Join Jacobs PremiumJoin the book club (use code LEWIS)This week Dr. Jacobs tackles the Eastern Orthodox perspectives on hell, divine providence, and human nature at Northern Arizona University. This conversation explores how Eastern patristic theology differs from Western Christianity on topics including original sin, the fall of man, Christ's descent into Hades, and the possibility of universal salvation. Jacobs traces his journey from philosophical opposition to Christianity through his discovery of the Church Fathers, addressing common objections to Christian theology based on moral intuitions and examining whether eternal damnation contradicts God's goodness. We also have a little tag on Mormonism and the Great Apostasy at the end. Dr. JB Hixson Mary welcomes back JB Hixson to take a closer look at his latest book, "The Great Apostasy". With seemingly so many different ways in which the church has lost the plot regarding her mission, events of late dictate that perhaps the chapter in his book on falling away politically deserves a second and third look. While the church seems to think that saving the American way of life from imploding should include a side order of the gospel, and while that is a noble thought, we should rather ask, "what are we missing?". Maybe the overarching question should be, "what are we losing?" as politics takes center stage more and more. The passing of the head of TPUSA has revealed many things about the church here in 2025, and the biblical maturity of those who are inheriting it. We talk about Christian Nationalism, the marriage of politics and faith; Dominion Theology, postmillennialism, and why Americans are so obsessed with politics. What is the Left? What is the Right? Is it really just Coke or Pepsi? Are Christians so naive to think that there is salvation of ANY kind in politics, considering who owns the systems of the world? A challenging hour to think long and hard about things that come and go, and things that are eternal. In this powerful verse-by-verse teaching through 1 Timothy chapters 3 and 4, we uncover God's blueprint for church leadership—and Paul's urgent warning about a coming great falling away from the faith.Chapter 3 outlines the high calling and qualifications for bishops and deacons, revealing what true spiritual leadership looks like in a world full of compromise.Chapter 4 shifts to a prophetic warning: some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. This is a timely message for the Church. As spiritual deception increases in these last days, we must hold fast to the truth, train ourselves in godliness, and raise up leaders who reflect the heart of Christ.

What happens when the claims of a 200-year-old American religion collide with the 2,000-year history of Orthodox Christianity? Ben Langlois (Orthodox Luigi) (https://x.com/orthodoxluigi) joins Jeremy Jeremiah and Cloud of Witnesses Radio for a fascinating exploration of Mormon theology and its fundamental differences from historic Christian faith. If you are an LDS believer, please watch this video and confront the challenges it brings. The conversation begins with what Ben Luigi calls "the most devastating argument against Mormonism" – the historical continuity of the church through the ages. If Mormonism's foundational claim about a "Great Apostasy" is true, then what happened to Christianity for 1,800 years? How do we explain Christ's promise that "the gates of hell shall not prevail against my church" and that He would be with His followers "until the end of the age"? Jeremy and Ben dive deep into the theological inconsistencies within modern Mormon apologetics, particularly around their concept of the Godhead. While traditional Mormon teaching holds that God the Father was once a man who achieved divinity (part of an infinite regression of gods), many contemporary Mormon thinkers are adopting positions that sound increasingly like classical theism – creating major internal contradictions. The discussion also examines historical influences on Joseph Smith's theology, including his involvement with Freemasonry just months before introducing temple ceremonies with striking Masonic similarities. Yet perhaps most fascinating are the unexpected bridges between Mormonism and Orthodox Christianity – from language about becoming "like God" (though with crucial distinctions) to concepts around the Father's role within the Trinity. Whether you're a former Mormon seeking answers, a current member with questions, or simply curious about these theological traditions, this conversation offers compassionate clarity on what separates Mormon teaching from historic Christian faith while highlighting pathways toward deeper understanding between these communities. In a world where religious divisions often dominate headlines, this video presents a refreshing perspective on the potential for unity within the Christian faith. Featuring insights from Gavin Ortlund, a prominent Protestant thinker, the discussion centers around the idea that Christ's work is not limited to any single denomination. Instead, Ortlund argues that the presence of the Holy Spirit can be discerned through the fruits of love, joy, and peace, which are evident in various religious communities. This inclusive approach challenges the exclusivist claims of some Christian traditions, suggesting that a broader understanding of the church could foster greater harmony among believers. By exploring historical events like the Reformation and the Great Apostasy, the video provides context for these theological debates and highlights the ongoing evolution of Christian thought. It encourages viewers to engage with different perspectives and consider how embracing diversity within the faith can lead to a richer, more nuanced expression of spirituality. Through compelling narratives and insightful commentary, the video inspires audiences to seek common ground and work towards a more united future for the global Christian community.