Ben Bevis joins today's episode with practical tips for helping your kids embrace their God-given identity, gifts, and vision. He'll inspire you to make more memories with your own dad and identify committed mentors for your children. Don't miss Ben's insights on healing generational wounds, modeling adventure, and strengthening your relationship with your kids.   Key Takeaways   Take advantage of opportunities to adventure with your own father while you can.  Intentional fatherhood begins with mending wounds and healing resentment. Help your kids discover their God-given identity, gifts, and vision. You can't launch your kids alone; surround them with committed mentors to speak into their life.  Keep adventuring, both on your own and as a family.   Ben Bevis   Ben Bevis is passionate about helping the Next Generation to live out their faith in Jesus.  He is the founder and Executive Director of Encircled. He is leading a movement to get Mentor Circles (Dads included) around young people across the globe. He loves being active in the outdoors and lives in Minnetonka, Minnesota, with his “fabulous” wife and three “amazing” teenage children.   Key Quotes   22:55 - "When we're grounded in our identity in Christ, we can live more freely as fathers and as husbands and as brothers and sisters. And then as we think about our kids being bombarded by so many different voices at school, in the community, on their devices. We used to always tell our kids before they'd go on the bus, remember, you're a child of the risen King." 29:00 - "The more we can help young people to really think of a vision and goals and then apply that to make an impact in God's kingdom, it's this beautiful process in discovery because you never know what God might be up to in our kids lives. That has been meaningful for me, God, what have You put me on this earth to do? That's what I'm doing with Encircled is the pointed vision for what God put on my heart. I want to model that to my kids and be curious with them about what what God might be up to in their future."   Links from Today's Conversation   Send a Voice Message to DadAwesome Send me the DadAwesome December 2024 Vision Mailing Make a Tax-Deductible Gift FREE Encircled Parenting Resources Become an Encircled Guide [for your child or one that you know] Access Encircled Resources Access the Encircled Personal Journey App  Partner with Encircled   Connect with dadAWESOME   Make a Donation to dadAWESOME Join the dadAWESOME Prayer Team Receive weekly encouragement by texting "dad" to 651-370-8618

How can we encourage our daughters to express their God-given creativity while staying rooted in their faith? In this episode of the Raising Godly Girls Podcast, host and AHG Founder & Executive Director Patti Garibay sits down with Nicole Stratton, Artistic Director of The Logos Theatre, to explore how parents can guide their daughters in developing and using their artistic talents for the glory of God. Nicole shares her inspiring journey of reclaiming the arts for Christ, following in the footsteps of her father, and how her faith has shaped her career in theater and the arts.  Together, Patti and Nicole discuss practical ways parents can foster an environment at home that nurtures both artistic exploration and a strong Biblical foundation. With so much of today's art focused on worldly values, this episode encourages Christian families to recognize the power of God-honoring art in shaping their daughters' spiritual growth. Discover how exposing children to faith-filled creative expressions—whether through theater, music, or visual arts—can deepen their understanding of Biblical truths and spark meaningful conversations about faith and creativity.  This episode also highlights the exciting partnership between American Heritage Girls and The Logos Theatre at the Museum of the Bible, where AHG girls can experience live performances, get backstage access, and even earn badge requirements. If your daughter is passionate about the arts, you won't want to miss the insights Nicole shares about raising a generation of creative young women who use their gifts to reflect God's glory.  Join us for this special conversation filled with inspiration, practical advice, and encouragement for parents seeking to raise Godly girls who boldly pursue their artistic talents while staying firmly rooted in their faith.   Learn more about Nicole's work with the Academy of the Arts Logos Theatre and buy tickets to a production at thelogostheatre.com  Find an American Heritage Girls Troop near you, visit americanheritagegirls.org      Add even more Biblical wisdom to your parenting quiver, visit raisinggodlygirls.com

Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.[b] 4 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. 6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. 8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly." Romans 12:3-8

