This week we have Francois on the podcast talking about a wide variety of sports that he has competed and participated in. In all aspects, he seems to be a man of movement and he is constantly on the search for new ways he can add movement to his life. From freestyle kayaking, rock climbing, and silk ropes Francois seems to be willing to basically do whatever he sets his mind to. Episode 12 of the “What's Your Why Podcast” with Wes Plate is out now. He is a wild man and a savage model of what the human body can do. He regularly runs 200+ mile races. And is shooting to run 4 of them this running season. He is a videographer and has passionately pursued this since he was in early high school. Throughout the interview, I admired the determination and focus he has had with the activities and passions he pursues. When he sets his mind on something it seems that that is all that matters until the task is complete. In the interview, we see this with both running and his career. On top of all that he shares some great stories about growing up, coming into videography, and his path to becoming a savage ultra runner. Chris Deal (@chrisdealios) is a local rock climber here in Fargo. He is a co-owner of @fargoclimbing and has been involved with rock climbing for around 10 years now. He is the best climber I have ever seen in person and am jealous of his moves on the bouldering wall. In this podcast, we discuss his journey in climbing from being a child knowing that climbing is what he wanted to do whether it was rocks or trees. To him opening a gym here in Fargo. Beyond that, we talked about training strategy and how to break into the sport as a newbie like myself. This episode is a recap of my attempt at the Maah Daah Hey Trail Ultramarathon from this past weekend. Troy is my friend and brother-in-law so he helped crew me for the race and joined me on the trail for the last section I attempted that day. The race brought me to death's door and I am very happy to be alive.
