"Shelters" If you think you recognize the name Josh Lovelace, you probably do. Lovelace's full-time job is the keyboardist of the South Carolina outfit NEEDTOBREATHE, a band he's been with since 2011. Lovelace is a busy dude, but the Tennessee-born musician has found time to not only play with NEEDTOBREATHE, but he's also put out a handful of spirited and charming albums for kids under the moniker Young Folk. There's no doubt that Lovelace's creative endeavors have left him satisfied, but another endeavor had been marinating in his brain for a long time and he knew it was time to put the shovel in the earth and break ground. The result of all that personal digging is Shelters, Lovelace's first solo album under his own name. A stirring 11-track song-cycle that's intimate, personal and deeply moving. Shelters is an unflinching look at the wounds of the past and the results are achingly precise and deeply moving. Filled with melodic finesse and interior harmonies and subtle pop immedi. Shelters is a quietly rousing collection of personal fight songs that reminds us the path to healing is always waiting. On this special episode, Trevor sits down with his lifelong childhood friend Caleb to discuss his pick of the band Needtobreathe's 2021 album, “Into the Mystery.” This is an album that speaks deeply to Caleb in its lyrics and music that touch on themes of love, coming of age, and spirituality. This was Trevor's introduction to the band and an opportunity to connect even deeper to a meaningful friendship with Caleb. The word “honesty” kept coming up in their discussion as these songs are uplifting and hopeful, but they don't shy away from the struggles that might precede these feelings. The album features artists Natalie Hemby, Jon Foreman (Switchfoot), and Carrie Underwood. Meet Tori Bolt — Co-Founder of Bolt Farm, a celebrated nature retreat in Whitwell Tennessee, offering 23 meticulously designed villas. In 2016, Tori and Seth Bolt embarked on a bold adventure, building their first luxury treehouse—an intimate project that began as a handcrafted wedding gift. What they didn't know then was that this creative labor of love would spark a new era in experiential hospitality. Long before the surge in unique stays and experiential accommodations, the Bolts were leading the way, crafting spaces that balanced the serenity of nature with the sophistication of high-end design. It wasn't long before their work caught the attention of Netflix's The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals, a feature that helped position Bolt Farm as a pioneer in the luxury glamping space. Seth Bolt, a longtime member of the Grammy-nominated band Needtobreathe, brought a unique perspective to the design process. Years of touring and experiencing hospitality across the spectrum informed the couple's meticulous approach to guest experience. The result? A collection of stays where every detail, from heated marble floors to handcrafted interiors, is intentional, offering guests a haven for rest, connection, and inspiration. In this episode, we explore: How their first luxury treehouse laid the foundation for Bolt Farm's success. What it meant to be featured on Netflix and how the exposure transformed their brand. The journey from a small collection of unique stays to a full-fledged wellness resort with a seven-day-a-week spa and curated dining options. The couple's vision for expansion, including discussions around franchising and strategic partnerships that maintain their signature level of quality and charm. Lessons from balancing bold creativity with operational excellence as they scale. Tori and Seth's story is one of creativity, resilience, and innovation. From their first treehouse to their plans for nationwide expansion, this episode is a testament to what's possible when you dream big and create with intention. Send us a text#8: Josh Lovelace (he/him) is a proud work in progress: whether it's quitting drinking to be more present for his kids, quelling panic attacks before stepping on stage, or just figuring out what he believes after a childhood of being told that there's only one way to pray. Through all this turmoil, he's had his touchstones, his shelters: loved ones, friends, and, of course, music. Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Josh — who also plays keys and sings in South Carolina rock band NEEDTOBREATHE — grew up making music. He discovered early on in life that writing music was his escape, his therapy, and also his best friend -- the thing that has always been there when he needs it.Check out the episode with Josh to learn more about his journey with sobriety, his relationship with music & touring, and more!Visit Josh's official bio page HERE and visit his website at www.joshlovelacemusic.com.Listen to Josh's new album 'Shelters' here: https://ffm.to/joshlovelace-shelters.Download his song 'Miracles' here: https://ffm.to/joshlovelace-miracles and check out the video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/ak3qGAQ1M5U?si=K6X0ll3M8HrwMhM0.Listen to ‘I Stopped Drinking Yesterday' here: https://ffm.to/joshlovelace-istoppeddrinkingyesterday.Follow Josh on Instagram @joshlovelace and check out his Facebook page at Josh Lovelace Music.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------If you or a loved one is experiencing a mental health or substance use related crisis, the following resources can provide immediate help.*If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please dial 911.- Dial 988 for the SAMSHA Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Jordan Soderholm is co-founder and chief growth officer of Ranger Station, an American heritage fragrance brand founded in 2015 with husband Steve Soderholm, and founder of Nashville Candle + Supply, a private label and custom candle manufacturing company established in 2021. A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jordan came to Nashville in 2009 to study marketing and fashion merchandising at Belmont University. During her sophomore year of studies, Jordan began a full-time position at ABLE, which was then a start-up fashion brand and social enterprise supporting women in Africa through the creation of leather handbags and accessories. She stayed with the company through graduation and for a decade, minus a two-year hiatus as an independent wardrobe stylist, working her way from intern to fashion director and helping to establish the global brand it is today. Along the way, Jordan was watching