“What's a certification? A certification is a credential that you earn to show that you have specific skills or knowledge. They are usually tied to an occupation, technology, or industry. Certifications are usually offered by a professional organization or a company that specializes in a particular field or technology. How can I earn a certification? Generally, you need to pass a test to earn a certification. Some organizations that offer a certification exam also provide related training. Or you may find certification preparation training at a local community college. Why would I want a certification? Some employers require a certification in order to apply for a job. Many people earn specialty certifications to help them advance in their careers. Earning a certification can give you a big leg up in the job market. It's a key item that hiring employers look for on resumes. Some employers may also require workers to have certain certifications. This can be true especially in health care or financial fields.” -https://www.careeronestop.org/FindTraining/Types/certifications.aspx --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/antonio-myers4/support

“Suicide prevention is a collection of efforts to reduce the risk of suicide.[1] Suicide is often preventable,[2] and the efforts to prevent it may occur at the individual, relationship, community, and society level.[1] Suicide is a serious public health problem that can have long-lasting effects on individuals, families, and communities. Preventing suicide requires strategies at all levels of society. This includes prevention and protective strategies for individuals, families, and communities. Suicide can be prevented by learning the warning signs, promoting prevention and resilience, and committing to social change.[3] Beyond direct interventions to stop an impending suicide, methods may include: treating mental illness improving coping strategies of people who are at risk reducing risk factors for suicide, such as substance misuse, poverty and social vulnerability giving people hope for a better life after current problems are resolved calling a suicide hotline number General efforts include measures within the realms of medicine, mental health, and public health. Because protective factors[4] such as social support and social engagement—as well as environmental risk factors such as access to lethal means— play a role in suicide, suicide is not solely a medical or mental-health issue.[5] Specific strategies. Social intervention In the United States, the 2012 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention promotes various specific suicide prevention efforts including:[33] Developing groups led by professionally trained individuals for broad-based support for suicide prevention. Promoting community-based suicide prevention programs. Screening and reducing at-risk behavior through psychological resilience programs that promotes optimism and connectedness. Education about suicide, including risk factors, warning signs, stigma related issues and the availability of help through social campaigns. Increasing the proficiency of health and welfare services at responding to people in need. e.g., sponsored training for helping professionals, increased access to community linkages, employing crisis counseling organizations. Reducing domestic violence and substance abuse through legal and empowerment means are long-term strategies. Reducing access to convenient means of suicide and methods of self-harm. e.g., toxic substances, poisons, handguns. Reducing the quantity of dosages supplied in packages of non-prescription medicines e.g., aspirin. School-based competency promoting and skill enhancing programs. Interventions and usage of ethical surveillance systems targeted at high-risk groups. Improving reporting and portrayals of negative behavior, suicidal behavior, mental illness and substance abuse in the entertainment and news media. KIB 408 – The Hijacking of Callings and Giftings Kingdom Intelligence Briefing   In the Bible, we find mantels, callings, and giftings from God.  Mantels are rare and tend to be multi-generational.  Callings and giftings can multiply through faithfulness, be lost through sin, and be hijacked by the enemy to use for his nefarious purposes.  We are in a season of taking back what the enemy has stolen and sanctifying them for divine purposes.   Dr. Michael K. Lake is the Chancellor and Founder of Biblical Life College and Seminary. He is the scholar-in-residence for the Strategic Remnant Learning Center – Biblical Life Assembly.  Dr. Lake is the author of the best-selling books, The Shinar Directive:  Preparing the Way for the Son of Perdition, The Sheeriyth Imperative:  Empowering the Remnant to Overcome the Gates of Hell, and The Kingdom Priesthood: Preparing and Equipping the Remnant Priesthood for the Last Days.  He is a popular speaker at national Christian conferences and is a frequent guest on many Christian TV and radio/podcast programs in North America.    Mary Lou Lake has worked side-by-side with her husband in ministry for over 35 years and is the author of the book What Witches Don't Want Christians to Know – Expanded Edition.

