To find richness in a simple way of living. To be inventive, self-reliant, curious, searching. To find ways to do the most with the least. To never make money the goal. To share what I have with those who have less. To value ideals. To always try to live up to them and never count the cost of standing up for convictions. To value the friendship of shared commitments. To be in awe of the incredible intricacies and order of the universe… the rhythms of the sun and the moon and the seasons, the blossoming earth, the waters and the mountains and deserts and stars, the marvel of a human body or the architecture of a flower. To find the divine in the profoundness of the cosmos and in the struggles and joys of the human heart. To be responsible for my part to preserve our planet—the earth, the plants, the animals, air, water. To fight for the rights of people to be free of terror… To take part in this responsibility even when I feel afraid, or inadequate or in jeopardy. To feel richness in each stage of life and to always search for beauty. To feel the flow of music in every creative act. To never be afraid of emotion, to use it richly, responsibly and creatively. To value above all the love that is shared in its fullness. To treasure memories of shared love and respect and to never be afraid if there is pain as well as joy in reliving them.

Scopriamoli insieme e impariamo come evitarli definitivamente. Non commettere più questi 5 ERRORI IN ITALIANO! Errore #1: "FA SENSO" - L'Influenza dell'Inglese ❌ SBAGLIATO: "Questo fa senso"✅ CORRETTO: "Questo ha senso" Perché è sbagliato? La confusione nasce dall'influenza dell'inglese "it makes sense".

16 And one of the multitude, answering, said: Master, I have brought my son to thee, having a dumb spirit.Et respondens unus de turba, dixit : Magister, attuli filium meum ad te habentem spiritum mutum : 17 Who, wheresoever he taketh him, dasheth him, and he foameth, and gnasheth with the teeth, and pineth away; and I spoke to thy disciples to cast him out, and they could not.qui ubicumque eum apprehenderit, allidit illum, et spumat, et stridet dentibus, et arescit : et dixi discipulis tuis ut ejicerent illum, et non potuerunt. 18 Who answering them, said: O incredulous generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.Qui respondens eis, dixit : O generatio incredula, quamdiu apud vos ero? quamdiu vos patiar? afferte illum ad me. 19 And they brought him. And when he had seen him, immediately the spirit troubled him; and being thrown down upon the ground, he rolled about foaming. 20 And he asked his father: How long time is it since this hath happened unto him? But he said: From his infancy:Et interrogavit patrem ejus : Quantum temporis est ex quo ei hoc accidit? At ille ait : Ab infantia : 21 And oftentimes hath he cast him into the fire and into waters to destroy him. But if thou canst do any thing, help us, having compassion on us.et frequenter eum in ignem, et in aquas misit ut eum perderet : sed si quid potes, adjuva nos, misertus nostri. 22 And Jesus saith to him: If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 23 And immediately the father of the boy crying out, with tears said: I do believe, Lord: help my unbelief. 24 And when Jesus saw the multitude running together, he threatened the unclean spirit, saying to him: Deaf and dumb spirit, I command thee, go out of him; and enter not any more into him. 25 And crying out, and greatly tearing him, he went out of him, and he became as dead, so that many said: He is dead. 26 But Jesus taking him by the hand, lifted him up; and he arose. 27 And when he was come into the house, his disciples secretly asked him: Why could not we cast him out? 28 And he said to them: This kind can go out by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.Et dixit illis : Hoc genus in nullo potest exire, nisi in oratione et jejunioThe September Ember Days are found in the Roman Missal after the seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost. At the present time, they fall always after the third Sunday in September. (Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross). This date nearly coincides with the end of summer, which for the ancients was the 12th of September, and with the opening of autumn on September 13th. The Ember Days of winter, spring and summer do not coincide so exactly with the beginning of the respective seasons. The Blessed Virgin Mary by repeated visions inspired St Peter Nolasco and St Raymond of Pennafort to found with the aid of King James of Aragon the Order of Our Lady of Ransom for the redemption of Christian captives from the infidels. The Church commorates today this incomparable work of charity.

