Welche Katastrophe improvisiert Andreas? So I ran a PC only Patreon Poll, and The Secret of Monkey Island took it down. I have to be honest, point & click games aren't my jam. But this one is so damned charming it almost makes up for that. I can't imagine there's too many people listening to this show that don't know point & click games. Select commands like "open", "pick up", "use", and combine them with items on the screen to solve puzzles. I think some of the puzzles in Monkey Island a little tedious, but even with one eye I can see how people love this game. It really is funny, and the humour and clever writing offset the occasional frustration I experienced while trying to kill pirates with root beer. One good monkey deserves another, so my guest this week is my buddy Daniel (Stpd_Mnky). He likes this game more than I do, and while we made not have felt the same way about the sword fighting system or how to make a soup or whatever the fuck it is with the cereal, we had a good time laughing at some of the dialogue and puzzles. And we're still not sure what the secret of said island is... And before we point and click, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week, we HAD to talk about the Switch 2. How do those of us that dislike multiplayer games get into them? And I love Bioshock, but how do I feel about the sequels?? Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too!

The Secret of Monkey Island. The Secret of Monkey Island, one of the best loved video games of the point-and-click era, was released on the 15th October, 1990, without, it must be said, a great deal of fanfare. Inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland and the novel On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers, the game was a swashbuckling piratical adventure which – unusually for gaming of the time – put laughs above thrills. Despite its initially mixed reaction, it went on to become a sleeper hit that a generation of gamers took to their hearts. In this episode, Arion, Rebecca and Olly investigate why George Lucas wasn't putting his new video games division to work publishing loads of Star Wars games; explain why it was important to Monkey Island's creators that their main character couldn't die; and find out whether the jokes Olly found hilarious as a ten-year-old are still as side-splittingly funny today… Further Reading: • ‘The Complete History Of Monkey Island' (Time Extension, 2022): https://www.timeextension.com/features/the-complete-history-of-monkey-island • ‘What Is The Secret Of Monkey Island?' Fall is in the air.......this is definitely true here in South Carolina as shrimp baiting season has begun on September 13th. This is a tradition that most watermen live for every fall. The ability to go out and to fill a cooler with some tasty lowcountry delicacies and to actually be in control of harvesting them. It can be a bit overwhelming to someone that is new to the technique and we cover all the ways to have success while helping you straighten that learning curve. Our panel this week is made up of some of the guys from Trilogy Outdoors Radio. Capt Fred, Capt. Chris, and Tony the Bassmaster join Capt. E to go over all the steps at getting out on the water to cast those nets on the bait balls and will a cooler up. Firstly, we are joined by Capt. Jason Burton of Murrells Inlet Fishing Chartersas well as Capt Chris Regan of Carolina Hook and Fly Outfitters. These two were recently fishing an event on The Southern Redfish Cup down in the Beaurfort, S.C. area, They were both unaware of Morgan(Monkey) Island that is located in the barrier islands along the coastal region of Beaufort. This island has a colony of free-ranging Rhesus monkeys that were placed there in the 70's and now contain over 4000 in the colony. There are many that are not aware of this island and it's inhabitants, just as Capt. Chris and Capt. Jason. You can imagine the surprise and the stories that this produces when they start shaking trees and running to the beach to say hello or to warn you. Welcome to Dev Game Club, where this week we begin a new series on 1997's Final Fantasy Tactics, which took the series into a new genre. We talk about the game's presentation, basics, and technology as well as how the game begins.
