The HISA grant is the Home Improvement and Structural Alterations Grant. https://www.prosthetics.va.gov/psas/hisa2.asp This grant pays up to $6800.00 directly to veterans for home improvements to make a home more accessible for certain disabilities. We will also talk about the VA claims process.
ChampVA is forcing Federal Retireee spouses who have ChampVA to take Medicare. ChampVA is secondary Payer to Medicare as well as secondary payer to other federal employees health insurance. Having Medicare is not necessary in this case. We need to discuss this and get this rule changed or lose ChampVA.
