Today's Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett, welcomed Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy, who joins Puck every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Also, Tim Booth of the Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree of FOX 13 drop by for their Monday weekly show, Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast. Jim and Puck jump right into the Seahawks miserable loss and continue to just shake their head at how bad the Seahawks offensive line is. It is without a doubt the worst offensive line in the history of the organization and you can't really get all that critical of Ryan Grubb or Geno Smith because they can't get to any of the plays they truly want to run because of how bad the line is. Despite the struggles of the offensive line, Puck and Jim did resist their bet that they made in the beginning of the season where Jim bet Puck $250 dollars that Sam Howell would start a game this season and not because of injury. Puck said he still feels confident in that bet, but he thinks the door is a little bit more open especially with the teams upcoming schedule. Speaking of that schedule, Puck points out to Jim that it's highly likely that they won't be favored in any of their remaining eight games. After talking about the Seahawks, they turn their attention to the Cougars, who will find themselves ranked in the top 20 of Tuesday's first College Football Playoff rankings. ESPN analytics gives the Cougs a 17-percent chance of making the playoffs and if they win their remaining four games, that figure jumps up to 34-percent. Puck and Jim are reveling in the idea that they have shot to make it, but also acknowledge that it wouldn't be realistic if it weren't for the schedule they have played. However, Jim is not rooting for the Huskies at all. Jim doesn't want to see Washington beat Penn State or Oregon, even though it helps the Cougars resume. He'd rather have the Cougs just miss out on the playoffs. Puck thinks Jim is officially crazy. Puck goes back to the Seahawks as Tim Booth , Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 join Puck for the Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast. Once again they focus in on the awful offensive line play and until that ever fixes itself, the team will continue to lose games like they did on Sunday to the Rams. They discuss the decision by Mike Macdonald to go for it on fourth down in overtime. Tim and Curtis liked the decision, Puck offered up an alternative and thought he should have trusted his defense more. What is going on with Connor Williams and why can't he snap the football anymore? How much is that now affecting Geno Smith?Speaking of Smith, do the guys ever foresee a scenario where Sam Howell starts a game this season over Smith? The final eight games of the season will be tough and you can make a plausible argument that they won't be favored in those games. Lastly, why has the team been so sloppy this season? That's a direct reflection on Mike Macdonald. Finally, Puck wraps up the show with “Hey, What the Puck!?” Cougar fans! Have fun with all the playoff talk. Revel in it. You never know who long it will last. The team has put themselves in a position this season to give themselves a shot. That has been awesome to watch develop!

Despite reaching the NFC Championship game four out of the last five years and making it to two Super Bowls, the 49ers have yet to secure a championship ring. In the third and final episode of the 2024 Know Your Rival series, we break down the 49ers' playoff woes, Kyle Shanahan's legacy, and what to expect this season. Will the Seahawks or Rams find a way to overtake the Niners and win the division? Can the 49ers overcome their history of choking in big games? We discuss many of the 49ers' offseason moves, particularly the changes on their defensive line. The loss of key players like Eric Armstead and Javon Kinlaw could be a significant blow, especially when combined with the aging roster. It was just last year that the Seattle Seahawks drafted center Olu Oluwatimi in the 5th round after a decorated senior season at Michigan. After starting two games his rookie campaign in place of Evan Brown, he's been the first-team center all throughout OTA's and the presumed starter heading into the season. But the Seahawks interest in Connor Williams and the sneaky signing of another interesting UDFA rookie may indicate the team's desire to replace Olu with a different athletic profile. I'll discuss. Historian and scholar Connor Williams joins Carl for this look at the Gilded Age retreat of the Adirondacks. A number of Gilded Age families came to this leafy paradise despite the dusty two day journey in an attempt to escape the city and recharge in nature. The Gilded Age saw the rise of the "great camps" -- extensive properties owned by families such as the Vanderbilts and the Morgans. While certainly not as lavish as their Newport cottages, these escapes still had elegant meals, fully stocked bars and dozens of domestic help to keep it all running. Great Camp Sagamore, once a Vanderbilt property, still welcomes visitors today on the shores of Raquette lake as it has for over 125 years. The Chicago Audible - Chicago Bears Podcast and Postgame Show
Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that free agent Center Connor Williams is expected to be fully healthy by the start of the season and will be picking his next team before training camp begins. The Chicago Bears have a need at Center. Should they pursue him following an ACL tear that ended his 2023 season in Miami? Later, we preview 1-on-1 battles in training camp. Which one is most compelling: Jaylon Johnson vs DJ Moore? Tyrique Stevenson vs Rome Odunze? We discuss. Also, Justin Fields has failed to stand out at Steelers camp while Russell Wilson has excelled. Are they Bears destined to get a 6th round pick as the compensation for the Fields Trade? The Miami Dolphins are looking to retool their offensive line after a trying but improved 2023 season. Gone are Robert Hunt and presumably Connor Williams. Aaron Brewer is pencilled in as a starter — but are the likes of Jack Driscoll and Isaiah Wynn enough to claim the other starting spots? What does the combination of talent look like and is it enough? Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Between Connor Williams, Robert Hunt, Christian Wilkins, Andre Van Ginkel and others, the Miami Dolphins will need to be selective in which starters to renew in the coming weeks. What does the player pool behind these talents look like in free agency and how should that dictate Miami's approach to offering extensions to each? Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
