E o horror veio! E como veio…Infelizmente não da maneira que deveria, com uma boa trama, personagens cativantes e criaturas assustadoras. What does it take to thrive within the notoriously competitive world of Sephora?  In many ways, Ilia Beauty is a case study in success in America's biggest specialty beauty retailer. The brand has thrived within Sephora for a decade and makes the retailer's No. 1 mascara, and Ilia founder Sasha Plavsic helped to architect the industry-leading "Clean at Sephora" program.  “Going into Sephora was really a game changer [for Ilia],” Plavsic told Glossy. “That's when the business really took off.”  But that doesn't mean it's been easy. “You have one shot, more or less, to prove that you can do what they need you to do,” Plavsic told Glossy. “If they're investing in you and giving up space for you to use, you do have to perform. … You have to be ready for the opportunity.”  Plavsic launched Ilia in 2011 in direct-to-consumer e-commerce and small beauty boutiques. In 2016, the brand entered Sephora and quickly became the "guinea pig" for Sephora's industry-changing Clean at Sephora assortment, Plavsic told Glossy. In 2022, Ilia was acquired by Famille C, the Courtin-Clarins family holding company and owner of the Clarins brand. Between launch and today, Ilia has also diversified its retailer presence to include Amazon, Credo, Mecca, Revolve, Nordstrom and, as of 2025, Ulta Beauty, which Plavsic sees as a separate customer from Sephora.  Cumulatively, Plavsic and her team have successfully navigated the challenges of a diversified retail presence and an expanding clean beauty landscape, all while maintaining their stronghold within Sephora. She sat down with Glossy Beauty Podcast host Lexy Lebsack to share Clean at Sephora's origin story, advice for brands looking to make it in Sephora and her perspective on diversified retail channels. “Growth can be painful, and I think, with [Sephora], it can be the most painful because they can probably grow you faster than anybody out there,” Plavsic said. “That is an opportunity that you cannot pass up.”

Francois d'Haene che vinceva UTMB nel 2021 in 20:45 o Xavier Thevenard che lo vinceva in 21h una decina di anni fa, non erano atleti meno forti o meno degni di Tom Evans o Ben Dhiman che hanno corso in 19:18 e 18:16 - su percorsi sempre leggermente diversi, di cui abbiamo perso traccia delle caratteristiche, per cui è difficile compararli.Semplicemente erano un prodotto della loro epoca e facevano il meglio con i mezzi e le conoscenze che avevano a disposizione. Erano sicuramente meno veloci rispetto agli atleti di oggi, ma l'unica differenza è questa, la velocità, che è conseguenza del fatto che lo sport è progredito fino a questo livello, non il loro valore sportivo. Di' la verità: quante volte al giorno dici "anche io"? "Mi piace il caffè." → anche io. "Vado in vacanza ad agosto." → anche io. "Adoro guardare i film la sera." → anche io. Sembra che "anche io" sia la risposta a tutto! Ma c'è un piccolo problema: se rispondi sempre e solo "anche io", il tuo italiano suona un po' piatto e ripetitivo. E in italiano, per dire che sei d'accordo, abbiamo molte più frecce al nostro arco! Smettila di Dire Sempre "Anche Io" In questa guida imparerai a sostituire il solito "anche io" con espressioni più naturali, più varie e più adatte al contesto — proprio come farebbe un madrelingua italiano. Vedremo come esprimere accordo in modo neutro, con entusiasmo, mostrare empatia e perfino essere d'accordo in una mail formale. Per ampliare ulteriormente il tuo vocabolario, puoi consultare la guida sulle espressioni per esprimere accordo e disaccordo in italiano. E ti svelo anche un piccolo trucco per non sbagliare mai più con le frasi negative! Parte 1 — Per Esprimere Accordo in Modo Neutro Quando sei semplicemente d'accordo con qualcuno, senza particolare enfasi, invece del solito "anche io" puoi usare queste quattro alternative quotidiane. 1. Idem Parola che viene dal latino e significa "la stessa cosa". È comodissima, brevissima e va bene quasi sempre nel parlato di tutti i giorni. "Sabato vado in palestra." — "Idem! Ci vediamo lì?" "Adoro il caffè la mattina." — "Idem, non riesco a svegliarmi senza." 