This week, Pastor Andrey Gorban continues our series through the Gospel of John by focusing our attention on one of the most iconic titles given to Jesus: The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.Preaching from John 1:19–34, Pastor Andrey walks us through the prophetic ministry of John the Baptist—not as a celebrity prophet or spiritual influencer, but as a humble voice crying in the wilderness. John knew who he wasn't—he wasn't the Christ, wasn't Elijah, wasn't the prophet—and he knew exactly who he was: a pointer to the One who is greater. In this message, you'll hear how John's self-forgetfulness is a model for our own Christian witness. You'll be reminded that ministry isn't about building a platform—it's about lowering ourselves so others might lift their eyes to Jesus. With rich theological insight and warm pastoral care, this sermon calls us to re-center our lives on the One who gave His life for ours, and to be content with simply saying: “Look to Him.”

Throughout the Bible, a lamb was a symbol of sacrifice, but when it came to Christ, THE lamb of God, He was the sacrifice for man's salvation. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1561/29
John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” What a wonderful truth we have here from which to take great comfort. If we look at it from our own perspective, we have our own personal sin-bearer. He removes our sins from us so we can be made right with God. He's the Lamb of God, pointing to His sacrificial ministry on our behalf. Behold Him! Look at Him! Be amazed at Him! Thank Him. If we look at it collectively, the statement is even more stunning. He has taken away all of the sins of everyone in His body with whom He's related. Therefore, we have a basis for total forgiveness for those who sin against us. Indeed, we can pray, “Forgive us our sins, debts, and trespasses as we forgive those who sin, trespass, and are indebted to us.” We may share the blessing of the Lamb of God with others. If we look at this statement for insight into Jesus and His character, we can be encouraged that His sin-bearing wasn't thrust upon Him; He actively took up our sins. He went after it with the full intention of removing it and setting us free from sin's penalty. His life wasn't taken from Him, He gave it up willingly. The apostle John rightly defined God's love in this statement and echoed it in his first epistle. 3:26. “We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” And, 4:10. “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” So what should our response be to this verse and the ones in 1 John? John tells us. “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another” (1 Jo. 4:11). Living to love with Jesus means we willingly take up the sins of others who sin against us and lay down our lives that they might live before us. We don't call them toxic and cast them into the outer darkness of our lives. Whoever does that does not know God. No, for the glory of God through Jesus Christ, we intentionally, willingly, knowingly, repeatedly take up their sins and recognize Jesus has already taken away their sins to bring that person to God, just like He has with us. I invite you to become a partner in our ministry. Would you pray about becoming a regular supporter of Elijah Ministries and the Live to Love with Jesus ministry? I hope you will receive the joy and benefit of “giving it forward,” so others may receive encouragement to turn their hearts to God and to live to love with Jesus. Sunday March 16, 2025Scripture: Isaiah 53Teacher: Danielle VisserThe image of Jesus on a cross strikes some of us as an overreaction - like "surely there's nothing I could have done to deserve THAT". Others assume that as horrible as the Cross is, it's not enough - like "My sins are too serious; I'm unforgivable. THAT would never work for me." In this message, Danielle goes to the Scripture to show how it corrects both assumptions: The Cross is good news: Yes, there's a penalty we all deserved, but it's been borne by Jesus. And yes, we all deserve to be separated from God, but a substitute has settled it for us!#Gospel #Jesus #church #PSA #atonement #cross #lambofGod #passover
Most believers are waiting for the Lamb of God—but what if I told you the world is about to meet Jesus the Judge? The church is soft-pedaling the truth, but the Bible is clear—Jesus is coming back not just as the Savior, but as the righteous Judge of nations. And here's the real kicker: whether you encounter Him as the Lamb or the Judge depends on where you stand right now. This is the revelation most churches aren't preaching, and I'm going to break it all down.
A study through the gospel of John. Pastor Keith takes a look at John chapter one and the significance of Jesus being grace and truth. John the Baptist was a testimony and witness to Jesus. Once we believe in Jesus, we too become a testimony and witness. This week, Randy Bourn preaches and helps us look at how Jesus may not have shown up as the King we expected, but as the Lamb each of us need.
The Passover was a foreshadowing of what was to come. A greater sacrifice that would save all who are covered in the blood of the lamb. During the “Passion Week” we find Jesus is in the upper room with His disciples for what would be their last meal together. We see in this text that Jesus endured betrayal, abandonment, false accusations, and was wrongly convicted and yet continued to humbly obey the Father.
The ultimate goal of every Christian is to become more and more like Jesus with each season of our life. Knowing our Lord and Savior intimately is the only way to accomplish that. In today's episode, Pastor Frances, presents Jesus as the Lamb of God. No one gets to know Jesus unless they know Him as such. We hope that by the end of this series, you will have a clearer understanding of who Jesus is to you. For more information visit: globalgraceministries.com/

Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.” -John 20:30–31 No one on earth had a more intimate relationship with Jesus than the Apostle John and through his gospel, we can know and draw nearer to the One Who loves us more than we could ever hope and imagine. John wrote his gospel with a clear purpose in mind: that we might believe that Jesus is the One Who can save us, and experience the fullness of the life He offers both here and for eternity. Come along with us as we learn how to have that life in the powerful name of Jesus.

Sin is so ugly. If you want to know how bad sin is, look at what Christ suffered on the cross. Many of us think that we are basically good people, but sin is so serious that the blood of animals couldn't pay the price for it—only the blood of God's own Son, Jesus Christ, could save us. Let's love Jesus for the great love He showed us first.

“It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Why is Christmas a wonderful time of year? Well, as Andy Williams croons, there are “kids jingle belling and everyone telling you be of good cheer.” Plus, we'll be going to parties, roasting marshmallows, caroling Christmas tunes, and, of course, “much mistltoeing.” It truly is wonderful. But doesn't it seem like there must be more to than just family celebrations and great music? Why is Christmas filled with so much wonder? Why is it any different than other holidays? Why don't we experience the same wonder on President's Day or Thanksgiving? This Sunday, we'll finish our series through John 1, by looking at the why behind Christmas and why it is so wonderful.
Do you ever fall into the traps of pride or despair? Do you ever feel the pain of not belonging? Today we study the third and fourth "I Am" statements of Jesus and see Him as both the Lamb of God and the Good Shepherd. Key verses: John 9+10, Isaiah 40:11 Key takeaways: 1. Because Jesus is the Lamb you can trust Him as your Shepherd. 2. Both pride & pressure are unhealthy responses to feeling like you don't belong 3. Pastor Jim explores the account of Jesus's early ministry in the Gospel of John, emphasizing John the Baptist's role in pointing to Jesus as the true Messiah. John's call for repentance and baptism symbolizes entry into the promised land with the Messiah, contrasting his repentance-focused baptism with Jesus's transformative baptism through the Holy Spirit. Warning against misplaced reliance on external factors for salvation, John directs people to prepare their hearts for Jesus, stressing salvation found solely in Him. The sermon challenges listeners to shed distractions, embrace a new way of living, and recognize Jesus as the source of true fulfillment. Repentance and belief in Jesus are encouraged, emphasizing the need to remove distractions and make way for Him in our lives, with the role of Christians highlighted in pointing others to Jesus, especially during Christmas.