Steve dabble in candle making while home between gigs as a touring professional drummer. Her keen business sense and entrepreneurial spirit helped recognize the business potential in the hobby and she worked after hours to help Steve get the brand off the ground in 2015. In 2021, she left ABLE to work with Ranger Station full time and to take the brand to the next level. It was then that she also founded Nashville Candle + Supply, a boutique private label and custom candle manufacturing company with clients worldwide. Today, Ranger Station is growing rapidly but thoughtfully. Ranger Station products are available for purchase from retail partners across the United States, Canada and the UK, as well as their flagship store in Nashville's 12South neighborhood opened in July 2023. Ranger Station also unveiled its first artist collaboration in the summer of 2023 with Noah Kahan, the folk singer/songwriter from New England, to bring to life his third LP, “Stick Season” – a candle that sold out in a record 24 hours with over 1,000 people on the waitlist. Collaborations with ERNEST, The Band Camino, Lauren Akins and Thomas Rhett and NEEDTOBREATHE followed, with others in the works. The brand has been featured in Esquire, Cosmopolitan, Architectural Digest, Cowboys & Indians, Byrdie, WWD, Who What Wear, The Strategist, PEOPLE, Southern Living, Billboard and countless other publications. Aside from Ranger Station, Jordan chases around her two young children with Steve, and enjoys gardening, reading and styling through her Substack “You didn't ask.” and other endeavors. We had the pleasure of interviewing Forest Blakk over Zoom video!Acclaimed singer/songwriter Forest Blakk has released his new EP Undone (Love & Loss), available now via Atlantic Records. The 7-track collection arrives alongside a music video companion for the title track, “Undone”.Previewed by the touching new track “You Were Mine,” the EP also includes “Love Somebody Again” – both of which recently joined much of Blakk's discography as featured music on Netflix's Love Is Blind. Blakk's catalog has become somewhat of a sonic-staple, with him having been named the “patron saint” of the show by creators with the Los Angeles Times pointing out “(Blakk's) earnest mid-tempo love songs turn up on ‘Love is Blind' nearly as often as hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey.”Blakk has spent his career soundtracking love stories of all kinds, most recently including his own with “Love Somebody Again” and “I Choose You” – the latter having arrived just days after his Nashville wedding to Tooley Jones in a beautiful ceremony covered exclusively by PEOPLE Magazine. Both songs followed 2022's intimate and relatable Every Little Detail EP, having featured his breakout Platinum-certified smash single “If You Love Her,” which alone has amassed over 470 million total global streams, earned Blakk his official US chart debut on Billboard's Emerging Artists chart, his national US TV debut on ABC's Live with Kelly & Ryan, top 30 placement on the Hot AC radio chart & saw the singer/songwriter collaborate with Meghan Trainor on a stunning duet version. Meanwhile, Blakk's follow-up single “Fall Into Me” (co-written alongside Matchbox Twenty front man Rob Thomas and Gregg Wattenberg) reached top 30 on the Hot AC radio chart and Gold-certification status in his native Canada, in addition to being featured in a perfectly fitting ad campaign for Kay Jewelers. Highlighted as one of PEOPLE Magazine's “talented emerging artists making their mark on the musical landscape” and deemed an “artist on the rise” by Billboard, Blakk made his debut with his 2018 EP Minutes and follow-up 2020 sophomore EP Sideways – the latter of which saw Blakk collaborate with the likes of Will IDAP (Train, Florida Georgia Line), Nick Long (King Princess), Carl Ryden (Ricky Martin, David Guetta), Ollie Green (Freya Ridings, Gavin James) & more to tell a love story through an incredibly realistic and candid lens. The 6-track collection featured singles “I Wish I Knew” (deemed an “introspective look at love and love lost” by American Songwriter) and uplifting anthem of resilience “Put Your Hands Up,” which debuted on an episode of ABC's Grey's Anatomy. A compelling live performer, Blakk has toured extensively supporting NEEDTOBREATHE, Gavin James, Dean Lewis & earlier this year embarked on a sold out 17-date North American headline tour.We want to hear from you! Join Giuli, Sofi and Adrianna for a conversation about the Eucharist, the source and summit of the Christian life. How does the Eucharist reveal God's method? What helps us overcome our sense of unworthiness to receive Christ's love in this intimate way? How has the Eucharist changed us— especially as we face the crosses of life? // Our monthly challenge is to consider how you can participate in the National Eucharistic Revival, which concludes next summer: www.eucharisticrevival.org. And our media recommendation is the film Babette's Feast. You can also find Sofi's Advent playlist here: www.tinyurl.com/cbmstfrj or by searching “eternity in the rags of time” on Spotify. // Other resources we mention: - Pope Benedict XVI's encyclical “Deus Caritas Est” - St. Teresa of Avila's autobiography - St. Augustine's “The Confessions” - St. Elizabeth Ann Seton's collected writings - St. Angela of Foligno's collected writings - NEEDTOBREATHE's song “Who am I?” // Our theme music is Nich Lampson's “Dolphin Kicks.” We are part of the Spoke Street media network: check it out at www.spokestreet.com.

Today's quote is from NEEDTOBREATHE's song “Dreams”: That's why I throw my bones in the rhythm Sink my teeth in a good time Whole lot more than a feeling I could lose That's I why I brace myself every minute Trying to hold on tight for a good ride Fools like us are only here to prove You make dreams come true Amy asks the question: when it comes to accomplishing the dreams in your life, where there has been struggle, but you've preserved - what comes to mind for you? As a follow up to Amy's conversation with her friend, Jeremiah, last week, Kat gives her thoughts on the 7 Primal Questions: Am I safe? Am I secure? Am I loved? Am I wanted? Am I successful? Am I good enough? Do I have purpose? Kat's fiance did something to make her feel insecure when talking in his sleep which leads to a conversation about premarital couples counseling, keeping separate bank accounts, and interdependence (the healthy space between fully independent & co-dependent).