⏱️⏱️VIDEO CHAPTERS⏱️⏱️:00:00:00 - Introduction to Gavin Ortlund's LDS Argument00:02:11 - Protestantism as a Renewal Effort00:04:24 - Unity and Diversity in Christian Churches00:06:46 - Fruits of the Spirit in Different Faiths00:08:56 - Education and Understanding Mormonism00:11:10 - Institutional Expressions of Faith00:13:30 - Authority and Apostasy in Church History00:15:47 - The Role of Authority in Preventing Apostasy00:18:04 - Understanding Apostolic Era and Its EndTo Order Jonah's Book, "The Key to the Keystone" visit the following link and use coupon Code: WARDRADIO https://tinyurl.com/Key-to-the-KeystoneFor 10% off Plain and Precious Publishing Books, visit plainandpreciouspublishing.com and use Coupon Code: WARDRADIOFor a copy of Brad's "Dragon Theif" Book, visit: https://a.co/d/7QzqsZN⚡For free trial of Scripture Notes please visit the following link!: https://scripturenotes.com/?via=wardradioJoin this channel to get access to perks:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnmsAFGrFuGe0obW6tkEY6w/joinVisit us for this and more at: WardRadio.com#christian #mormon #exmormon #latter-daysaints #latterdaysaints #latterdays #bible #bookofmormon #archaeology #BYU #midnightmormons #jesus #jesuschrist #scriptures #sundayschool #biblestudy #christiancomedy #cardonellis #kwakuel #bradwitbeckTo support the channel:Venmo @WardRadio or visit: https://account.venmo.com/u/MidnightMormonsPaypal: paypal.me/@midnightmedia Amazon Wish List: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1AQLMTSMBM4DC?ref_=wl_shareCashApp: $WardRadioFollow us at:Instagram: @cardonellis @kwakuel @braderico @boho.birdyFacebook: @WardRadioWorldwideTwitter: WardRadioShowTikTok: WardRadioWorldwide
In this episode of Luke21, Steve Wood explores the mysterious connection between the 70 nations listed in Genesis 10 and the 70 disciples sent by Jesus in Luke 10. Drawing from Genesis, Deuteronomy, Revelation, and other key scriptures, he reveals how spiritual powers once assigned to nations were ultimately overthrown by Christ—and how their resurgence may mark our descent into the Great Apostasy. With rich biblical insight and prophetic urgency, this episode challenges believers to see evangelism not as optional, but as essential spiritual warfare—especially in a time when the world mirrors the days of Noah. From the fall of Babel to the rise of the Antichrist, listeners are invited to awaken, pray, and engage in the battle for souls with the authority given by Christ. We're currently traveling verse by verse through Paul's second letter to the Thessalonians and are focusing in on chapter two today. In this section of Scripture, Paul writes about what is known as The Great Apostasy, a day in which there will be a massive falling away from the faith. He exhorts us to stand fast in the faith because there will be many false teachers paving the way for the emergence of the Antichrist into the world.

This is episode #3, "NOW? Is This the Great Apostasy NOW?"," a five part miniseries "Unveiling Apostasy: Recognizing Signs of the Apostate Church." These are perilous times. We must get our game face on if we are to navigate these murky waters with success and the peace of Christ that passes all understanding. To deny the reality of this moment is to submit to defeat, both in this hour and perhaps for eternity. This is the time to make your calling and election sure and prepare for maximum impact. Its not gloom and doom...for the Christian. But it is a trying, serious time. If you want to successfully navigate these whitewater years, you must come to a knowledge of the truth and be saved, and once you are saved, to stand strong on the truth of God's Word. The Bible says that the Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit. In the Apostate church, the heretics who "lead" look like us, but they masquerade with the intent of destruction. This has come with some complications NOT RELATED TO THE HEALTH OF THE CHILD OR MOTHER, including need to make more space in the house. In response a viewer made a GiveSendGo campaign to assist me in dealing with these complications from this joyous event. What Does the New Testament Teach about the Great Apostasy? #695 by Come, Follow Me with Scripture Central
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Lk 17:7-10 - Jesus said to the Apostles: "Who among you would say to your servant who has just come in from plowing or tending sheep in the field, 'Come here immediately and take your place at table'? Would he not rather say to him, 'Prepare something for me to eat. Put on your apron and wait on me while I eat and drink. You may eat and drink when I am finished'? Is he grateful to that servant because he did what was commanded? So should it be with you. When you have done all you have been commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do.'" Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2) Bishop Strickland reacts to removal by Pope Francis: "I feel very much at peace" https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/bishop-strickland-reacts-to-removal-by-pope-francis-i-feel-very-much-at-peace/?utm_source=popular 3) Bishop Schneider: Bishop Strickland's removal is "a blatant injustice" https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/bishop-stricklands-removal-is-a-blatant-injustice-says-bishop-schneider/?utm_source=popular 4) Are we living in the Great Apostasy? https://www.mysticsofthechurch.com/2023/05/are-we-in-great-apostasy.html
