It is appointed to man once to die, and--after that—the judgment. That's Hebrews nine, twenty-seven, and this is Something Good with Dr. Ron Jones. At the end of days, there will be not one, but two separate judgments. The Great White Throne Judgment, and The Judgment Seat of Christ. What will these judgments look like, and who will be judged? Ron has answers today as he wraps up his teaching series, “Heaven: The Father's House and My Eternal Home.”
Ever wonder why people say they don't believe in Heaven? For many, it's because they don't want to believe in hell! Out of every seven or eight New Testament verses in which Jesus speaks, He mentions hell or eternal judgment in one of them. Find out what the Lord had to say next, as Ron continues in his teaching series, “Heaven: The Father's House and My Eternal Home.”
OK, so the boat is a bit on fire and adrift. But at least it's raining.
Welcome to Pandemonium, the plane where the wind screams, gravity is a rumor, and every emergency exit has a reasonable chance of dropping you directly into the Abyss. Tyler explains the cosmology, Randall attempts to locate something resembling a usable map, Ash discovers that the wind is made from every scream anyone has ever screamed, and Producer Dan quietly realizes this entire episode will require aggressive noise reduction. Pack darkvision, ear protection, and a backup character. The weather is hostile, the architecture hates you, and even the demons would rather be somewhere else. Show Notes This week on the RPGBOT.Podcast, we descend into Pandemonium, the endlessly dark maze of caves where hurricane-force winds carry ancient voices, communication is nearly impossible, and prolonged exposure can leave travelers deaf, insane, or both. The crew explores the plane's four layers, from the enormous caverns of Pandesmos to the narrowing tunnels of Cocytus, the marginally more gravity-compliant Phlegethon, and the sealed chambers of Agathion, where forgotten horrors wait patiently for some adventurer with a shovel and poor judgment. Along the way, we examine Pandemonium's strange inhabitants, exiled gods, nihilistic settlements, bizarre monsters, and oddly specific afterlives. We also follow the River Styx, investigate portals that treat destinations as optional suggestions, and discover a magical shouting spot that lets you insult someone anywhere in the multiverse, provided invisible shadow demons do not eat you first. Finally, the episode turns to using spells against player characters. The hosts discuss why illusion magic becomes terrifying in the hands of a villain, how Pass Without Trace can transform ordinary goblins into a tactical nightmare, and why Dungeon Masters should give enemy spellcasters clever strategies without simply making the players miserable. Christopher Nolan's THE ODYSSEY crushed it at the box office this weekend, but this is far from the first film to bring the Greek myths to life on the big screen. While Cory maintains that Nolan ain't stoney, we found some myth movies that are! Plus we've got cannabis comic and mythology nerd Ngaio Bealum to find the right strains to send you on your very own quest for the Golden Fleece. There is really no other movie we should begin with but this one. It's peak Ray Harryhausen with JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS from 1963. Harryhausen brings us the giant Talos, winged-harpies, the seven-headed Hydra AND the skeleton battle that may be the stop motion wizard's greatest achievement. Streaming on Tubi and Roku Channel (although Ngaio warns that the commercial breaks on Roku are "abrupt.") Then, horror maestro Mario Bava drags our beloved demigod Hercules straight to hell in HERCULES IN THE HAUNTED WORLD (1961) aka HERCULES AT THE CENTER OF THE EARTH (UK version). This entry in Italy's sword and sandal cycle from the early 60s is "totally metal" according to Cory, and it's Bava so it has freaky wraiths rising from the tombs of Hades and trees that bleed bright red Hammer horror blood. English body builder Reg Park is Hercules and Dracula himself CHRISTOPHER LEE is the vampire sorcerer who opposes him. The U.S. version with trippy Filmation credits sequence is on Pluto (appropriately); the UK version is on YouTube; and the Italian cut with subtitles is on Prime. Take your pick. As always, we begin by digressing with talk of rock shows and rock clubs we have loved, plus what to partake in before Nolan's three hour ODYSSEY and LISTENER MAIL! Please write to us at oldmoviesforyoungstoners@gmail.com. We love getting mail! Hosts: Cory Sklar, Ngaio Bealum and Bob Calhoun Greg and Philena are on assignment. The Plane of Water episode started exactly how you'd expect an episode about endless