2. Pure Io / Anch'io "Pure" è un sinonimo di "anche", molto colloquiale. E attenzione a una piccola trappola: questa risposta vale per le frasi positive. Dopo una frase negativa non si dice "anch'io", ma neanch'io (o nemmeno io). Per approfondire questo argomento, puoi consultare la guida sulla doppia negazione in italiano. "Sto morendo di fame." — "Pure io, mangerei un panino enorme!" "Vado al mare ad agosto." — "Anch'io! Magari ci incontriamo." "Non mangio la carne." — "Neanch'io!" 3. Come Te La usi quando vuoi sottolineare che ti trovi proprio nella stessa identica situazione dell'altra persona. "Studio l'italiano da due anni." — "Come te! Ho cominciato nel 2024 anch'io." "Lavoro da casa il venerdì." — "Come te, è il mio giorno preferito." 4. Lo Stesso / Anche per Me lo Stesso Comodissima quando si parla di scelte concrete, per esempio quando ordini al bar o al ristorante e vuoi la stessa cosa di chi è con te. "Io prendo un cappuccino." — "Per me lo stesso, grazie." "Io ordino la margherita." — "Anche per me lo stesso, ma con doppia mozzarella!" Parte 2 — Per Esprimere Accordo con Entusiasmo Quando non sei solo d'accordo, ma sei completamente d'accordo, magari con un po' di passione, queste sono le espressioni perfette. Per confermare con decisione che qualcuno ha colto perfettamente nel segno. È come dire "hai centrato il punto!". "Quindi dobbiamo partire prima per evitare il traffico?" — "Esatto! È proprio quello che pensavo." "La riunione è spostata a venerdì, giusto?" — "Esattamente, hai capito bene." 6. Verissimo! / Proprio Così! Per dire che quanto detto è vero al cento per cento e rispecchia esattamente il tuo pensiero. "Il lunedì è la giornata più dura della settimana." — "Verissimo!" "Viaggiare insegna più di tanti libri." — "Proprio così, sono d'accordo." 7. Non Potrei Essere Più d'Accordo! Un po' più intensa: fa capire che il tuo accordo è totale, al massimo grado possibile. Notare l'uso del condizionale presente ("potrei"), che dà alla frase un tono più sofisticato ed elegante. "I libri sono quasi sempre meglio dei film." — "Non potrei essere più d'accordo!" "Bisognerebbe dormire di più e lavorare di meno." — "Non potrei essere più d'accordo!" 8. Sottoscrivo! Letteralmente significa "firmo sotto", come quando firmi un documento in fondo alla pagina. È un modo molto espressivo, e anche un po' scherzoso, per dire "sono così d'accordo che ci metto la firma!". "Le vacanze finiscono sempre troppo presto." — "Sottoscrivo!" "Il gelato si può mangiare in ogni stagione." — "Sottoscrivo in pieno!" Parte 3 — Per Empatizzare con Chi Ti Parla A volte l'altra persona non esprime un gusto, ma si sta sfogando: ti racconta qualcosa di faticoso. Qui "anche io" suona freddo. Meglio mostrare empatia con queste quattro espressioni. 9. Ti Capisco / Ti Capisco Benissimo Comunica direttamente che comprendi come si sente l'altra persona. "Ho mille scadenze questa settimana, sono distrutto." — "Ti capisco benissimo!" "Da quando lavoro di notte non dormo più bene." — "Ti capisco, dev'essere durissima." Attenzione al Falso Amico con l'Inglese Piccolo trucco: non tradurre l'inglese "I hear you" con "ti sento", perché in italiano "ti sento" significa sentire fisicamente la voce! Per esprimere comprensione emotiva, devi usare il verbo capire, non sentire. 10. So Cosa Intendi / So Cosa Vuoi Dire La usi per dire che afferri perfettamente il senso e la sensazione di ciò che ti viene raccontato. "Quando piove non ho voglia di fare niente." — "So cosa intendi, succede anche a me." "A volte studiare da soli è demotivante." — "So cosa vuoi dire, capita a tutti." 11. Ci Sono Passato Anch'io / Ci Sono Passata Anch'io Molto calorosa: la usi per dire che hai vissuto la stessa esperienza in prima persona, quindi capisci davvero. Ricordati che il participio passato ("passato/passata") concorda con il genere di chi parla. "Cambiare città è più difficile del previsto." — "Ci sono passato anch'io, ti capisco." "Il primo mese in un Paese nuovo è dura." — "Ci sono passata anch'io, poi migliora, fidati!" 