Little Stories for Tiny People: Anytime and bedtime stories for kids
SEASON SIX IS HERE! I am thrilled to share a brand new story with you after months of hibernating...er, daydreaming and writing. The Mistake Artist is my very first two-part story and I think you will love it. It features a little girl who is a bit of a perfectionist about her art, and a magical being who takes the girl's "mistakes" and showcases them as things of beauty in her faraway realm of magical beings. Tune in next time for part two of this story and hear how Em learns to reframe her mistakes as opportunities. If your tiny person wants to share a story they've written, please send photos or recordings of it to rhea@littlestoriestinypeople.com. I LOVE to see their artwork, stories, and anything else they'd like to share. BIG THANKS to the listeners who provided sound effects used in the story: AYDA, NORA, EMMA, LILY, CHARLIE, GABE, GEMMA, and ZACH! You can send me your very own sound effect! Just use the voice memo app on your phone, record your tiny people making a (recognizable) sound, and email it to rhea@littlestoriestinypeople.com! They might just hear their sound in a future story. Thank you to JIYU for helping me with the reminder at the beginning of this episode!!! Your child can help me too! Here are the lines: Remember, there are no pictures. You'll have to imagine the pictures in your mind. You can imagine them however you want. OK, here we go! Also, my book is available NOW. Find it here: http://mybook.to/littlefoxcantwait Thank you so much to those who have supported my work by getting the book! Bienvenido al podcast. ¿Me lees un cuento? Segundo episodio. Consíguela a continuación. Libro Esperando de Kevin Henkes A continuación, te invitamos a descubrir esta mágica historia juntos, ¿te apuntas? Happy Holidays, friends! This is not a holiday themed story, but it's a very sweet one about growing up and learning to set aside the search for perfection in life. ENJOY! I will be taking a break to write more stories for you. In the meantime, if you have a moment, please share the show with friends! They will be so happy to have easier bedtimes, peaceful car rides, and generally happier tiny people. I will be ever so grateful, too. If your tiny person wants to share a story they've written, please send photos or recordings of it to rhea@littlestoriestinypeople.com. I found this ridiculous character on Amazon through my friend Kaitlyn.https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AEKWZ4UQKGBNFDB65CGLGMI3625Q/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_pdp?ie=UTF8At the time of initial recording, he had 121 reviews and was under the identity of “Your Mom”. As of 9/21/2018, he has now changed his reviewer profile name to “Mike Huntertzs”, updated his profile picture, and added 30 more reviews. This is another fake name, but I am relentlessly trying to contact this guy. If you have any information, please contact me through the contact page:www.dogcastnetwork.com/contactMusical guest to close out the episode is Logan Freund, and he’s my Logan friend. What if you know something is OK, but someone else does not? What if you know something is not OK, but others think it is fine? What if someone offers you something that is OK, and they think it is OK, but someone else is confused and thinks that it is not OK? Can something be both OK and not OK at the same time? What do you do then? Most people are fine when the gospel says, “do not judge,” but what if the commandment also means allowing others to judge you? What should you do about the negative people in your life? We’ll give a little hint: St. Paul does not believe in the pursuit of your happiness, but he is is fine if others are happy because of you; even better if they are happy at your expense.
