men felt that they were strong now that they are in possession of cheap grace-whereas they had in fact lost the power to live the life of discipleship and obedience." Kathy and Gary also show how the modern concept of the "seeker-friendly church' is an extension of Bonhoeffer's idea of cheap grace.
A short Hebraic and scientific word study of "light." (Genesis 1:3)
Nikola Tesla once said: “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration. Kathy uses a basic scientific understanding of energy, frequency and vibration to help explain the power of God's word.
In the late 1930's and early 1940's, there was very little opposition from the German church against Hitler and the rise of Nazism. Going against the tide, Deitrich Bonhoeffer preached it was not enough to follow Christ by preaching and praying. He unapologetically called for Christian action and, if need be, self-sacrifice in order to stop the atrocities against the Jews. Believing that Christian self-righteousness and complacency set the stage for the rise of Nazism, Bonhoeffer died trying to right the wrongs. In this episode, Kathy and Gary discuss the state of the Christian church in Nazi Germany, Bonhoeffer's willingness to stand up to the church's apathy, and the consequences of anti-Judaism in Christian theology.
Gary and Kathy dive into the "Original Sin"-- the sin of pride, which was at the root of Satan's rebellion against God and virtually all other sin. According to Biblical patterns, pride can sometimes be a good thing, but more often, pride is man's way of saying "I know better than God."
