Joe Stolte is the CEO and co-founder of Daily.ai, an innovative artificial intelligence newsletter that designs, writes, and tests itself to cater to user preferences. He shares with Dan and Gord the ways AI is “eating software”—posing an existential threat to huge software businesses like Google, yet creating exciting new opportunities for entrepreneurs. In This Episode:Never before has a new technology been adopted as quickly and widely as AI.People are using AI passively without realizing it, but many are also quickly finding active, strategic, intentional uses for it.Investment in technology is often about placing bets rather than backing quality innovations.Entrepreneurs and venture capitalists are in a symbiotic relationship.Large software companies like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Google are having to shift their thinking around user experience.Thousands of talented tech workers have been laid off, which could lead to many simple, smart, easy-to-use innovations.Short-sighted, user-hostile thinking is an organizational culture cancer.News media being funded by subscriptions leads to giving subscribers only what they want to see, creating echo chambers and divisiveness.Strategies for growing an email newsletter: You can pay with your money or with your time—and either is fine. (Ads aren't “dirty.”)“AI is like a really, really good intern: You wouldn't ship intern work to the marketplace.” —Joe Stolte Resources:Learn more about Joe Stolte and Daily.aiDan Sullivan's AI newsletter is The SparkThe Innovator's Dilemma by Clayton ChristensenPeter Zeihan, author and geopolitical strategist

Frequent podcast guest and professional hater Aidan Sullivan is here to discuss the Minnesota ska scene. Along the way, we discuss how to break a 7-word alliteration c-c-c-combo, how Emo kids and ska kids were the Mods and Rockers of the Early 2000s, and how the video for Fall Out Boy's “A Little Less Sixteen Candles, a Little More Touch Me” was both the Citizen Kane, and the Bad Blood of its time. Live to tape from a hotel room in Bethlehem PA! It's our King of Trios special! Featuring guests Kieran Shiach, Helena Hart, Aidan Sullivan, and Chris Sims. We recorded on night two, so that's as far as our spoilers go. But we have a lot to say about Sendai Girls, Team Original Divas Revolution, Mustache Mountain, Missile Assault Man, Vlad Radinoff, Jigsaw, and lots more. Thoughts on our favorite matches and at least one that didn't work for us.

We've dreaded this day for a long time, but...at last, it she has come. With this episode, we meet that horrible spore, that famingo-haired freak, that father-loving war criminal...Chibi-Usa aka Reenie aka Mini-Moon! Nothing will ever be the same again. Chris and Jordan are not thrilled, but thankfully, Aidan Sullivan is with us--someone who actually LIKES the little fungus. PLUS: we reveal the winner of the complete set of Sailor Moon Manga provided by Kodansha!
This is it--the actual END of the Doomtree saga! The terrible tree teens, Alan and Ann, stand revealed...and both Mamoru and Usagi are captured and being drained of energy! Can the other scouts save them? No--they are useless this episode! But can they make it through some other way? Well, there are still 141 more episodes, so...probably, yeah. And we're joined by Aidan Sullivan to dig into the ROOTS of the issues.
Aidan Sullivan, expert cookie baker, is on the show to talk about Bring It On, the movie that made her bisexual. Cliff and Missy are basically the same character, this movie avoids the Janis Ian problem, the difference between teen movie dress codes and real high school dress codes, and Gabrielle Union is an immortal deity.
FIFTY EPISODES OF SAILOR BUSINESS! That's 1/4 of the way through all of Sailor Moon! Not counting the movies! Or the Musicals! Or the live action show! And what did the awesome creators at the Sailor Moon anime cook up to celebrate their 50th episode? Why a look into the futuristicest of all futuristic technologies: VIRTUAL REALITY! Chris and Jordan are joined once more by Aidan Sullivan for a trip into the future of gaming!
Welcome back, Trash-Piles! That's right, we're back in the world of people treating Usagi like dirt...but could it be because she is immature and not capable of adult relationships? Wait what--who would suggest such a thing?!? Perhaps this week's special guest, Aidan Sullivan, can help shed some light on the subject! All this, plus a talking cat monster, the relevance of blood types...and maybe another song!
This week, Matt's on Vacation and Chris is in Pennsylvania for Chikara's annual King of Trios tournament - so if you're one of our listeners who's not so into the episodes about wrestling, maybe you want to skip this one. For the rest of you, we've got an extra-sized two-hour episode talking about the entire event with special guests Kieran Shiach, Helena Hart, David Burszan, Gavin Jasper and Aidan Sullivan, with a rundown of every match, plenty of tangents, and a discussion of why Missile Assault Man blowing up a bus full of children in Zimbabwe is not the least family-friendly thing in Chikara continuity this weekend.
