Jack shares a message about the song Build Your Kingdom Here.
Eric and Pastor Clay met up to talk about the new message series based on songs and specifically Pastor Clay's message about Luke 10 and "Build Your Kingdom Here" by Rend Collective. One of the things Pastor Clay eluded to was that the group in Seattle faced opposition to the kingdom-work they were doing, so tune in to hear more about that and what it means to knock the dust off our feet and keep doing the hard work of building the kingdom. Scripture: Luke 10:1-9 (GNT) Series: Summer Setlist Have you ever a heard a song so many times it lost all meaning? That almost happened to Pastor Clay and the song "Build Your Kingdom Here" from Rend Collective. Thankfully it didn't because of the songs connection to scripture. In Luke 10, Jesus sends out seventy-two apostles to proclaim God's kingdom to areas that Jesus hadn't visited yet. That call, despite its difficulties, is a call we live out today. The season of Advent triggers a deep sense of longing and eager anticipation. This time of year at its essence is about the birth of our only source of hope, Jesus Christ, who would go on to free us from sin and death once and for all with His sacrifice on the cross, and will return again to permanently defeat sin and establish His Kingdom here on earth. However, it's important to remember that during this season of longing and waiting, the Lord has sent you on a mission with all the tools you'll need to succeed. Listen to “Build Your Kingdom Here” by Rend Collective to continue your reflection time with a moment of worship. All songs mentioned in the Advent Reflections Podcast can be found on Mountain's YouTube Channel at MountainCC.org/YouTube or on Spotify by searching for the playlist “MCC Advent.” Mountain is one church with multiple locations. Come and be part of a community of people on the journey to discover more about Jesus. Everyone's welcome. Find out more about in-person and online service times and locations at MountainCC.org.
One of the last things that Jesus said before leaving this earth was, "Go make disciples of all nations." That still remains a challenge for us today - to let the world know about Jesus and how to find life and purpose in Him. If God wants every human being to have the opportunity to experience His grace, what am I doing to be a part of that mission? ___________________________________________ 00:02 Welcome / Prayer 02:43 Shepherd Confirmation 10:55 “At the Name of Jesus” 13:12 “King of My Heart” 16:12 “Cornerstone” 19:52 Communion 25:18 “We Believe” 27:58 Sermon 1:19:56 “Your Name” 1:22:13 Closing Comments / Prayer 1:25:28 “Build Your Kingdom Here”

Message from Friendship Assembly in Hawarden, Iowa
One of many struggles for the Christian as to the purpose God has for them in this world has to do with “what we do”. For so many their value is wrapped up in their vocation or work, whether they are a stay at home mom or they are an engineer or a trade worker. This episode takes on Colossians 3:23-24 as we discuss three questions: What do you do? Who defines the value of what you do? and Why do you do it? Enjoy brothers and sisters! In Preaching to Hollywood we listen to secular music and find a way to speak the Gospel in light of the song. In the Praise Song Cruncher, we find the level of mysticism in a given praise song. In today’s show, we do both. Preaching to Hollywood songs: “Carry On” by Fun and “Demons” by Imagine Demons. Praise Songs: “Your Grace Finds Me” by Matt Redman and “Build Your Kingdom Here” by Rend Collective.
