Ask Me How I Know: Multifamily Investor Stories of Struggle to Success
You're doing what's right — and still being misread. This episode helps you reframe misunderstanding not as failure, but as formation. You're not off track. You're becoming. You've clarified your calling. You've slowed down to recalibrate. You've made decisions rooted in faith and integrity. But somehow… others still don't get it. The silence, the second-guessing, the sideways glances — it all makes you wonder: Am I doing this wrong? In this episode of Identity-Level Recalibration, Julie Holly offers a powerful reframe for the discomfort of being misunderstood during growth. You'll explore why the brain confuses confusion with rejection, what “soul-level calibration” looks like in action, and how to stay aligned even when no one else sees what you're building — yet.Julie shares a personal story of leaving real estate to create ILR, as well as the enduring courage of Harriet Tubman — who stayed obedient even when no one understood her assignment. This isn't about being dramatic. It's about being faithful. This episode gives language to the loneliness of becoming — and reminds you that misunderstanding might just mean you're right where you need to be.In This Episode, We Cover:Why being misunderstood feels like failure — and why it's notHow your nervous system reads confusion as rejectionWhat ILR calls soul-level calibrationJulie's personal story of evolving beyond what others expectedHarriet Tubman's obedience beyond understandingHow to hold integrity without needing approvalA Micro-Recalibration to help you move without external clarityToday's Micro-Recalibration:Ask yourself:Where have I been waiting for understanding before taking action?Where have I allowed confusion from others to create confusion in me?Anchor this:“I can be misunderstood and still be in alignment.”If you lead, parent, mentor, or build — model what it looks like to trust the assignment even when it isn't affirmed.Others don't need to understand it yet. Sky is the latest person from the Central Florida area to join us as a guest. As some I've been following for quite a while, I was very excited to get to talk with her! We're covering some great fandom topics. We start off with talking about the music she grew up with. From Alt. Rock, Emo, and Screamo, to focusing on My Chemical Romance, we cover what Sky enjoyed and still enjoys to this day. We talk a bit about the MCR lore, along with the album she'd recommend people listen to if they're first getting into MCR. From there, we get to talking about Marvel. Sky's introduction to Marvel originates from a variety of entry points. From animation and comics, to video games, leading ultimately to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We talk about characters like Kitty Pryde, the Rogue/Gambit pairing, and some of her favorite MCU movies. Then, it's time to go to a galaxy far, far away, with Star Wars. Sky's entry point is one of the most unique ones I've encountered, so no spoilers here. You'll have to listen to the episode. We talk about two of her favorite characters - Bo Katan and Jyn Erso, and why they resonate with her. Sky talks about the various Star Wars media she likes, her favorites, and the wait for the Mandalorian and Grogu movie next year. Lastly, we wrap up with Cosplay. Sky talks about how she first got into Cosplay, some of her favorite cosplay pieces that she's done, including one where a cast member took a picture of it and shared it with the rest of the cast, and more. We talk about competitions, judging, and her future cosplay projects. In this all-exclusive interview, Tate sits down with Chase Walsh, the creative force behind Worry Club, to dive deep into the band's evolving sound, creative journey, and latest releases—including the introspective single “Anything Else” and the newly dropped “Little Fucker.” Chase opens up about the shift from recording music in his bedroom to working in professional studios, and how his surroundings continue to shape his sonic identity. Once dreaming of scoring films, Chase found his voice (literally) while singing in college bands—evolving from hushed vocals to full-on belting now that he's no longer confined to apartment walls. The conversation gets especially lively as Chase reminisces about performing at a packed Michigan festival alongside emo heavyweights like Free Throw, Origami Angel, Microwave, and Mom Jeans. The energy, he says, was unmatched—and the shared love for genre icons like Modern Baseball, Tigers Jaw, and Pity Sex continues to bond the band on and off stage. Since dropping their debut EP in 2020, Worry Club has been on a steady rise, gaining a loyal following with their emotionally raw lyrics and relatable themes. Chase shares how the band's music continues to be an outlet for him—blending vulnerability with catharsis—and how addressing mental health through songwriting helps connect with fans on a deeper level.
Hello, dear listener. I hope you've been well since I last dropped in to see you. You've probably noticed that I've been quiet for a minute. In short, life has been life-ing, and I've been being human. Many years ago I told myself (and anyone else who'd listen, haha) a couple of things: first, that I'd give music to the world until the day I die. That's a promise I know I'll keep. Second, that I'd always stay true and authentic as it relates to my artistry and I would never release music just for the sake of having something "new" up at the moment. The quality of my content is much more important than the quantity of it. So...I've been quiet, concentrating on being and staying grounded and nourishing my soul through some interesting times we're in. As they say though, there's always sunshine after the rain. Let it shine...Let's talk about music. Even though it's been spell since you've seen new content released by me that doesn't mean that I haven't been over here endlessly finding the most beautiful new music to present to you. Speaking of new music, wow. We are in such good times for music right now. I believe that because of the "tough times" we're living through that humanity at large is needing comfort and joy. That is showing up with a return to rich and emotionally-driven melodic music. You'll find the best of that here on this new set. Each of my sets fall differently as it relates to the ebb and flow of the energy. Sometimes the set will peak late, sometimes earlier. It's my belief that this set kind of peaks in the middle of the set (and that's OK!). There IS a cohesiveness from beginning to end, so I'm not concerned about where the "peak" is. But about that peak...wow. I have a string of songs that are epic masterpieces. As I sit and type these words I'm listening to that set within this set and I am covered in chill bumps. I hope you'll feel these same "feels" as me. Pay close attention to the set once I get to "Start A Fire" by Above & Beyond. After that I go through Coastlines "Everything All At Once", Aname "Hopeful", WhoMadeWho "Bedside", Topic "I Adore You" and Anthony Keyrouz "Young And Beautiful" -- all powerful masterpieces.Above & Beyond dropped a new album today, July 18th. I present two of the singles from the album (Start A Fire and Quicksand) because of how good they are and also so I could talk about the album. Go listen to it. Run. It's a beautiful collection of heart-driven masterpieces. Start A Fire is probably my favorite single from the album. Featuring Richard Bedford on vocals, it starts chill and low in energy and steadily builds into a hands-to-heaven emotional anthem.Enough with my words. On to the music. As always, this set was conceived and mixed with every ounce of love that I've got to give. From my heart...to your ears. LOVE.Artist/Title/Remix01. Gheist/Searching Places/Original Mix02.

Under the leadership of Andrea Herke Dahlgren, a grief recovery method specialist trained in Sweden and Los Angeles, the method has been taught in Hungary since 2009 at the Grief Recovery Method® Hungary center, both in groups and individually, to help grieving people and people who have experienced a variety of emotional losses (divorce, breakup, job loss, loss of trust, moving, etc.). Based on the feedback from hundreds of participants so far and the results of the research conducted at the center so far, the self-help method can be effective in processing a variety of emotional losses and in preventing physical and mental health damage caused by unprocessed grief.
