I wanted to start the year off with chatting with you about the biggest lesson I learned from 2017, and doing what scares me by being Fearless in 2018. Before I begin, thank you to all who have rated, reviewed, and subscribed to the podcast in Apple Podcasts. You can still complete the Podcast Survey by visiting bit.ly/emmpodcastsurvey and you will be entered into a raffle for a $20 Amazon Gift Card. I love your feedback it helps me get an idea of what type of content you want to hear in the new year. Thank you to those ladies who have joined the Sister’s in Loss facebook group. I did not expect the group to grow so much after just launching it in November. If you haven’t joined the facebook group please press pause on this episode and visit sistersinloss.com to join in. There is so much in store for 2018 that I will get into at the end of this episode. Once again you can join us by visiting sistersinloss.com to be apart of the community. Now, lets get into this episode. What did I learn from 2017? I actually wrote an entire blogpost on the 10 lessons learned from 2017. You can go to EricaMMcAfee.com/Blog to read all of my lessons. But the greatest lesson I learned was that God’s plans are always greater than our plans. I started this podcast because God was pushing me to my purpose. I was being stubborn and not listening. But then the holy spirit will continue to bring to my remembrance 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Why was I being so fearful about walking in my purpose? Why did I not want to take action? What was I waiting for especially since I had “everything I needed” to take action. Let me tell you how long fear had me. My husband had gifted me a quality microphone and a new Macbook pro in Christmas of 2015. I waited until July 2017 to launch my website and August 2017 to launch this podcast. I cold emailed my first guest and the rest is history. Everyone has said yes of course I am willing to share. Yes, of course I’m ready to tell my testimony. Yes, of course I want to help other women heal from their loss. With over 1000+ downloads later God’s plans are always greater than our plans. So, what am I going into 2018 doing? Doing everything that scares me. Being Fearless. Living by 2 Timothy 1:7. God has given me the spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Not Fear! This episode is brought to you by The Honey Pot Company. Did you know that there was a black owned, plant based feminine care company? The Honey Pot companies goal is to educate, support and provide women around the world with the tools and resources that promote feminine health and wellness. I was first introduced to the Honey Pot company through a CurlBox body and received their 3 in 1 Sensitive Wipes. I loved them so much I had to repurchase. To learn more about the Honey Pot Company and to get a discount on products visit EricaMMcAfee.com/Honey for more information. Today is a solo episode of the podcast. This is the 17th episode to be exact. The numbers 7 and 17 are special numbers for me obviously because my birthday is on July 17th. 7 meaning completion and the number 17 meaning fulfillment and good fortune. It is also the day I launched my blog this year EricaMMcAfee dot com. I stepped out on faith and followed what God laid on my heart to share my story to inspire others to do the same. This is how the Erica M McAfee Podcast was born it was launched on August 1 and we are 17 episodes in. So, it was only fitting for me to go solo on this 17th episode of the podcast and for me to talk about the Power of your Testimony. Revelation 12:11 tells us that we overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony. 3 Reasons Why you Need to Share your Testimony! You are not a victim. You are the voice! God will heal your broken heart! Direct others to Christ! You can follow Erica on Social Join my mailing list to download your FREE Angel Mom Prayer.
