The Toronto Maple Leafs are all set to kick off another season against the Montreal Canadiens and as usual there's no shortage of storylines as we drop the puck. Jeff Veillette returns to break it all down with Matt Robinson. The Leafs have drastically overhauled their top 6 forwards - but is it a better group? What's reasonable to expect out of Matthew Knies? Is the success of the D directly tied to how well Liljegren continues to develop? And of course - where will the Buds finish in an improving Atlantic Division? If you're looking for more of Jeff's work - you can find him at: https://www.canadasportsbetting.ca/Follow TCA on bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/tallcanaudio.bsky.socialFollow TCA on Threads: https://www.threads.net/@tallcanaudioFollow TCA on Twitter: https://twitter.com/tallcanaudioFollow TCA on Instagram: https://instagram.com/tallcanaudio?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= Follow TCA on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/tallcanaudio
The Flyers will take the ice against the Toronto Maple Leafs at 2pm on Thursday; an odd time, to be sure, but kind of a fun one too, no? The recently red-hot Leafs have cooled off of late, winning only one of their last three. Overall they're 5-3 in the month of December and easily one of the top teams in the league, so the Flyers will really have to bring it. Jeff Veillette of CanadaSportsBetting.ca joined us again to dig into it all. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
If you pay any attention to the Toronto sports media, you might think the Maple Leafs are a disaster beyond remedy, not the .500 hockey team filled with superstars off to a bit of a slow start. The team is loaded up front but is that enough to overcome a very questionable situation in goal? Jeff Veillette of CanadaSportsBetting.ca gave us the inside scoop on what's been going on in Toronto that has Leafs fans so worked up. Learn more about your ad choices. It's a short but crazy weeek as we kick off the NHL season. At the beginning of each hockey year we run a total breakdown of both squads involved in the Battle of Ontario and today Jeff Veillette joins Matt to handle the Toronto Maple Leafs side of things. We'd love it if you'd help out the podcast by leaving us a rating inside your app. It just takes a sec but means a ton to us. We ask Jeff about how underwhelming offseasons are to be expected for a team like the Leafs, whether the goaltending is really as bad as many think it could be, why the D remains underrated across the league, if this forward group is deeper than it's been in previous years and finally hit some over/unders for the squad. Jeff is a wonderfully insightful guest who has a unique take on the team and we always appreciate him making time for us. The Toronto Maple Leafs are set to drop the puck on an all new season on Wednesday night against the Montreal Canadiens so we turn to our pal Jeff Veillette to help us set the table. We'd love it if you'd take a second to leave a rating and a review there inside your podcast app. It only takes a second and it helps us out a great deal. On the agenda today - did the Leafs make the right moves this off-season? What does Wayne Simmonds have left in the tank? Is there a chance we see Josh Ho-Sang in the NHL this year? Is Ilya Mikheyev the most unlucky player in the league and what does this latest injury mean for his future? What can we expect out of John Tavares, William Nylander, Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews over the next 6 months? Which of the Buds could be headed to Beijing for the Olympics and tons more? Jeff is one of the most insightful guys covering the team on a regular basis and we were thrilled to have him join us to help get you set for action. Alex and Chace are back and so is hockey! The season is finally here and there will be games to talk about. However, the guys wanted to do one last episode highlighting big narratives and storylines heading into this NHL season. Today, they do just that by listing what they're most excited to keep an eye on. As well, Jeff Veillette of the Faceoff Circle joins them! The three take a look at a very wide range of topics. Including what will COVID-19 protocols look like and how will the league handle cancelled games? As well as discussing who the fourth team in the West will be and if it is obvious or will it be a close race? They also discuss the North division and what to expect this season from a bunch of the teams. Alex asks the question will the pressure be an issue for the Toronto Maple Leafs? To which both Chace and Jeff answer with their thoughts. Tune in for all of this and more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!

Jeff Veillette says when it comes to the NHL, there are so many areas where there is a benefit to being in the middle ground & that shows with the way the play-in round is set up as teams that weren't in the playoff picture have a chance to get in & on the opposing side, a playoff team before the pause could get the first overall pick.
I got to talk with Jeff a couple of weeks ago and we break down every facet of the Maple Leafs, the players, the team, coaching, the Marlies, and much more. With the boys hitting the ice this is a little sliver to get you hyped up!!! Be sure to check out Jeff's work @ faceoffcircle.ca
