Check out producthype.co to subscribe to the weekly newsletter. Now let's get on with the show. Roy Morejon: Welcome to another edition of Art of the Kickstart. Today I am joined with the founder of the Elevated Craft Cocktail Shaker, Mr. Adam Craft. Adam, thank you so much for joining us today on Art of the Kickstart. Adam Craft: Yeah. Thanks for having me. Happy to be here. Roy Morejon: Yeah. Super stoked to finally get you on the show. It seems like many, many moons ago that you launched your original Kickstarter campaign, raising almost a half a million dollars on Kickstarter, and then over the last two years, you've been in demand over on Indiegogo, and you've now done over $2.5 million in sales, shipping I think over 50,000 of these products out to the backers, so really excited to have you on the show. But before I get ahead of myself, which I typically love to do on these shows, let's tell the audience a little bit about your background in terms of what led you to creating this product and being an entrepreneur. Adam Craft: Yeah. So my background's product design. And prior to starting Elevated Craft, I had a product design and engineering consultancy. And so I was exposed to a lot of different types of products, anything from toys to medical devices. And then what kind of led to the cocktail shaker idea was that I designed a series of vacuum insulated water bottles for somebody, so it gave me exposure to the engineering behind that. In that process, made trips to China, going to those factories, and then ultimately kind of started the shaker as just a side gig and ...

On Episode 233 of Successfully Funded, I got to reconnect with Shelby Olson from Kickbooster. This time we got to chat about Kickboosters latest tool to help creators, their brand new Pledge Manager. Kickbooster’s Pledge Manager aims to integrate with popular e-commerce platforms, Pledge Manager enables creators to pull products in from their e-commerce store and manage their backer’s pledges as they would order in their store. Creators without existing e-commerce stores can use Kickbooster’s Pledge Manager as an opportunity to set a store up and continue post-campaign sales. “Creators, specifically repeat crowdfunding creators, don’t want to waste their time setting up products and configuring all of their settings in a pledge manager, just to have to do it all over again when they start selling their product online,” said Evgeny Gotfrid, Product Manager at Kickbooster. “This is a challenge our pledge manager aims to solve.” Kickbooster’s Pledge Manager leverages the checkout built by parent company, Bold Commerce, to provide creators and backers with a reliable and secure transaction experience. Pledge Manager also aims to address some of the common complaints creators have about similar products on the market. Kickbooster focuses on a performance-based pricing model, structuring its fees around the funds raised in Kickbooster instead of charging a fee based on the funds raised during the crowdfunding campaign— an approach that is notably different from competing products. The software company also excludes shipping from its fee calculation, something creators are dinged on during their campaign and after with most other pledge management solutions. Pledge Manager has been in a closed beta for the past few months and is now open for public access. Creators can learn more and register to use the product by visiting kickbooster.me/pledgemanager.

On this episode of the Successfully Funded Podcast, we talk with Shelby Olson, Marketing Strategist at Kickbooster. Kickbooster creates crowdfunding tools that help project creators raise more, and manage less. Affiliate marketing (sometimes called referral marketing or influencer marketing) is a sales and marketing strategy where you, the creator, encourage your backers, media partners, and brand advocates to refer their network to your crowdfunding campaign in exchange for a reward when that referral leads to a pledge. Kickbooster helps creators run and manage their affiliate, referral, and influencer marketing programs all in one integrated platform. Their platform allows you to focus on building relationships with brand ambassadors, while they take care of the tracking, validating, reporting and commission management. Take a look at their website if you’d like to learn more!
