Step into another episode of Behind the Vinyl as we welcome Izzy and Toni of Glare into the interview room for an engaging and heartfelt conversation about their journey, their latest record, and everything in between. While some might say Glare “blew up overnight,” the reality is far from effortless. The band has been putting in the work, grinding behind the scenes, and staying focused on their mission. Their latest album, Sunset Funeral, released in April via the legendary Deathwish Inc., is a testament to that dedication. If there's one word to describe the album, it's “closure.” In this episode, Izzy and Toni reflect on what the record means to them, both personally and creatively. From the rainy, uncharacteristically gloomy weeks spent recording in Los Angeles, to the emotional depth behind tracks like Morning Haze and Guts, the album explores themes of grief, healing, and—ultimately—hope. The duo shares how their songwriting process is fluid and intuitive, often allowing songs to unfold naturally with layers of meaning open to interpretation. While much of Sunset Funeral channels pain and reflection, it also leaves space for light and resilience to break through. As the band finds their rhythm balancing tour life and creative cycles, this episode gives a deeper look into how they're staying grounded, inspired, and ready for what's next. If you haven't already, give Sunset Funeral a listen—or spin it again. It's a record built to stand the test of time.

The silence, the second-guessing, the sideways glances — it all makes you wonder: Am I doing this wrong? In this episode of Identity-Level Recalibration, Julie Holly offers a powerful reframe for the discomfort of being misunderstood during growth. You'll explore why the brain confuses confusion with rejection, what “soul-level calibration” looks like in action, and how to stay aligned even when no one else sees what you're building — yet.Julie shares a personal story of leaving real estate to create ILR, as well as the enduring courage of Harriet Tubman — who stayed obedient even when no one understood her assignment. Rock, Emo, and Screamo, to focusing on My Chemical Romance, we cover what Sky enjoyed and still enjoys to this day. We talk a bit about the MCR lore, along with the album she'd recommend people listen to if they're first getting into MCR. From there, we get to talking about Marvel. Sky's introduction to Marvel originates from a variety of entry points. From animation and comics, to video games, leading ultimately to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We talk about characters like Kitty Pryde, the Rogue/Gambit pairing, and some of her favorite MCU movies. Then, it's time to go to a galaxy far, far away, with Star Wars. Sky's entry point is one of the most unique ones I've encountered, so no spoilers here. You'll have to listen to the episode. We talk about two of her favorite characters - Bo Katan and Jyn Erso, and why they resonate with her. Sky talks about the various Star Wars media she likes, her favorites, and the wait for the Mandalorian and Grogu movie next year. Lastly, we wrap up with Cosplay. Sky talks about how she first got into Cosplay, some of her favorite cosplay pieces that she's done, including one where a cast member took a picture of it and shared it with the rest of the cast, and more.
