But we also want to let you know that the LA Galaxy may not be wrapping up yet. Are you confused? Don't worry. We're here to unconfuse you. And you're going to want to stick around for a little story about a little turkey (only one nine-pound turkey was harmed in the making of this podcast) Host Josh Guesman wants to update you on the Galaxy's offseason schedule and why some players have already flown the coop. Why is the club in voluntary workouts? And what is the technical staff doing behind the scenes? Josh wants to talk briefly about Jalen Neal, why the Galaxy should be at home for the first weekend of the league, and why playing against Charlotte FC might be one of the largest crowds in league history. Have you already booked your hotel? Are you thinking of flying into CLT? We promise there won't be any jokes... Your turkey-eating host will also discuss MLS odds for who could win the MLS Cup, Dennis te Kloese and an announcement on his future, and when the Galaxy might be letting everyone in on their Option Declines and Out-of-Contract players. Soon is the answer. But how soon? Will they ruin Josh's off-week? Finally, Josh will take you back to Maryland, where he'll talk about a tiny turkey that ended up feeding a whole room of people. It's a Thanksgiving miracle of sorts (not really). And Josh would also like to reaffirm his love for his mother-in-law and his wife. Really. He loves them both! Happy Thanksgiving from everyone at CoG! Enjoy some time with your family and maybe don't make room for those vegetables!

The Mane Land: for Orlando City SC fans

Orlando City is back in the postseason! The Lions went to Canada knowing they needed a result on the road against a stubborn CF Montreal side that they hadn't managed to beat in two previous match-ups in their own stadium. It was a daunting task, as almost every MLS road match is, but it was especially difficult after coming off an emotional letdown at the end of the Nashville game against a desperate Montreal team that needed to win to get in. But Oscar Pareja got the minds of his players right and they took care of business north of the border against CF Montreal in a 2-0 win. The Lions withstood the early Montreal energy and press and managed to hold on until the offense could get a foothold, with Sebas Mendez scoring a spectacular golazo and Daryl Dike adding insurance late in the match with his 10th goal of the season. Dave Rohe and I break down the regular season finale and make our Man of the Match selections. We're split this week but either of us could have made the other's pick. We also discussed Orlando City's playoff scenario and why the postseason road could have been much tougher even though the Lions will be on the road for all but one possible match-up in the East. The West had a crazy Decision Day and we touch on that as well. This week's mailbag asked about Chris Mueller, our favorite sports playoff moments, and what a Bizarro World with Dike in Miami would have looked like this season. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. That's all for this week. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 271 went down: 0:15 - Orlando City spoils Montreal's postseason hopes while making their own playoff dreams come true in a solid road performance. 35:15 - A walk through the final standings and what they mean for Orlando City's road to MLS Cup, and no, we're not getting ahead of ourselves. Why do you ask? 56:57 - Our mailbag has questions and if we don't give the answers, well, who will? Some other podcast, I guess. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Are the Galaxy prepared to start winning right now? And are they ready to get Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez back on the field? Today's show will get you ready for the Galaxy's next game against the Colorado Rapids. And that's going to be a massive test for a team that doesn't know what their best lineup is and is having to go to altitude to try and beat a team they haven't beat since 2017. Orlando City finally had a good offensive night, scoring three times against the defending MLS Cup champion Columbus Crew. All of those were needed as an own goal by Antonio Carlos and a quick second goal by Miguel Berry turned a 2-0 deficit into a 2-2 game in the second half. But Junior Urso came to the rescue to provide the final margin. Orlando is now unbeaten in seven straight games and we're breaking down the match-up and giving you our picks for Man of the Match. Daryl Dike and Junior Urso were obviously strong contenders, having made the MLS Team of the Week. Add Mason Stajduhar to the list of Lions who have spent time out with injuries this season. Stajduhar's torn meniscus gave Adam Grinwis his first start since rejoining Orlando City and he made the most of his opportunity, beating the Crew for the second time in purple. The new backup is another familiar face in the form of Greg Ranjitsingh. The Pride, gave up a horrible early goal to the Houston Dash but managed to fight back for a 1-1 draw at home on Sunday. Orlando must do better than tread water in home matches but at least one point is better than none. Taylor Kornieck soared high to head home the game-tying goal to keep the Pride above the playoff line for the moment, but other teams are lurking close behind and they have games in hand. The USMNT is raising everyone's blood pressure so far with two straight draws in World Cup qualifying. We aren't ready to panic but the margin for error is shrinking. We discuss Gregg Berhalter's team and how it can get back on track in qualifying. This week's mailbag asked about the NWSL championship, the USMNT, other MLS teams' third strikers, and whether we were in Nashville for Sunday's qualifier. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. We close the show with our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City at Atlanta United. That's all for this week. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 262 went down: 0:35 - Orlando City got a big night of offense to fend off the Crew and Daryl Dike was a big reason why (literally and figuratively). 22:39 - The Pride needed to take all three points but got only one. That's better than none, we guess, but the season is winding down and every match is magnified in importance. 45:20 - We answer our listener mail and give our predictions for the Lions at Atlanta. Orlando City is in a bit of a scoring drought but the defense has been stout so at least the Lions are able to get something even when held without a goal. The draw against Miami isn't what the Lions or their fans wanted, especially in a match that saw the team awarded a penalty, but the return of El Pulpo and a strong match from the back line helped secure a point in a scoreless draw at home on Saturday. We break down the game and make our Man of the Match selections. The Pride, however, went on the road and rebounded nicely from their loss against the Spirit, beating NJ/NY Gotham FC 1-0 at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey. Erik Tymrak was the offensive hero and once again Ashlyn Harris did everything you could possibly ask from your goalkeeper. Not only did Harris pick up the clean sheet, but she also walked off the field with the league's all-time career saves record. Becky Burleigh has the team playing hard even if the Pride — like the Lions — aren't putting many shots in the net. We then turned our attention to Saturday night's Orlando City match-up against the Columbus Crew. To help us do that, we spoke with Orri Benatar from Massive Report, who helped us understand what's been going on in Central Ohio with the defending MLS Cup champs and we're all saddened at Kevin Molino facing yet another torn ACL. Big thanks to Orri for stopping by, especially since he had basically 20 minutes notice because I suck at lining up guests in advance. After a little bit of MLS All-Star Game discussion, we jumped into this week's mailbag, which asked about Orlando City's best XI and the epic way Manchester United swooped in to steal Cristiano Ronaldo from archrival Man City. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. We close the show with our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City vs. the Columbus Crew. That's all for this week. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 261 went down: 0:15 - Orlando City ran its unbeaten streak to six matches and the Pride got back in the win column in an important road contest. 41:50 - Orri Benatar jumps in to give us the lowdown on the Columbus Crew, who have dealt with a similar rash of injuries and call-ups to what Orlando has dealt with in 2021. 1:03:44 - All-Star festivities, some listener mail, and our predictions for the Lions and the Crew.
