Well, here is my recorded set from 'Sly Fridays' on Friday night — well, Saturday morning, to be precise — hosted at 'Slyfox' in Newtown. I played the closing set of the night: from 3 AM, right until closing time at six. Without too much of an idea of what I was going to play; I threw caution to the wind a bit and pulled out a selection of disco, house, some chunkier, deeper drum-driven stuff and pulled it right back towards the end finishing on an uplifting tip — much to the delight of some weary punters! In particular, I wanted to send out special thanks to Jackson Winter @jacksonwinter the mastermind of this Friday shindig: firstly, for booking me, and for the extended three-hour slot, which really gave me a chance to stretch the legs musically and rip out some wax that has been burning holes in my record box, itching for the right forum to play! You have an excellent product in this night — choosing perfectly appropriate selectors, bringing deeper — and sometimes eclectic — vibes right throughout the evening 'till late. It really shows that the tunes don't need to be tough-as-nails to keep the late-night hungry punters entertained! Shouts to the other DJs on bill, Donald Leicester @donaldleicester and James Cripps @jamescrippsmusic! I personally had a lovely time playing for the incredibly receptive "silent disco" crowd, bringing in Saturday morning! Hope you enjoy the set as much! x --- : Tracklisting: 01 : DJ W!ld - 'News Z' (Original Mix) [Resonance Records] 02 : Jad & The Ladyboy ft. The Army won’t admit, however, to spraying outside their testing area, and rely on soil samples taken in 1994 to show how the areas are clean but they likely don’t include all the areas that were sprayed. Camp Crockett, located in Fort Gordon, Georgia, was used as a training ground in the late 1960’s, which may have resulted in many veterans with disabilities due to Agent Orange exposure. From January 1967 to the end of December 1969, the Army was using Camp Crockett as a testing ground for Agent Orange, Agent Blue, and Agent White. Helicopters sprayed the toxins all over a 98-acre spread between “Highway 221 on the west and the artillery range to the east.” Pictures were uncovered of soldiers bathing in a stream fed by Leitner Lake, which is “within a 6 to 8 square mile area” of where toxic mists could have drifted.
