We are living in a world filled with counterfeit truth—where lies sound spiritual and deception wears a friendly face. The apostle John warns us that the real danger isn't just future evil, but false teaching already among us. In a time when truth is under attack, God calls His people to remain rooted in His Word and to walk in righteousness as the unmistakable evidence that they truly belong to Him.
A new MP3 sermon from Berean Baptist Church is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: The Way is the Life and Truth Subtitle: John - Jesus Is The Christ Speaker: Sean E. Harris Broadcaster: Berean Baptist Church Event: Sunday - AM Date: 7/6/2025 Bible: John 13:36-14:4 Length: 44 min.
How can you know you truly belong to Christ? In this message, John reveals how the evidence of your new nature is seen in how you relate to God, to other believers, and to the world. Real faith is never passive. Though salvation is by grace through faith, faith leads to transformation. True believers obey God's commands, grow in spiritual maturity, and forsake the sinful desires of the world. These marks of spiritual life provide assurance and joy to the believer.
An episode from Berean Baptist Church, an independent body of King James Bible believers located in Springfield Missouri. We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed, and therefore are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament are the complete and divine revelation of God to Man. The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their normal grammatical-historical meaning. We believe that God's Word has been divinely preserved in the English language and commonly known as the Authorized King James Version. Therefore, the Authorized King James Version shall be the official and only translation used by the church. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21). We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam's sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and, that man is totally depraved, and of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:22-23, 5:12, 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-3, 4:17-19). We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-10; I Peter 1:18-19). We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever (John 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Romans 8:1, 38-39; I Cor.1: 4-8; I Peter 1:4-5).We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God's Word, which, however clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to the flesh (Romans 13:13-14; Galatians 5:13; Titus 2:11-15).We believe in that “blessed hope,” the personal, imminent return of Christ who will rapture all believers prior to the seven-year tribulation period. At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints, to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom, which was promised to the nation of Israel (Psalm 89:3-4; Daniel 2:31-45; Zechariah 14:4-11; I Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Revelation 3:10, 19:11-16, 20:1-6).The Berean Baptist Church Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final authority of all that we believe. We do believe, however, that this statement of faith accurately represents the teaching of the Bible. You may visit Berean Baptist Church's website https://bereansgf.org/ or write to them at:507 East Norton Rd,Springfield, MO 65803 The KJV Bible Preaching Churches Podcast is directly supported by Doss Metrics LLC | Ministry Services based out of Cleveland Texas. Harris Broadcaster: Berean Baptist Church Event: Sunday - AM Date: 6/29/2025 Bible: John 13:36-14:4 Length: 46 min.
The apostle John addresses a vital question: can someone truly encounter Jesus and remain unchanged? According to John, the answer is no—those who genuinely know Christ will walk in the light. That means acknowledging sin, not denying it, and trusting in Jesus as our advocate and atoning sacrifice. Confession is not a sign of failure but evidence of spiritual life. Through it, we are restored to fellowship with God and others. John's message assures believers that a changed life is not the root of salvation, but the fruit. This should lead to confidence in salvation and a desire to proclaim the gospel to a dark and broken world.

In the stunning conclusion of Ruth's story, we see God's invisible hand writing a redemptive ending far beyond anyone's expectations. Boaz steps up to redeem Ruth not just legally, but lovingly—and through this act of faithfulness, God weaves Ruth into the royal line of King David… and ultimately Jesus. This chapter reminds us that God is always at work, even upstream from our struggles, orchestrating a story of redemption that's bigger than we can imagine. No mistake is too messy, no season too dark—God is in the redemption business, and your story isn't over.

Can you trust God when life doesn't make sense? Ruth's story reminds us that genuine trust walks in obedience, takes risks, waits in faith—and is always met with the blessing of God's presence and provision. When we can't see the outcome, we can still obey. When it feels risky, we can still take the leap. And when the waiting seems long, God is still working. Trust isn't passive—it's the courageous step into the dark, knowing the Redeemer holds the light.

What breaks your heart the way Paul's heart broke for the lost? In Romans 9:1–3, Paul reveals a deep, painful burden for his own people who are cut off from Christ — a burden so heavy he says he'd give up his own salvation if it meant they'd be saved. This message calls us to examine whether we share God's heart for the lost, both near and far, and challenges us to take action, pray fervently, and join the work of making disciples among the least reached peoples of the world.