Many skilled professionals working within creative fields are unhappy about how AI is impacting their industry. They want to protect their work and the creative process from artificial intelligence because of fears over things like job protection, devaluation of skills, and a loss of control over their work. Some small and medium-sized companies in other industries also say they plan to never use AI technology. We discuss why that is, and ask whether those businesses that don't embrace the technology may fall behind. If you'd like to get in touch with the programme, send us an email to businessdaily@bbc.co.ukPresented and produced by Hannah Mullane(Picture: Actress and filmmaker Justine Bateman, who runs the CREDO 23 film festival, which is billed as a non-AI event, in Los Angeles, California. In this week's conversation between Dr. James Emery White and co-host Alexis Drye, they dive into the Nicene Creed, as this year marks its 1700th anniversary. As the early church absolutely exploded in growth - from about 7,500 followers in A.D. 100 to around 30 million by A.D. 310 - the challenge and question facing them was this: How would they stay united? How would this fast-growing, quickly expanding movement remain unified in vision and values, mission and purpose? The answer became clear, and led to the Nicene Creed being written in A.D. 325 by the Council of Nicaea. Episode Links Modern-day churches are increasingly turning to the words of this ancient creed to ground themselves in the foundations of the Christian faith. In fact, Daniel Silliman recently wrote an article in Christianity Today titled, “How the Nicene Creed Became Cool Again” that you may be interested in reading. In honor of the Nicene Creed's 1700th anniversary, Dr. White recently kicked off a series at Mecklenburg Community Church titled “Credo,” which is the Latin word for creed. If you're interested in checking out this series, you can find it HERE. It's particularly important in our world today to ground the church in the words of the creed, especially in light of the findings of the most recent “State of Theology” survey showing that culturally, there has been a significant lapse in our understanding of what it means to be a Christian - among Christians. You can find that study HERE. Finally, if you are interested in doing some additional study about the Nicene Creed, there are a few books that we would recommend on this topic: Mark Noll, Turning Points; Phillip Cary, The Nicene Creed; Jared Ortiz and Daniel A. Keating, The Nicene Creed; and J.N.D. Kelly, Early Christian Doctrines. At the EUVC Summit 2025, the Firm of the Year award didn't go to a household name—or a partner of the presenter. It went to a firm that's quietly built one of the most impactful portfolios in European venture over the past decade:Credo Ventures – winner of this year's Firm of the Year Award. And the irony? They didn't see it coming.“I never really liked awards like this… but maybe I'm ready to reconsider.”Credo Ventures' rise hasn't always been center stage. Based in Central and Eastern Europe, they've long bet on founders and ecosystems that many in mainstream venture overlooked. But the results speak for themselves—category-defining companies, global expansion stories, and a consistent track record of backing ambitious founders early.“Maybe having such an award can be a new KPI for us—right next to DPI.”The Credo team kept the moment light, thanking not just their founders and LPs—but even the investors who didn't back them.“Thank you, Thomas, for not investing in us. Maybe that pushed us forward even more.”This self-awareness is part of what's made Credo so beloved in the ecosystem: no arrogance, no buzzwords—just clear conviction, strong founder relationships, and outcomes that speak louder than headlines. This award wasn't just about Credo—it was a signal to every fund building off the beaten path:That it's possible to build world-class performance from anywhereThat recognition follows consistencyAnd that humility and humor are strengths, not liabilities“The real credit goes to the founders we've backed. Their success is why we're here today.”Congratulations to Credo Ventures—EUVC Firm of the Year 2025.May DPI stay high, and KPIs stay fun.Building Beyond the SpotlightA Touch of Humility. A Lot of Performance.A Win for the Underdogs

When a company's values don't match its actions, the impact can be devastating. Kim and Amy speak with investigative journalist Gardiner Harris about his book, No More Tears: The Dark Secrets of Johnson & Johnson. Harris uncovers how a company once seen as the gold standard of integrity used its famous “Credo” to build emotional trust while covering up harmful practices—from baby powder linked to cancer to its role in the opioid crisis. The conversation goes beyond one company, raising bigger questions about accountability, transparency, and the systems meant to keep us safe. It's a candid look at how misplaced trust can cause lasting damage—and what it really takes to create a culture where honesty and responsibility come first. Annie Jackson has been a key player in the successes of the industry's most prominent beauty companies. Annie began her career at Estée Lauder, where, after six years, she was recruited to be one of the early members of the team that launched Sephora USA and Japan. Later, she took on the role of Director of Global Product Marketing for Benefit Cosmetics and, in 2011, returned to her roots in merchandising for color cosmetics at Sephora within JCPenney. Her love of beauty and quest for cleaner options led her, alongside Shashi Batra, to create Credo Beauty. As Co-founders, they shared a vision to change the way people think about what they put in and on their bodies and skin, fostering a new generation of beauty brands—natural, organic, effective, clean, and sustainable—and to pioneer the clean beauty movement. In today's episode, Nada talks with Annie about the non-traditional path that led her to the beauty industry. Annie shares her ambitious jump into adulthood when she crossed the country without the benefit of family or a degree, but found herself with a dream job at Estée Lauder. After spending time at two global brands, Annie took a break to be with her children, and later, she returned to the beauty space when an industry friend lured her back with a new vision. She recalls her initial hesitancy when her soon-to-be business partner, Shashi, pitched the idea of Credo. She quickly discovered her passion for clean beauty and an opportunity to reshape the industry by offering consumers transparency and skincare alternatives that were good for them and the planet.