12. Capisco Perfettamente Una variante un pizzico più marcata, che sottolinea una comprensione piena e totale. "Sono nervoso per l'esame di domani." — "Capisco perfettamente, è normale sentirsi così." "Stasera non me la sento di uscire." — "Capisco perfettamente, riposati pure." Parte 4 — Per Condividere Opinioni e nei Contesti Formali Quando condividi un'opinione, oppure quando scrivi una mail di lavoro e "anche io" suona troppo casuale, queste espressioni eleganti sono la scelta giusta. Condivido / Sono Dello Stesso Avviso Le alternative eleganti per il lavoro e le mail. In una riunione puoi usare anche "mi associo", per allinearti a quanto ha appena detto un collega. Hai mai provato a riportare le parole di qualcun altro e non sapevi quale tempo verbale usare? Non eri sicuro se servisse il congiuntivo o l'indicativo? Il discorso indiretto è uno degli argomenti più insidiosi della grammatica italiana e anche gli studenti avanzati commettono errori. In questo articolo scoprirai come riportare correttamente quello che qualcuno ha detto, ha chiesto o ha ordinato. 5 Errori da Evitare con il Discorso Indiretto Errore 1: Usare il Tempo Sbagliato per Riportare Notizie (al Passato) Partiamo dalle basi. Che cos'è il discorso indiretto? In pratica, è quando riporti le parole di qualcun altro senza citarle direttamente, cioè senza usare le virgolette. Per esempio: Discorso diretto: «Marco dice: "Ho fame."»Discorso indiretto: «Marco dice che ha fame.» Come puoi notare, abbiamo tolto le virgolette e abbiamo aggiunto che. Fin qui semplice. Il problema nasce quando il verbo introduttore – cioè il verbo che introduce le parole dell'altra persona – è al passato. Molti studenti fanno così: «Marco ha detto che ha fame.» «Marco ha detto che aveva fame.» Perché è sbagliato il primo? Perché quando il verbo introduttore è al passato (ha detto, disse, diceva...), bisogna fare la cosiddetta «trasformazione dei tempi». È come se tutto «scivolasse indietro nel tempo»: il presente diventa imperfetto, il passato prossimo diventa trapassato prossimo, e così via. Resta uguale sia con il verbo introduttore al presente sia al passato. È una delle poche eccezioni che semplificano le cose. E nota anche un'altra cosa fondamentale: quando il verbo introduttore è al presente (dice che, racconta che...), non devi fare nessuna trasformazione dei tempi. La trasformazione si applica solo quando il verbo è al passato. Curiosità sull'Italiano Parlato Nell'italiano parlato, soprattutto nel linguaggio informale, molti italiani non rispettano sempre queste regole. Capita spesso di sentire «Ha detto che viene domani» al posto di «Ha detto che sarebbe venuto il giorno dopo.» Tuttavia, se vuoi parlare un italiano corretto, è consigliabile seguire la tabella. Errore 2: Non Usare DI + Infinito Un altro errore frequente riguarda la struttura della frase. Osserva queste due versioni di «Marco dice: "Vado al cinema."»: «Marco dice che lui va al cinema.» — grammaticalmente corretto, ma pesante «Marco dice di andare al cinema.» — molto più naturale! Quando il soggetto della frase principale è lo stesso della frase secondaria, in italiano si preferisce usare la struttura DI + infinito. Il motivo è che suona molto più naturale e meno ripetitivo. Anziché dire «Marco dice che lui va al cinema» ripetendo il soggetto, è più elegante e scorrevole dire «Marco dice di andare al cinema». Tabella: CHE + Indicativo vs DI + Infinito Soggetto diverso → CHE + verbo coniugatoStesso soggetto → DI + infinito«Marco dice che Maria va al cinema.»«Marco dice di andare al cinema.»«Luca ha detto che Giulia era stanca.»«Luca ha detto di essere stanco.»«Anna dice che Paolo ha ragione.»«Anna dice di avere ragione.»«Il prof ha detto che gli studenti devono studiare.»