I know I'm not the only one that has ever felt less than or not as great in what I do or that I don't matter. And that's why I am doing this episode today.Yet another perfect moment of God telling me what I should talk about while driving home today. And it all came about on a verse I had read earlier in the day that really hit me.1 Corinthians 12:14-22, “Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body? If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything? But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. How strange a body would be if it had only one part! Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. The eye can never say to the hand, “I don't need you.” The head can't say to the feet, “I don't need you.” In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary.”I read it and started thinking about how so many of us need to hear this and understand why it's bad to exclude others and how important each one of us is to God and to the community & activities He put us in.We REALLY matter. We just need to believe this truth & trust that no matter how low we feel when measured up to others, who we are and what we do matters to the One that matters most.Let me tell you how this is true. Here are 5 big ways that God shows us how really important we are to Him:He Created UsGenesis 1:27, “So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”He Blessed Us With Talents & Giftings to Share With Others1 Corinthians 12: 7, “A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.”He Sent His Son to Save UsGod made the ultimate sacrifice to bind us to Him forever.1 John 4:9-10, “God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love-not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”2 Corinthians 5:21, “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”He's Always There When We Need HimPrayer is the key here. He is only a prayer away.Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”He Tells Us He Loves Us All the TimeJeremiah 31:3, “Long ago the Lord said to Israel: ‘I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.'”Isaiah 41:10, “Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”Support the showWatch the Video Version of RPG: https://www.youtube.com/@realpositivegirl/podcastsBuy the Planner on AMAZON!: https://amzn.to/3WwthT2Visit me on Instagram or TikTok: @sabrinajoyperozzoEmail Me: realpositivegirlpodcast@gmail.com

IT'S THE 100TH EPISODE!   YAY!  Thanks for listening in.  “The worst sin against stewardship is to waste your life.”  R.C. Sproul “The saddest thing in life is wasted talent.” unknownBut the master replied, “You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn't plant and gathered crops I didn't cultivate, why didn't you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.”  Matthew 25:26,27With the Parable of the Talents as our backdrop, today's episode looks at our we steward our time and talents.  It is clear that we are called to give an account for how we used what we were given.  This applies to money as we discussed last time.  But it also applies to our time and talents (i.e. giftings/skills) and using those in a God-honoring fashion.  Join Derek again as we finish up this BE GENEROUS series.  As always, you can reach this ministry at info@derekcharlesjohnson.com.

Hello! And welcome back. If you have been following along, you'll know that over the last two weeks, we have been covering the seven mountains of influence. My hope is that you'll be able to use this series as a tool for identifying your mountain or mountains of influence and be encouraged! Once you're able identify your gifts, you'll be able to be more intentional about using them where you are! Every person has God-given gifts. And because of these, every person is equipped to play a unique part in the body of Christ. Did you know the the Bible says this about gifts… Proverbs 18:16 “A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” KJV Another version says: “A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.” NIV Not only are gifts a blessing to the one who posses them, but they are a potential catalyst to bless the whole world. Talents have the potential to bring you before great men, set you on a stage, make you stand out, reach the masses, and maybe even bring financial blessing. So, what are yours? And what will you do with them when you discover God gave them to YOU, for a time such as this? Today we will be tackling the giant mountain of Business. On its face, business sounds a bit boring. BUT pulling back the curtain on it, I think this area can be one of the most exciting. Especially for creative people who thrive on new ideas. Idea people become entrepreneurs. And entrepreneurs are… well, they are business people! On today's episode, I'll share the story of a renowned Christian businessman named RG LeTourneau. His life is transformed once he realized God doesn't necessarily need another preacher, but needs people in business, too! And while we may not all be large scale business owners, corporate moguls, or even the leading role in someone else's company, we all have a beginning. A start. A calling. Giftings that can take us to the next level..and the next, and the next.. of whatever business you're passionate about. Perhaps you're an idea person. So? Come up with great ideas! Learn to delegate the logistics of them. Understand your strengths AND your weaknesses.. then designate those who are more capable of executing (if that isn't your strong suit)! Again, God doesn't give gifts for no reason.. and as Bob Goff says, “God also doesn't compare what He creates”. So don't look around at all those who have done incredible things and be discouraged. Instead, learn from them what you can, and incorporate your own personal skillsets where you are! The most beautiful part is that you (and many others) can prosper with purpose. Once you understand your work can be a type of ministry to God. You'll touch lives where you are. You'll reach those who may never be reached otherwise. Just by living and working in your area of business with integrity and Christian principles. The world won't be able to ignore the fruit that comes from your labor. So today, I pray this reminder finds you where you are and reminds you of exactly that. God doesn't need everyone to be preachers. He needs businessmen (and women), too. Just like He needs all manor of people to act as the body of Christ in the world..
