Me. I Am. A Memoir. The Meaning of 'The Meaning of Mariah Carey'
Posh and Fab continue their journey through Mariah Carey's cinematic masterpieces, landing on the timeless classic WiseGirls, which is neither timeless nor a classic. It co-stars Mira Sorvino, whose Oscar they call into question, Bob Moss the Mob Boss and The Other One (not a cop). Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Taylor sits down with pastors Shawn Stoever and Bob Moss to talk about Shawn's entry in the Summer Through Mark series.
After 36 years in the affordable housing industry, Bob Moss has a clear vision for what must change. He discusses that to meet the myriad of needs in housing, the U.S. needs to be more creative about finding sufficient labor and cutting construction costs. As National Director of Governmental Affairs for tax and advisory firm CohnReznick, he pushes the industry to embrace new, innovative ideas. Look to Europe, he says, where modular and stackable housing is becoming popular. At home, we should rethink the goal of sending everyone to college after high school — many could avoid debt and learn a successful trade in the housing industry. More housing should be built near transportation hubs for better convenience. The solutions are out there, he says, we must embrace and implement new solutions.
Can you believe it? It’s our 100th episode! Holy sexy times! Thank you to everyone who joined us on this perilous journey. We hope you’ll stay with us for many episodes to come. If you don’t, we’ll send a Bob Moss after you. Or maybe a juvenile bigfoot. In honor of our 100th episode, we are re-doing our very cringe-y first episode! Note: We’re not re-releasing the first episode. We’re completely redoing it. So sit back, relax, and let us tell you for a second time about the crimes that got us interested in lawsuits. Kristin starts us off with the story of Robert Courtney, a Kansas City pharmacist who was caught diluting cancer drugs. Over the course of several years, Robert diluted everything from chemotherapy drugs to fertility treatments. His horrific crimes affected an estimated 4,200 patients. Then Brandi tells us about the Tate-LaBianca murders, also known as the Manson Family murders. In the summer of 1969, members of Charles Manson’s cult brutally murdered seven people. They killed five people one night, and two more the next. The crimes were as senseless as they were shocking. And now for a note about our process. For each episode, Kristin reads a bunch of articles, then spits them back out in her very limited vocabulary. Brandi copies and pastes from the best sources on the web. And sometimes Wikipedia. (No shade, Wikipedia. We love you.) We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the real experts who covered these cases. In this episode, Kristin pulled from: “The Toxic Pharmacist,” New York Times Magazine “Jury Awards 2.2B in Courtney Case,” Kansas City Business Journal “Deadly Rx for Greed,” American Greed “Pharmacist Robert Courtney Admits He Diluted Drugs,” Kansas City Star “Prosecutors Say Greed Drove Pharmacist to Dilute Drugs,” The New York Times “Courtney’s Wife Pleads Guilty to Making False Statement,” Kansas City Business Journal “Pharmacist’s Wife to Give Money to Victim Fund,” Southeast Missourian In this episode, Brandi pulled from: “Charles Manson and the Manson Family” by Marilyn Bardsley, The Crime Library “Charles Manson Trial” Famous-Trials.com (http://famous-trials.com) “Helter Skelter” by Vincent Bugliosi “Tate-LaBianca Murders”http://wikipedia.org

Yellowstone Lake, August 2019 This show is a request for funding, a responsibility for which I am ill-suited. I’m not interested in marketing and promotion. I’m opposed to advertising. I’m against monetizing my product. I don’t want my stories to go viral, I want them to go fungal like the underground network of mycorrhizal fibers that connect the roots of trees and plants in a forest, sharing food and information, a natural internet of physical connections on a cellular level. I’d rather think of my audience as trees than as data points on a graph, I’d rather grow my audience by word of mouth than by click bait. Home of the Brave is 100% funded by listener contributions. Please donate a one-time contribution through Stripe (below), or subscribe with a monthly donation through Pay Pal (in the menu bar above), or maybe you’d like to shop for a very cool Home of the Brave t-shirt or patch (in the the menu bar). Do you like to LAFF? No one does it like Bob Moss! Bob is a long time member of AATH, a retired educator, and is a man on a mission. That mission is to bring more laughter, smiles, and positivity to everyone around him. We had a great time in this interview where Bob shares some his strategies for being positive but also how practicing something in your head can make all the difference when you’re in the mix actually doing it. He even got me to sing with him! Take a listen and enjoy (and try saying Hubba Jubba a few times….it’s just FUN!). More on Bob and his book can be found on his Facebook profile.
While there are many books that assist the viewer in learning how feature films are made, Bob Moss’s Vibes from the Screen: Getting Greater Enjoyment from Films (MCP Books, 2016) is particularly good at showing the artistry of filmmakers by presenting detailed examples from the best writers, directors, cinematographers, editors, and actors. In this handy guide, Moss draws from his extensive experience in teaching others, teachingseasoned cinephiles and casual viewers alike how to get the most out of the movie experience. This week we convene the fourth meeting of the Villain Appreciation Society, but sadly we're missing a few members so we're joined by Rob 1's co-host from Literary Loitering – the(very) ancient football sage known as Bob Moss. www.thegeekshow.co.uk
Michael Covel talks with Dan Collins of the Dan Collins Report. Collins was the managing editor at Futures Magazine for over a decade, and has talked with many trend following traders. Recently, he put out an interesting post on his website commenting on an article called "Quant Hedge Funds Hit By US Bonds Sell-Off" which originally appeared in the Financial Times. Covel and Collins discuss the article and other subjects such as why trend followers are speculators rather than investors; why the Financial Times article showed a misunderstanding of trend following in general; headlines and what drives them; equity-centric writers; why long term trend following is disrespected and why there is a bias towards higher frequency, shorter term traders; why keeping it simple is a good strategy; fees in the managed futures and options industry; "volatility value trading"; "style drift"; why quality trend following traders under the umbrella of "managed futures" allow some lesser strategies to "free ride" on their success; different time horizons in trend following; and why trend following is declared "dead" so often. Collins also shares his views on several traders (Michael Clark, Bob Moss, Bill Dunn, Salem Abraham, and Bill Eckhardt) with short synopses of their styles and trading personalities. Collins provides a wealth of information and insight and some eye-openers along the way. Would you like a free trend following DVD? Go to: www.trendfollowing.com/win.