«Il prof ha detto di dover studiare.» (ambiguo!) Osserva l'ultimo esempio: «Il prof ha detto di dover studiare» è un po' ambiguo, perché potrebbe sembrare che sia il professore a dover studiare. In casi come questo, dove il significato potrebbe non essere chiaro, è meglio usare la forma completa con CHE: «Il prof ha detto che gli studenti devono studiare.» Attenzione: Infinito Presente e Passato Quando usi DI + infinito con il verbo introduttore al passato, l'infinito può essere presente o passato. Se l'azione riportata è anteriore rispetto al momento in cui è stata detta, usa l'infinito passato: «Marco ha detto di aver studiato tutta la notte.» Curiosità sull'Uso di DI + Infinito In realtà, l'uso di DI + infinito non è obbligatorio, ma è fortemente preferito dai madrelingua. Se dici «Marco dice che lui va al cinema», gli italiani ti capiranno, ma la frase risulterà poco naturale. Errore 3: Dimenticare il Congiuntivo per Riportare Domande Questo è un errore molto diffuso, comune anche tra i madrelingua. Quando riporti una domanda in modo indiretto, è necessario usare il congiuntivo. Vediamo perché: Domanda diretta: «Vieni alla festa?» «Mi ha chiesto se vengo alla festa.» «Mi ha chiesto se venissi alla festa.» Dopo espressioni come chiede se / ha chiesto se / voleva sapere se, il verbo che segue deve essere al congiuntivo (quando il verbo introduttore è al passato). Questo vale sia per le domande con risposta sì/no, sia per le domande aperte con parole interrogative come dove, quando, come, perché, eccetera. Un'altra cosa importante da ricordare: nel passaggio dal discorso diretto a quello indiretto, il punto interrogativo sparisce, perché non stai più facendo una domanda, ma stai riferendo che qualcuno ha fatto una domanda. L'unica differenza è che le domande con risposta sì/no vengono introdotte dalla parola SE: «Vieni alla festa?» → «Ha chiesto se venissi alla festa.» Nota anche che, come per l'Errore 1, quando il verbo introduttore è al presente (chiede se...), non c'è bisogno del congiuntivo: si usa normalmente l'indicativo. Il congiuntivo entra in gioco quando il verbo è al passato (ha chiesto se...). Hai notato la quarta riga della tabella? «Quando arriverai» non diventa congiuntivo, ma condizionale passato (sarei arrivato). Questo perché il futuro segue sempre la stessa regola che abbiamo visto nell'Errore 1: futuro → condizionale passato, sia nelle affermazioni sia nelle domande. Curiosità sull'Italiano Informale Nella lingua parlata informale, molti italiani usano l'indicativo anche dopo «ha chiesto se». Capita spesso di sentire «Mi ha chiesto se venivo». Non è scorretto in senso assoluto, ma il congiuntivo resta la forma più corretta e adatta a un registro curato. Errore 4: Non Usare il Congiuntivo per Riportare Ordini Come si riportano gli ordini o le richieste in modo indiretto? Anche in questo caso entra in gioco il congiuntivo. Ordine diretto: «Studia di più!» «Il professore ha detto che studio di più.» «Il professore ha detto che io studi di più.»; «Il professore mi ha detto di studiare di più.» Come puoi notare, per riportare ordini, richieste o consigli hai due possibilità: puoi usare CHE + congiuntivo oppure DI + infinito. Entrambe le forme sono corrette, ma hanno usi leggermente diversi. Nel discorso indiretto, anche i verbi di movimento cambiano prospettiva: venire (verso chi parla) diventa andare (lontano da chi parla), proprio come «qui» diventa «lì». Si tratta di un cambiamento di punto di vista. DI + Infinito vs CHE + Congiuntivo nella Vita Quotidiana Nella vita di tutti i giorni, la forma con DI + infinito è di gran lunga la più usata perché è più semplice e diretta. La forma con CHE + congiuntivo è più formale e la troverai soprattutto nella lingua scritta o in contesti ufficiali. È comunque importante conoscerle entrambe per scegliere quella giusta a seconda della situazione. Attenzione alla Negazione Con la negazione, fai molta attenzione all'ordine delle parole. Il «non» va dopo «di» e prima dell'infinito: «Mi ha detto di non fumare.» L'errore tipico è dire «Mi ha detto non di fumare», che in italiano suona completamente sbagliato. Errore 5: Non Fare le Altre Trasformazioni A questo punto hai imparato a cambiare i tempi verbali, a usare DI + infinito, il congiuntivo per domande e ordini... ma manca ancora un pezzo importante. Nel discorso indiretto non cambiano solo i verbi: cambiano anche i prono

A muoverla è un'idea romantica della ricerca e delle vite che avrebbe potuto contribuire a salvare.Con il tempo, però, quel sogno si ridimensiona. Il lavoro in laboratorio richiede moltissime ore e sacrifici, ma non le permette di costruire l'autonomia che cercava. Da postdoc guadagna 27 mila euro lordi l'anno, continua a vivere in una casa condivisa e non riesce a immaginare un futuro diverso.
