We have just wrapped up the story of Dwight Bergeron who has served over 30 years of his three life sentences for what the authorities say was his crime of sexual assualt against his own children. I crime he and those children, now adults say he didn't commit. Today I sit down with one of Dwights kids to see what he remembers from all those years ago.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the sweltering bayous of southern Louisiana, Dwight “Jerome” Bergeron grew up hard. As a boy, he trapped raccoons, muskrats, and nutria for pocket money, learning survival before he ever learned opportunity. He left school in the 11th grade, trained in plumbing at Vo-Tech, and once dreamed of repairing helicopters in the Army, a dream that died when his recruiter told him his certificate wasn't enough.Instead, Dwight built a life for himself and his children on the bayou. But in the early 1990s, everything changed. His kids were removed from his home and placed with adoptive parents. Soon after, accusations surfaced, claims that Dwight had harmed the very children he loved. There was no physical evidence. Medical exams were inconclusive. But the state had some powerful words from his own children, testimony that was enough to secure his conviction.Dwight was sentenced to life, while his partner Angela, under intense pressure from prosecutors, took a plea deal she said was forced upon her. Both went to prison. Now, decades later, the children, now adults, have spoken. In sworn statements and letters, they insist their father never harmed them, that they were manipulated as kids, and that their testimony was built on lies told to keep them from returning home.Dwight has spent his life behind bars maintaining his innocence, while his children fight to clear his name.Echoes from the Bayou is the story of a man condemned on the word of children, the family torn apart, and the haunting possibility that Louisiana's justice system got it wrong. One Minute Remaining LIVE in Melbourne get your tix now EARLY AND AD FREE ACCESS: for as little as $1.69 a week!Apple + HERE Patreon and find us on Facebook here. Motivation and Inspiration Interviews with Professor of Perseverances
Cheri Bergeron a woman on a mission—literally. She traded boardrooms for baby dreams when she realized the traditional “happily ever after” wasn't going to show up. Her ten-year path to motherhood was anything but linear: it spanned foster parenting, multiple rounds of IVF, donor conception, genetic defects, premature birth, and child loss. After bringing her two children into the world and thinking the trauma was behind her, she faced an unexpected battle: a precedent-setting Texas Family Court case. Her estranged husband of seven years sued to be recognized as the legal father of her son. Carl and Mike get back into some Falcons talk as they react to Raheem Morris stating they have not ruled out moving Matthew Bergeron to tackle if they have to do so to which Carl dubs as a "break glass in case" situation and Mike adding that if they do go that direction, it signals their current backup situation is not something they are going to be comfortable with. They then get in other NFL headlines including Travis Hunter being expected to play in Jaguars season opener as he has been dealing with an upper body injury and Tyreek Hill returning to Dolphins practice after dealing with an oblique injury.

Carl and Mike come back with more Falcons talk as they share more thoughts on Wednesday's practice as they note the various rotations of players throughout the team's scrimmage, agreeing that it was good to see some of the rookies being mixed in with the first team reps. As their conversation continued, they also noted how authoritative Matthew Bergeron was in having the back of Tyler Allgeier.
HR3 - Drake London & Matthew Bergeron have become heart of Falcons' offense In hour three Mike Johnson, Beau Morgan, and Ali Mac let listeners call in and give their take on if people should pay more for their clothes if more materials have to be used to make them, their favorite smoothie and smoothie place, if FaceTiming someone in public is okay, and they also take all of the listeners' Atlanta Falcons training camp related questions in the Wake Up Call! Then, Ali, Mike, and Beau let you hear Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson talk about Drake London turning into a killer on the field and that being the way he wants to be too, and talk about how Falcons left guard Matthew Bergeron is the player the offense turns to to get fired up. The Morning Shift crew also reacts to what Robinson had to say, and explain why they think Falcons' wide receiver Drake London is the type of person and player that every NFL GM and Head Coach wants to have on their team. Finally, Ali, Mike, and Beau close out hour three by spending some time with America's College Football Insider with On3Sports Brett McMurphy! Ali, Mike, Beau, and Brett discuss what Brett thinks about Phil Steele's take that Penn State is the best team in the country right now and are national title favorites, if Brett thinks Oklahoma could be a dark horse team this season, which team Brett thinks could be a dark horse this season, if this is a big year for Michigan Head Football Coach Sherrone Moore, why Brett has Georgia as his preseason number one team in the nation, and why Brett has the Dawgs as his national title favorites this year.
Atlanta Falcons Left Guard Matthew Bergeron talks about already being in the third year of his career, the continuity on the OL being a big advantage, his improvements as a player, the mental growth bering as important as physical growth, what Michael Penix is like in the huddle, playing next to Ryan Neuzil, fights in training camp, bring okay not getting credit, the influx of Canadian football players, and the battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

After just over a year in business, the company is already expanding nationally. How does it all work? Bergeron shares all the details on this week's Biz Talks.
In this heartfelt message, Blake Bergeron invites us to see our lives — and the darkness we face — through the lens of Scripture, science, and story. From Gandalf's glowing staff in the depths of Moria to the first light spoken into existence in Genesis, Blake weaves together powerful images that remind us: the darkness cannot overcome the light. Drawing on Ephesians 5:8–14, Blake shares honest reflections about fear, hope, and the calling to be light in the darkest places — whether that's in our workplaces, classrooms, or everyday moments that test our faith. He reminds us that even when we feel surrounded, our light — small as it seems — pushes back the shadows and invites others to see Jesus. Listen in for a message that's equal parts story, Scripture, and soul care — and walk away encouraged to keep your eyes open, your heart steady, and your candle burning bright.
