Sarah caught up with her at the Team USA Winter House in Milan the day after she won bronze to talk about how she bounced back after multiple falls, the viral Instagram post that inspired support from athletes and celebs alike, how she dealt with the poor quality of the short track ice, and how one teammate is the perfect wolf to her fox. Plus, Geno Auriemma is tops, another “perfect” phone call from the President, and what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. What is a good game? What is a bad game? Is Go a good game? Well, spoiler alert, yes it is. Go is fantastic, I assure you. But why? Hmm….Overview of TGM (Tetris) TGM DocuseriesJoin the DiscordSupport Star PointThe Star Point Store
Let me be clear from the start: there is no such thing as a "good game". I know, it sounds controversial. After all, at the end of every year and often many times during the year, lots of people publish lists of the best games and regale you with how "good" these games are. If you're seen as the board game expert in your family circle or friendship group, you will be asked what "good game" they should buy or play next. Yet, "good" by itself is pretty meaningless - but let me explain.Read the full article here: https://tabletopgamesblog.com/2026/02/10/anti-good-there-is-no-such-thing-as-a-good-game-topic-discussion/Useful LinksPax Pamir Second Edition review: https://tabletopgamesblog.com/2022/08/27/pax-pamir-second-edition-saturday-review/Love Letter review: https://tabletopgamesblog.com/2021/01/23/love-letter-saturday-review/MusicIntro Music: Bomber (Sting) by Riot (https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/)Music: 4. God helg! Hosted on Acast. Moving from a pro baseball diamond to a Hollywood set is a rare occurrence. The examples start in the early 1900s, when vaudeville and silent films were a natural spot for sports heroes. The pattern continues all the way to modern Hollywood studios and the current media scene. We're going to examine the stories of nine professional baseball players who leveraged their athletic careers to start new ones as on-stage or on-screen actors. Some were fueling a second passion, some did it for survival after playing days were done, and some used their skills on the field to build legacies that still exist in Hollywood today. It's been a fascinating topic to study. If you're interested in learning more about the baseball to Hollywood pipeline, I highly recommend you check out:- From Spring Training to Screen Test: Baseball Players Turned Actors which is an ebook produced by the Society for American Baseball Research and edited by Rob Edelman and friend of the show Bill Nowlin.- The Hall of Famer Filmography assembled by the National Baseball Hall of Fame- The book Bats, Balls, and Hollywood Stars: Hollywood's Love Affair with Baseball by Joe Siegman.- Make sure to check out the episode about John McGraw to learn more about his life and accomplishments.Get Deeper Into the EpisodeSubscribe to the FREE Substack newsletter for videos, photos, and other content related to this episode.Liked the Show? Lynnell continues breaking down his takeaways from the Commanders' overtime loss to the Broncos, and this time he shifts to the defensive side of the ball. He says Dan Quinn put on a clinic last night with how he called the game — especially with his disguises and simulated pressures. Lynnell highlights how Quinn kept Denver's offense guessing snap after snap, using pre-snap looks that morphed after the snap and dialing up sim pressures that confused the protection schemes.
