Motor carriers and owner-operators will no longer have to scrounge around looking for a specific chassis at the shipping docks or rail yards. Carriers can select their own chassis to haul a container. A recent FMC announcement says not offering a “chassis of choice” violates the federal Shipping Act. Katie George Hooser is the Chief Marketing Officer for IMC Companies, the largest marine drayage company in the United States. In her role, Katie oversees the company's brand, public relations, digital marketing and events. She also leads the National Driver Recruiting Department for IMC Companies and is responsible for sourcing and qualifying truck drivers.