oceans to start: with stock prices, GTA 6 rumors, GameStop drama, and Randall suggesting you could solve inflation by storing barrels of oil in your apartment. Eventually everyone remembered there was supposed to be a podcast, which unfortunately meant confronting Ash's greatest weakness: deep water. What followed was less a lore episode and more a two-hour intervention where Tyler discovered underwater spiders exist, Randall weaponized ocean facts, and Ash spent the entire recording questioning every life choice that led him to this point. Somewhere beneath all the existential dread, there was also a Plane of Water. Show Notes This week we dove into one of the most intimidating locations in fantasy gaming: the Plane of Water. Despite containing an infinite amount of something every living creature needs, none of us sounded particularly excited to visit. We explored how the Plane of Water differs between Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder, from endless oceans and violent storms to strange underwater civilizations and terrifying megafauna. Along the way, we examined water genies, krakens, mysterious cities, giant jellyfish stretching across entire planes, and even an anglerfish so enormous that someone thought building a city on its back was a good idea. Pathfinder's version introduced even stranger concepts, including underwater suns, spheres filled with mysterious civilizations, and the return of elemental forces that literally control the tides. As expected, Ash spent much of the episode reliving childhood trauma and explaining why the ocean is secretly the most horrifying place imaginable. Tyler accidentally made things worse by introducing underwater spiders, while Randall enthusiastically contributed increasingly disturbing facts about deep-sea pressure, giant creatures, and dream-fueled tsunami nightmares. By the end, we learned that the Plane of Water contains incredible adventure opportunities, beautiful locations, and fascinating lore. We also learned that Ash would still rather spend a weekend in Hell. Pathfinder's Plane of Water differs significantly, featuring a spherical structure, strange environmental effects, and unusual landmarks. Water genies and merfolk civilizations provide opportunities for diplomacy and exploration rather than constant combat. Krakens, brine dragons, and other aquatic monsters make the plane dangerous, but many creatures are simply focused on surviving in their own environment. Several bizarre megafauna inhabit Pathfinder's version of the plane, including continent-sized jellyfish and city-carrying anglerfish. Travel to the plane is possible through spells, portals, storms, and occasionally terrible luck. The Plane of Water offers strong inspiration for survival adventures, nautical campaigns, and cosmic horror themes. Despite its beauty and rich lore, at least one member of the cast would prefer literally any other destination. Welcome to the RPGBOT Podcast. Maritza Vazquez, who worked as a bookkeeper for MC2 Model Management, provided critical testimony placing Jean‑Luc Brunel and Jeffrey Epstein at the center of a carefully managed system of underage recruitment and abuse. In her deposition, she identified Brunel as a regular passenger on Epstein's private jet and noted that Epstein often traveled with girls recruited through MC2—some as young as 14. Vazquez testified that flight logs deliberately omitted the names of some female passengers, suggesting efforts to conceal underage trafficking. She recounted Brunel's active role in sourcing vulnerable girls from abroad and introducing them into Epstein's orbit, effectively operating as a global trafficking coordinator.Vazquez further corroborated that Epstein frequently displayed controlling behavior: he referred to Brunel's recruits as inventory rather than people, casually discussing having “slept with over a thousand of Brunel's girls,” according to court documents. Her detailed bookkeeping records and firsthand accounts of scheduling, money flow, and logistics provided prosecutors with evidence of a pipeline feeding Epstein's sex ring. If God already knows the end, do our choices still matter? Scripture shows that predestination speaks to God's purpose and calling—not a forced destiny for heaven or hell. Join Jim Scudder on InGrace as he brings clarity to this debated topic and reveals God's open invitation to “whosoever will.”
Did Jesus really die for everyone—or only for a select few? Scripture repeatedly declares God's desire that all come to salvation, leaving no room for confusion or doubt. Join Jim Scudder on InGrace as he opens the Bible to show why God's grace is offered to all and why salvation can be known with certainty.
