Unreal Tournament is coming back, and with it comes memories of The Matrix, Ed Edd and Eddy and a little bit of Mambo No 5. 1999 was a weird year you guys... On this episode... We Played... Lack of new games makes Euan go deep into weird indie. He starts to sour on Kentucky Route Zero, finishes rewiring Fract OSC and reads peoples brains in Stick it To The Man, with a dash of Hitman Go in there for good measure. Calum mines some asteroids to make spaceships in Survival Space Engineers, relives the bizarre story of Final Fantasy X-2 and falls off on Bravely Default, going from being one of the best games of the year, to one of the worst. In News... We talk about DOTA 2, The Internationals, and how this years Compendium might totally break the finely tuned economy of the game. Tomodachi Life gets same sex relationships patched out as a "bug", and Nintendo reacts both poorly then well in quick succession. Unreal Tournament returns as a free, community driven, moddable game. *heavy breathing* Zenimax wants a slice of the Oculus Rift pie based on the fact that John Romero jumped ship. It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that they now have some Facebook money to play with an Zenimax are feeling a bit left out of it. Not at all. There's a new Call of Duty coming this year (shocker), and it features a digital Kevin Spacey along with future guns and exo-skeletons. That terrible Early Access game Earth: Year 2066 gets pulled from Steam, and refunds are offered. Some good news comes Naughty Dogs way, with the lead animation director from Assassins Creed 3 joining the company. Driveclub gets a release date and a terrible "demo to retail" upgrade path that gets quickly scuppered after a community uproar Intro Music - There It Is - Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Outro Music - Honey Bee - Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) News Sting - News Intro - Maximilien (soundbible.com) All Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0

With E3 drawing near and some panic over first impressions of Destiny, Garnett dives headlong into the world of previews, what they're all about, and how much we really ought to read into them. Along with a deluge of listener response to Hearthstone, he offers up a good primer for anyone wanting a few starting tips to help them to success with Blizzard's addictive new collectible card game. He also takes another go at sharing the psychadelic music puzzle game FRACT OSC after having time to get reacquainted with it over the past week. Plus there are loads of new calls including the Call of the Week and a new question to get your take on for the next show.
Tomodachi Life might be the greatest video game ever created, and we have only seen the announcement trailer. Maybe it's not even a game? Maybe it's art? Maybe it doesn't actually exist and was all a wonderful dream... On this episode... We Played... Tomodachi Life enters our lives and our hearts, and we both hope it never leaves. Euan dives Tron style into a synthesizer in Fract OSC, can't decide if he should be disappointed by Trials Frontier and tracks down paper manipulating superheroes in the Infamous DLC To distract himself from revision, Calum goes back to older games by playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution, walking through his shiny spaceship in Star Citizen, and punching people with a human saxophone in Skullgirls In News... They actually found those ET carts in the New Mexico Desert Earth: Year 2066 gets Greenlit on Steam, and everyone wonders how such an abomination managed it. Snoop Dogg voices an announcer pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts, with accompanying cannabis leaf weapon camo pack. Sure. Civilization: Beyond Earth is announced, and is a new Alpha Centauri in everything but name Martin O'Donnell, long time Bungie composer is "terminated without cause" Star Citizen hits $42 million, adds towels Below, the roguelike from Capy is hitting Steam as well as Xbox One Transistor comes out on May 20th Johnny Gat will be in Divekick: Addition Edition Plus Xbox One hits Japan on September 4th Intro Music - There It Is - Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Outro Music - Honey Bee - Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) News Sting - News Intro - Maximilien (soundbible.com) All Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0
