For over forty years, John Johnson (Simply Saint Nick) has been a character actor and historical presenter, notably bringing the role of Santa Claus to life in the most authentic way. His debut on stage (and as Santa no less) was at the age of six in an elementary school production of “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” Since then, John has gone on to study acting with the Alban Arts Academy in Saint Albans, West Virginia. He has also attended classes taught by such artists as Pam Chibora, Leah Turley, Sean Watkins, Adam Bryan, Marlette Carter, and Kelly Strom. He has performed regionally in such shows as “The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe” as Father Christmas (2011), “Miracle on 34th Street” as Kris Kringle (2012), “The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus” as Nicholas (2013), and “Adventures in Santa Claus Land” as Santa (2019). He has also performed the role on local television commercials and on various Christmas specials regionally. But it isn't his acting abilities that make Santa John unique. Rather, it is his great faith in Christ – the Reason for the Season. Yes, John has always portrayed the role from the Christian perspective which goes all the way back to Nicholas of Myra (270-343AD). Nicholas was the prototype of the Santa we know and love today. Santa John has studied carefully over his lifetime both the history and the traditions of the character that he portrays. His portrayal emphasizes service to Christ, love, joy, peace, and hope – the bedrocks of the season. Couple these things with the fact that Santa John truly loves children, maintains a jolly demeanor, and a deep love of the role and you have something special in him. The additions of real whiskers, custom tailored suits, and real accessories make Santa John someone to believe in. In 2023, Santa John even wrote a book about his life, his faith, and role as Santa Claus. It is available at Westbow Press, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Christianbooks.com. Working in healthcare has always been stressful but since COVID started it has elevated the stress and disconnect to new levels never seen before. For this reason, healthcare teams are currently at high risk and needing tools in order to survive these trying times. Laughter is a simple and fun tool for reconnecting teams, reenergizing staff, and reducing stress for health professionals in the workplace. Three separate studies have shown that regular laughter sessions increased Workplace Wellbeing by connecting people. It increases oxygen in our lungs by 25% which when distributed to the body cells improves energy levels and also to the brain which helps us think more effectively. And a 45 minute session of Laughter Yoga decreased participants' stress by up to 65%. A Sgori study on using comedy to make participants laugh and be happy showed that they work more productively due to improved morale. Carla H Brown is a dynamic force for laughter, levity and joy on the planet! A self-proclaimed, recovering serious person, Carla chose to seek out more joy, after experiencing an auto-immune illness, which left her temporarily paralyzed. This slowing down gave her the opportunity to be fully present with the fear, worry, self-hatred and suffering going on in her mind, affecting her body. The experience gave her a passion and joy for living life to its fullest, knowing that life can turn on a dime. The intention of her company, Living From Joy Coaching and Training, is to offer practices and tools to cultivate more joy in the body and less fear. Through her grief counseling, she offers opportunities to welcome the disowned parts of oneself that become emotionally abandoned and rejected, through the hardships of life. She calls this Emotional Hygiene, encouraging her students and clients to meet the cast out parts, tend to the grief, embrace the darkness and step into greater embodiment of love and joy, while releasing the habit of fear.  As a joy coach, grief counselor, health advocate and transformational teacher, Carla  offers therapeutic, dynamic and fun in-person and online events, trainings and workshops, focusing on cultivating more joy, authenticity and connection within.  Her recent claim to fame was winning the 2022 American Laughing Championship, and coming in 4th place in the world!    She facilitates weekly online laughter classes, GriefYoga®, and the popular Joy Reboot, as well as working with clients one-on-one to liberate fear and embody more joy. Her next class series, due out later this summer, offers group support for those going through health challenges, to cultivate more joy and resiliency. Forget flying, invisibility or teleportation – the best superpower to covet is humor. Jennifer Keith's superpower has been and always will be humor – in many forms.   As a certified Humor Professional and current president of the international Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor, Jennifer discovered the brain remembers two things – trauma and humor. Using her G.R.I.T. method of using humor to process trauma and loss, Jennifer finds ways to fix the funny bone and find the funny faster when surrounded by disappointing and upsetting events. If your brain is remembering the difficult times anyway, why not cushion them with a little bit of light, levity, and laughter?   Jennifer has degrees in English, journalism, theatre, technology, and educational leadership, proving that she doesn't want to nor should any of us grow up or stop learning. This published author and newly-TEDx'd speaker encourages you to take funny bone breaks – integrating humor into daily life, career, and family situations which can transform situations from barely tolerable to memorably positive.    https://www.linkedin.com/in/jenniferjkeith/ https://www.facebook.com/jenniferjkeithauthor/ Fixingthefunnybone.com Jenniferjkeith.com   Daughter - E.G.
