Being Bold and Owning Your Message with Brasko

Brasko moved to Nashville from Akron, Ohio in 2011 at the age of 19. Young, and without many connections, he spent lots of nights on friend’s couches or even sleeping in his own car. Now 25, and working with hit-producer Cason Cooley, it’s safe to say Brasko has made his own way to his own sound in The New Nashville. Obsessed with old Todd Rundgren and David Bowie records, Brasko incorporates all his quirky influences—like cabaret and Burt Bacharach—into modern tunes he he hopes will be the background music to your next night out dancing, falling for someone special, and perhaps even making love. During my conversation with Brasko we touch on topics such as: Sexuality How to respond to criticism Moving to Nashville It’s been inspiring to see Brasko craft a character that has a bold message to share. No matter how critical people can be about how you present yourself you should stick to your guns and go with your gut. I hope this conversation inspires you to do just that. Let’s get into it. Challenge We can all learn from Brasko that being bold and brave enough to not focus on negative criticism is tough but possible. I want to challenge you to come up with a mission statement for your music or project. What is it that you are wanting to accomplish and what message are you wanting to spread. Tell us what your mission statement is by emailing us at info@hearandsee.co or telling us on Twitter @hearseeco. Listener Supported Thank you all for listening to the podcast.
